To say that Swae Lee has been hard at work on his upcoming album would be a major understatement. The Rae Sremmurd artist has been plotting his sophomore solo LP, Human Nature, for quite some time now, and it looks like going into isolation with nothing but time on his hands has paid off, at least productivity-wise. On Saturday (June 13th), Mike Will Made-It, founder and CEO of EarDrummers Entertainment where Swae has been signed since 2014, offered an update on the status of Human Nature, and it looks like the producer has a lot of work ahead of him. Mike revealed that Swae had sent him upwards of 700 songs to sift through.
"This man swae lee just submitted 733 songs to choose from for his album," he tweeted, along with a "mind blown" exploding head emoji. While it's possible that he could be exaggerating, the number seems far too specific to be made up.

Swae announced the title of his new album back in March, after dropping the presumed lead single, "Someone Said," the month before. Despite their solo pursuits, Swae and fellow Rae Sremmurd member and brother, Slim Jxmmi, insist that they have not broken up.
Swae Lee’s 2 Girlfriends Wish Him Happy Birthday
Swae Lee brought in a new year of life with his two girlfriends.
Swae Lee is getting some birthday love from both of his girlfriends as he turns 27.
Let me just preface this by saying that there are many more important things happening in the world right now than celebrity relationship drama. However, if you’ve been looking to gossip news and outside drama to distract yourself from everything, we’ve got you covered.
For years, Rae Sremmurd member Swae Lee has been making headlines for his seemingly-toxic relationship with Marliesia Ortiz. On any given day, Ortiz pulls out receipts and calls out the singer for cheating, abuse, or more. This weekend, the multi-platinum artist turned 27 and Ortiz took to her socials to wish him a happy birthday. She wasn’t alone though.
On another side of the internet, Swae Lee’s other girlfriend Tori also shared pictures with the superstar and sent a message.
“Happy birthday Khalif,” she wrote on one image, claiming that their love is “4L (For Life)” in another.
On Marlie’s side, she said that she’s happy about where their bond has taken them.
“This baby boy a year older?!” wrote Swae’s main chick on Instagram. “For LIFE and LIFE after LIFE. This man deserves the world! And I’m so proud of what you’re becoming!!”

Swae Lee Dedicates Cover Of Diddy’s "I’ll Be Missing You" To "The Loved Ones We Lost"
Swae Lee dedicated his cover of Diddy, Faith Evans, and 112's "I'll Be Missing You" to "the loved ones we lost and everyone joining this fight.
Swae Lee decided to be a source of healing for the world through the art of music. On Friday (June 5th), as protests against police brutality and systemic racism persist across the country and around the globe, Swae shared a 2-minute clip to Instagram to acknowledge the events going in the world right now.

“Hey, what’s up you guys,” he begins in the video. “I’ve just been tuning in, paying attention to everything going on around us in the media, in our communities, right outside our front doorstep. So, I just wanted to use my voice to do something positive. Imma sing a little tune for y’all. Vibe wit’ it." He proceeds to perform a tribute cover of Diddy, Faith Evans, and 112's 1997 song, "I'll Be Missing You," originally written in memory of the late Notorious B.I.G. Swae dedicated the beautiful tune and its powerful message to "the loved ones we lost and everyone joining this fight pushing forward."

Earlier this week, Swae partook in one of the demonstrations occurring in Miami to fight these horrible injustices done by police. “The voices of humanity are being heard now more than ever !!!!” he wrote on a post from the protest. “Feel the power of unity we have always been stronger as one …putting our differences aside is the biggest step for mankind. One love everyone stay safe and remember the right thing to do is the right thing."
Swae Lee Called Out By Ex Marlie For Being With Another Woman
Swae Lee and his ex-girlfriend Marlie are often at odds, and this time, she’s upset that another woman posted him on social media.
There are plenty of tumultuous relationships that exist in Hollywood, but one romance that has often made headlines is that of Swae Lee and his one-again-off-again girlfriend Marlie. The pair has often been at odds, spilling their private relationship drama over to social media platforms. Last July, Swae Lee apologized to Kimora Lee Simmons following Marlie rant against the mogul’s daughter over her friendship with the Rae Sremmurd star. Marlie was also reportedly arrested for headbutting Swae, and then there were rumors that she wanted to put a hit out on him. Now, it looks as if Swae and Marlie are back at it, and Marlie is once again sharing their business with the world.
Amy Sussman / Staff / Getty ImagesThis recent set of trouble seems to have stemmed from a post that allegedly showed Swae hugged up close with another woman. “I’m a simple girl I get the rapper life but rule number one don’t let no hoe post u lol,” Marlie wrote on her Instagram Story. “That’s law. And don’t try to apologize behind closed doors for disrespecting me the f*ck.”
Marlie then shared a screenshot of a DM conversation with Swae where he accused her of being in Miami with her boyfriend, insinuating that she doesn’t have a reason to be upset with him. “If this your n*gga come get him,” she wrote along with a series of laughing emojis. French Montana Throws Mad Shade At Swae Lee
French Montana says he came up with the entire idea for Rae Sremmurd's "Powerglide" but never got any credit for it.
French Montana has been on a wild press run, calling up numerous media outlets and talking his shit. The New York rapper initially did some damage when he claimed to have more hits than Kendrick Lamar. Sometime between then and now, he insinuated that he structured his hit record "Unforgettable" with Swae Lee. That comment angered the Rae Sremmurd artist, who ended up calling "cap" on him. Now, their relationship appears to be strained and in another new video, French Montana threw some major shade at Swae.
Speaking with Billboard, French Montana claimed that he produced Rae Sremmurd's song "Powerglide" but that he never got credit for it. Now that a feud has kicked off with Swae Lee, he noted that he will come after his royalties now.
Neilson Barnard/Getty ImagesThat wasn't all though. Speaking about their near-diamond record "Unforgettable," French Montana called out Swae Lee for releasing a would-be second version and not including him.
"If I didn't structure the song, what happened when they put out 'Unforgettable' part 2, 'Guatemala'? How come that didn't sell nine million?" asked French. "That's how they try and do me. I do 'Unforgettable', they take me out and he replaces me with somebody else to come out with a part 2. I never took it no way."
It sounds like French and Swae need to hop on a call to hash things out because this is getting messy quickly.
Swae Lee Calls "Cap" On French Montana "Unforgettable" Claims
French Montana claims he had to structure “Unforgettable” before it was released but Swae Lee begs to differ.
French Montana and Swae Lee are behind one of the biggest hits of the last decade in “Unforgettable” but they seem to have different stories about how the song came about.
In the last few weeks, French Montana has been involved in tons of drama, stemming from his comments about Kendrick Lamar during an interview with Complex. The rapper said that he would “outshine” Kendrick on a festival stage because he has more hits than him, which did not sit well with fans at all. Young Thug stepped up to fight him on it before Fivio Foreign called him out as well. Now, it would appear as though Swae Lee may not want to be associated with the rapper anymore.
Neilson Barnard/Getty ImagesSpeaking about their collaborative single “Unforgettable” in a new video, French Montana claimed he has one of the best ears in the business because he structured the entirety of the song.
“It didn’t have no structure. I had to sit there like a scientist and put it together,” said the rapper.
Swae Lee was unfond of those remarks, calling them “cap” before French went and started some drama again.
“I HAD A MONKEY BEFORE YOU. YOU HAD THE MONKEY FIRST?” asked French about their affinity for exotic pets. “LETS BEEF ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE NOT UNFORGETTABLE WE WON.”
At this point, French Montana should possibly consider just laying low for the next few weeks. He continues to let his mouth get him in trouble.
French Montana Reacts To Nearly Going Diamond
French Montana reflects on selling eight million records on the anniversary of his biggest song ever, "Unforgettable" with Swae Lee.
French Montana seriously delivered a goldmine three years ago when he released one of the defining songs of the year, "Unforgettable" with Swae Lee. The track cemented Swae Lee as a veritable solo artist, and it also gave French Montana that one mainstream hit that he was missing. Until the end of his days, the Bronx native will be getting hefty cash payments from the song.
On the three-year anniversary of its release, French Montana is looking back at how much it has changed lives across the globe. He posted a touching message on Instagram.
Eugene Gologursky/Getty Images"JUST IN TODAY - 8 MILLION RECORDS SOLD ! ALMOST DIAMOND," wrote the 35-year-old rapper. "NOTHING MADE ME HAPPIER THAN SEEING THESE KIDS’ FACES AFTER I GOT THEM THE 12 VISAS TO COME TO THE LAND WHERE DREAMS COME TRUE, I KNOW THAT FEELING," he added, referring to the children he filmed the video with in Uganda.
"IT WAS MORE THAN A SONG IT WAS A LIFE CHANGING EVENT THAT HELPED MILLIONS, THANK YOU TO ALL THE FANS BECAUSE ON THIS DAY 3 YEARS AGO IT CAME OUT AND MY BROTHER @swaelee THE YOUNG GOAT AKA BLANKET JACKSON," he wrote.
That final statement speaks volumes about the talent of Swae Lee. French clearly believes that he is a spawn of the great Michael Jackson. Do you think the Rae Sremmurd member will continue levelling up to prove that to the rest of the world?
Swae Lee Finishing His Album In Self-Quarantine
Swae Lee is making the best out of his current self-isolation period, taking the time to polish off the rest of his new album.
Given the current state of affairs, with many artists having made the wise decision to self-quarantine, it feels like the music industry can go one of two ways. For one, it could see artists so bored and or inspired to make a difference that they string together albums with little to no turnaround time, thus creating a new era of mid-plague mixtapes borne of spontaneity and cabin fever. Or two, things remain in a state of delay, with artists or labels unwilling to drop off their hard work without the ability to stage an accompanying.

Some artists have already chosen a course of action. Roddy Ricch has been hard at work on new music, and Spillage Village recently announced a brand new album is on the way. Evidently, Swae Lee is ready to cast his hat in that particular pile, taking to Twitter to confirm that he was locking in to finish up his next project. A project that presumably includes the Mike WiLL Made-It produced "Someone Said," released before the world seemingly went into shutdown mode.
As stated earlier, it's difficult to figure out how album release dates will be affected by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, yet at this rate it wouldn't be surprising to see things operate in extremes. Come summer, we're getting either an influx or a drought. Either way, a new Swae Lee album is in the pipeline. Stay healthy everybody.
Swae Lee Really Hosted A IG Live Concert In Quarantine & It Was Lit
Swae Lee really crowd surfed on Instagram Live.
The Coronavirus pandemic is really f*ckin' up the money right now. As health officials continue to urge everyone to practice social distancing, festivals, tours, concerts, and performances, in general, are getting canceled to prevent further spread of Coronavirus. That being said, Swae Lee found a clever way around this, though it's more for the benefit of his fans.
Swae Lee put on a show last night for his fans, even though everyone is in quarantine. The rapper hit Instagram Live where he performed a slew of hits while maintaining the same energy you'd expect from him. Self-isolated in a studio, the rapper thanked the "sold out" audience that he was performing for while also "bringing a fan on stage" and crowd surfing.
Though it's safe to say that Swae Lee does have a lot of things to keep him preoccupied during the lockdown, he's clearly missing the stage right now. Many concerts and performances have been canceled or postponed in recent times but ahead of the outbreak, Swae Lee was on tour with Post Malone which has since been canceled. Today was actually supposed to be the final date of the tour while Swae was expected to perform at Coachella next month. The annual festival in California has been postponed until the fall.
Peep clips from Swae's IG performance below.
Swae Lee To Perform Free Concert Via Instagram Live
Swae Lee announced that he’ll be streaming a free concert through Instagram live while folks around the world are stuck at home due to coronavirus.
Swae Lee will be performing a concert free of charge over Instagram live on Friday night, in order to keep his fans at home entertained while the world self-quarantines due to the spread of coronavirus. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced tons of people around the world to practice social distancing and avoid venturing out into the streets, which means music lovers can no longer go see their favourite artists perform live.

As a result, many musicians like John Legend and Coldplay’s Chris Martin have taken to performing at home over Instagram live to make up for all the cancelled concerts due to coronavirus . On Thursday, Swae Lee become the latest artist to join these ranks, as he announced that he’d be hitting the “stage” Instagram live on Friday to perform for his fans.
“Instagram live concert tomorrow @8:00,” Swae wrote on IG, although he failed to specify whether he meant Pacific or Eastern time. “Free tickets see y’all then hitting the stage @ 8.” On Friday, he clarified that the concert would be held at 8:00pm “western” time, likely meaning PST as Swae resides in California. Swae was on the road with Post Malone on their Runaway Tour when the pandemic reached new heights, forcing them to postpone the remaining dates and head home. However, going into isolation has been too difficult for Swae.
“Social distancing is easy,” he wrote on a photo of himself in a custom, bedazzled surgical mask earlier this week. “I was doing that anyway.” Don’t miss Swae’s free concert tonight!
