It unclear what led to the demise of Lil Baby and Jayda Cheaves's relationship. The happy hip hop couple called it quits after welcoming a son together, and they've done their best at keeping things amicable. Last month, during an interview with The Morning Hustle, Lil Baby ended any rumors that he's at odds with the mother of his child. "It ain't no like, 'still together.' She my son mama, so it ain't no way we cannot be together," he said. "Even if we not in a relationship like boyfriend and girlfriend type sh*t, we got a relationship 'cause we got a kid. We got a small kid so we gotta kick it no matter what."
On Tuesday (April 7), Jayda caught a bit of heat after she made a few comments about motherhood during an Instagram Live session. The 22-year-old was asked in her comments if she wanted more children. She laughed it off and added, "I mean, be real with yourself. Do it look like I want more kids? I'm playing, but I said I'm not having another child until I get married."
She advised childless couples to hold off on having children together. "I stress to my best friend a hundred times a day, like, don't have no baby," Jayda said. "Stay just f*ckin' wit' a n*gga. Don't let that n*gga get you pregnant 'cause uh uh, don't have a baby. I'm telling you. Don't have a baby, have fun. I love my baby, don't get me wrong, but like, they ruin relationships."
Jayda attempted to clarify her statements after a clip of her remarks was shared on The Shade Room. "SOME ppl change even more when a child is involved. That’s it! That’s all," she stated. "I’m a damn good mother and nobody can take that away from me." Watch a snippet of Jayda's IG Live and read a few responses below.
Lil Baby Says Alexis Skyy "Lied On Me" & Talks Relationship With Jayda
Lil Baby talked about the recent internet beef between Jayda, the mother of his son, and Alexis Skyy.
It’s Lil Baby szn. The Atlanta rapper dropped off My Turn on Friday (February 28), an album packed with heavy-hitting features. The record has been receiving high praise within its first 24 hours of release, and Lil Baby continues to promote the project with his steady round of interviews. While he’s been staying busy working on his legacy as he builds on the billionaire lifestyle he has made clear is a goal he’s set his sights on, the mother of his child, Jayda, and Alexis Skyy have been trading jabs on social media.
The last thing any rising artist needs is for their name to be entangled in online drama, but Lil Baby is right in the middle of a beef between Jayda and Alexis. The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star has made claims that she had some sort of romance with the My Turn rapper. “I suggest you sit TF down b4 I come around & snatch MY N***A back aga… NVM you’ll see,” Alexis Skyy wrote to Jayda on Twitter.
In a recent interview with The Morning Hustle, Lil Baby told the hosts that he doesn’t even know Alexis. When asked if he was “still with” Jayda, he said yes, but clarified his answer. “It ain’t no like, ‘still together.’ She my son mama, so it ain’t no way we cannot be together,” he said. “Even if we not in a relationship like boyfriend and girlfriend type sh*t, we got a relationship ’cause we got a kid. We got a small kid so we gotta kick it no matter what.”
The rapper added that because they’re co-parenting, you won’t see him beefing with Jayda on the internet. “I got real life outside of all that sh*t,” Lil Baby said. “We got sh*t going on.” He typically keeps himself on the outside of drama, but when Alexis made those accusations, he tweeted, “You tried it hoe , that sh*t ain’t work ?” He told The Morning Hustle that the only reason he decided to chime in was “because she lied on me.”
Meanwhile, Alexis tweeted that there’s never been a man who has turned her down and she hopped on Instagram to share a video of herself dancing to My Turn. Check out Lil Baby’s full interview below.
Pastor Troy Talks Lil Nas X, Says He Isn’t Homophobic But Being Gay Isn’t Right
The rapper recently had much to say about Lil Nas X.
The Grammys were overrun with outrageous outfits that are way out of budget for the average American, but Georgia rapper Pastor Troy took aim at 20-year-old Lil Nas X in a recently deleted Instagram post. The 42-year-old hip hop personality seemed to take issue with the “Old Town Road” artist’s pink suit and…well…gay people kissing in an Applebees commercial.

Pastor Troy wrote:
“Welp, Guess I won’t be winning a GRAMMY…If this what I gotta wear. They love to push this shit on Our Kids!! The other day @applebees had some punks kissing and laughing eating mozzarella sticks. First Thing My 14 yr old Son said was, “F**** Applebee’s” And It Brought Joy to My Heart!! He sees it…their agenda to take the masculinity from Men, Black Men Especially. Some may say, “He Making Money!!” Rupaul do too, but I ain’t bumping his CD!!! Integrity is Priceless. Y’all Better open that 3rd Eye and let your Sons Know What Is Real…Or They Ass Gone Be Headed Down That Old Town Road Foreal!!~P.T. #TheyGoneRiiiiiiddddeeeTil theycantnomore #BlackOwnedandIndependent #NotMySons #ItAintWorthIt #Taketheroadlesstraveled #Youwillstillgetthere #DSGB #Wontbeonmypagelong.”
He would later double down on his remarks while dropping the word “f*g” in the process, and social media users were quick to call him homophobic. However, Pastor Troy has resurfaced once again and visited The Morning Hustle to deny those claims. He said: “I’m not homophobic at all. I’ve been in this rap game for 20 years I done took more pictures with gays, transvestites, all that. It’s not my concern what you are or what you do. Just because I took a picture with this person doesn’t mean I gotta go home and tell my son, ‘Hey man, it’s alright to be gay. I just took this picture with this gay person, it’s cool now.’ It ain’t.” Check out his clip in full below.
