While most of Boosie Badazz’s conversation with Theo Von centered about Black issues and Boosie’s response to the protests, towards the very end of the conversation, Boosie casually reveals that he’s got a new business in the works, and it’s one to rival the UFC.

When Theo Von asks Boosie if he wants the UFC, he quickly replies no, before revealing his own fight-business plans:

“I’m finna start my own backyard, across-the-track fights. We just going through the lawyers right now, I got my logo together.”

Boosie says, “Every place got across the track. So we going to be setting up by train tracks. I got the steel gate. Got all my paperwork together. I’ma do five fights in each city.”

As far as Boosie’s role, beyond the business side, he’ll be taking a cue from Joe Rogan and putting on his commentator hat, before elaborating on just how tough his fights will be.

“And it gon’ be funny cause I’ma be the commentator. I’m going to be going off. And how mine is, you gotta be dropped five times. A TKO is five times. The fight keeps on going through out the fifth round if you haven’t been knocked out five times, or you out cold. That’s the only way the fight stops.”

Boosie adds, “We gon’ kill it bro, across the track street fights.”

Theo Von has a pretty eclectic array of guests on his podcast, This Past Weekend. As Boosie Badazz touches down in L.A., the rapper made a surprise appearance on Theo’s podcast, for a candid conversation mainly about race, and issues therein.

In light of protests championing George Floyd’s brutal death at the hands of police, the conversation is very relevant. Boosie shares his take on the protests and riots, as well as the Black experience in America, questioning why no President has ever tried to give Black people reparations, and speaking on just how common police brutality is.

“I think it’s all well-deserved,” Boosie said soberly, in response to whether he sees a difference between the protestors and the looters.

“It been going on,” Boosie said of police killing Black man, citing his own neighborhood hero who he says was “smashed” by a cop, resulting in his death. “It’s just now we got ’em. As soon as something happened it get out. If they didn’t have those cameras– those phones– it blessed us — now they see what they’ve been doing for twenty five years.”

As far as the protests, Boosie elaborates on the elements coming together to create a perfect storm: “People tired of being at home, our President’s crazy, it wasn’t the time for this. Especially for Black people,” Boosie says, before questioning: “Black people should be paid, like the Indians, our race been through more shit than anybody. Why hasn’t any President said why aren’t the Black Americans compensated? We was hanged, our wealth was stolen from us– millions, kids are dying today. Black families should be compensated, why no motherfucking President said it, not even Obama.”

As the conversation continues, Boosie speaks on how the Black story and experience is shared rap music, and how that allows for Black families to be taken care of.

Bhagavan “Doc” Antle was among the three main figures interviewed for Netflix’s new documentary, Tiger King, that’s quickly shaken up the pop culture world. So many celebs have spoken out about the new documentary, from Cardi B voicing support of Joe Exotic, to 50 Cent confirming he did indeed watch the documentary series.

Last week, we reported on how Joe Exotic is suing the feds, as well as former employees for $94 million. He’s currently incarcerated following a murder-for-hire plot gone awry, among some other charges that were all explained in the series. Bhagavan “Doc” Antle, who owns and operates the Myrtle Beach safari, issued a statement after the documentary released distancing himself from it. Carol Baskin and her Big Cat Rescue team released a similar type of statement.

Now, Antle appears on comedian and podcaster Theo Von’s show, where he spoke about some of the faults with the documentary, including his personal representation. He tells Theo Von, first and foremost, he’s a single guy– although the doc made it seem like he has a haram of wives.

“I’m a single guy…I was married 25 years ago. But I’m a single guy, I got girlfriends. They’ve come and gone over the years. It can’t be unique that I got girlfriends, it’s just they were put on a screen saying this and that,” he states, adding that some of the ladies in the series were “relatives” or “significant others of my staff and stuff helping me out.” He also added, “These aren’t teenagers that are walking around here, granted, some of them have been here for decades.”

One of the other points of contention in the doc, is the fact that the documentary filmmakers alluded to Doc Antle euthanizing cubs that could no longer be played with for profit. As far as any “inappropriateness with tiger cubs” Doc states, “They asked me every question in the world, 99% of them had nothing to do with anything that was going to become Tiger King, they just pick and choose pieces.”

He added, “No tiger babies are ever going to be euthanized or pushed out of the way, they’re incredibly special to us.”

Finally, the documentary ends with stating that Doc Antle’s property was raided in December 2019, which Antle says is simply untrue– they were willingly helping out the police. “We were not raided.” He continues, “We had an inquiry from Virginia magistrate, who wanted to get some DNA from some lion cubs.”

When it comes to Exotic Joe, and where everything went wrong for him, Doc Antle shares his perspective on the matter: “I think that he’s had a lot of difficulties that have come up…besides for Carol, PETA was a thorn in his side.”

He continued, “I think that Joe was too big and imploding in his own way, he was taking on the responsibility of so many animals and I think that that is just a difficulty in itself. There’s a certain point that you have to stop.”

It also sounds like Doc Antle may soon be pursuing the filmmakers of Tiger King legally, as he told Theo Von in response to a question about them: “I’ve been advised not to talk about them, if it gets to litigation,” Doc said.
