Tom Hardy stars as a disease-ridden, elderly Al Capone in the first trailer for Josh Trank's Capone. Originally titled Fonzo, the biopic has been in the works since 2016, and now we finally get the first look at the film. Capone follows the notorious gangster as he grapples with old age while living in Miami in the later years of his life. Despite garnering fame during the Prohibition era, Capone is now riddled with syphilis and signs of dementia following an 11-year prison sentence in what has been dramatically billed as the "untold final chapter" of his life. Capone depicts the final days of the Chicago mob boss' life prior to his ultimate death by cardiac arrest on January 25, 1947 just before his 48th birthday.
Trank was the first to release the trailer after tweeting it out on Wednesday. He claimed that the film will be "coming May 12," although it's unclear how it will be released since most movie theatres are temporarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Starring alongside Hardy in Capone are Linda Cardellini, Jack Lowden, Matt Dillon, and Kyle MacLachlan.
"Mad Max 5" To Begin Production This Fall
George Miller will be returning to direct the “Mad Max: Fury Road” follow-up.
In 2015, Australian director George Miller delivered the most ambitious film of his career, the sun-drenched apocalyptic bloodbath that is Mad Max: Fury Road. The film was an instant critical success, securing ten Academy Award nominations and taking home six wins. At the time, Miller was open about his desire to continue the saga, teasing future stories involving both Tom Hardy’s Max and Charlize Theron’s Furiosa. It appears that Miller’s vision will manifest once more, as The Daily Mail has confirmed another Mad Max film has been officially greenlit.

Though little plot details are known save for a working title — Mad Max: The Wasteland — the upcoming flick is set to begin production this autumn in Australia. As of now, neither Tom Hardy nor Theron has committed to reprising their roles, though we can hope they can swing a return. Given how much fun both actors appeared to have during the making-of Fury Road, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them making the scheduling work to the best of their ability.
Keep an eye out for details on The Wasteland to surface. There are many who deem Fury Road to be a modern classic and expectations for a follow-up will be high. In Miller we trust.

Tom Holland Reportedly In Talks To Cameo In "Venom 2"
Sony needs a piece of that radioactive spider-blood.
Though Spider-Man’s cinematic ownership has been, to be frank, a pain in the ass at times, it would appear harmonious ground has been reached. With Sony and Marvel having recently secured shared rights to use Spidey in their respective films, many have speculated that Tom Holland would be swinging his way into Tom Hardy’s ongoing Venom series. After all, Spider-Man and Venom go hand-in-hand, and seeing them separated by studio politics would be a damn shame. Luckily, it would appear that cooler heads are in the process of prevailing, and the gap between the MCU and the Venom-verse may very well be bridged in the near future.

According to a report from Hypebeast, who in turn caught the scoop from Screenrant, Tom Holland is currently in talks to cameo in the upcoming Venom 2. The keyword, of course, being cameo, which speaks to something along the lines of Woody Harrelson’s post-credits scene in the first Venom. Still, should it come to manifest, it would certainly bode well for future Sony films. Remember that Sony owns a bushel of Spidey villains rights, and it would certainly be strange to see them wreak havoc unimpeded by Spidey’s pesky heroism.
Of course, it’s entirely possible this whole thing simply falls apart, and Venom is forced to play the role of a more straightforward hero. Either way, the Andy Serkis-directed movie will rake in the dough. Especially if it gets hit with that coveted R-Rating.
