No one wants to learn that their loved one was killed in a crash while watching or reading the news. Authorities do their best to keep information under wraps when tragedies occur in order to make sure they've correctly identified the victims involved and to give them time to notify family members before anyone else. However, in this day and age where outlets want to be the first to break a story, unspoken rules of ethics aren't abided by.
When TMZ reported the stunning news that Kobe Bryant had died in an accident, many people thought that the celebrity-gossip outlet was mistaken. According to CNN, it had only been an hour since police were even notified of a downed aircraft, so while they were still assessing the scene and trying to identify the passengers of the helicopter, the story was shared on TMZ's website and social media accounts.
It immediately spread like wildfire, but investigators were less than thrilled with the news break. Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva held a press conference where he criticized the outlet. "It would be extremely disrespectful to understand that your loved one... perished and you learn about it from TMZ," Villanueva stated. "That is just wholly inappropriate."
Los Angeles County Undersheriff Tim Murakami expressed his disapproval in a tweet. "I am saddened that I was gathering facts as a media outlet reported the Kobe had passed," Murakami wrote. "I understand getting the scoop but please allow us time to make personal notifications to their loved ones. It’s very cold to hear of the loss media Breaks my heart."
TMZ is well-known for its breaking stories, especially those about celebrity deaths. They were the first to report on the tragic deaths of Michael Jackson, Prince, and Whitney Houston.
Terry Crews Only Concerned About His Wife Following Gabrielle Union Comments
Terry Crews follows up on his AGT comments.
Gabrielle Union previously announced that her contract was not renewed to be a judge on America's Got Talent and it all went down after she reported a racist joke that Jay Leno made on set. The one comment by Jay was apparently an example of racist and sexist behaviour that went down behind the scenes. The host of the show, Terry Crews, recently went on live TV and told the world that while he can't share an experience with Gabrielle on the sexist matter, he doesn't agree with her experience with racism on set. "It was the most diverse place I have ever been in my 20 years of entertainment," he said.

Clearly, Terry never got word that the case (that's still ongoing) was not to be discussed. "Maaaaaan... We all agreed to let the investigation be completed before speaking but if we doing this... ohhhhh baby let's gooooooooooo!" Gabrielle tweeted in a series of upset tweets. "Why anyone would gleefully get up on TV and tell lies that NO ONE disputed... But we already know."
Terry clearly got word of Gabrielle's reaction to his words and he's since followed up with a message of his own that's seemingly aimed at the ordeal. "There is only one woman one earth I have to please. Her name is Rebecca. Not my mother, my sister, my daughters or co-workers. I will let their husbands/ boyfriends/ partners take care of them. Rebecca gives me WINGS," he wrote of his wife.
Meek Mill Trolls Judge Genece Brinkley’s Musical Ambitions
Meek Mill pokes the bear.
It's no secret that Meek Mill has little love for Judge Genece Brinkley. Especially after his revelation that Brinkley blurred inappropriate lines, allegedly encouraging him to cover a "Boyz II Men" song for her benefit. While Meek's freedom was once at stake, the Dream Chaser eventually saw the tides turning in his favor; in July of 2019, Meek was officially removed from probation and Brinkley was taken off his case. And while time may not heal all wounds per se, it might very embolden one to make jokes one would have otherwise abstained from making.

Following last night's Grammy Awards Ceremony, Meek Mill made sure to fire off a few jokes at Brinkley's expense. "Boys to men should of gave my judge a shoutout on stage," he wrote, alongside a shrug emoji for added emphasis. Clearly, he hasn't forgotten about Brinkley's musical ambitions. Now that his fate is no longer in her hands, all bets are off.
Given everything that Meek has been through at Brinkley's hands, it seems little more than a love tap. Still, it's unlikely that Meek's comment will sit well with the Judge, who didn't exactly see eye to eye with the Grammy Nominated rapper. Check it out for yourself below, and show some love in the comments -- should Meek have taken home the Best Rap Album award?
Jaden Smith On Tyler, The Creator’s Win: "My Boyfriend Just Won A Grammy"
Is Jaden next in line for a Grammy?
Tyler, The Creator illuminated the Grammy Awards with an unorthodox performance, employing his IGOR persona and bringing dozens of lookalikes on stage with him. The 28-year-old recording artist brought home the award for Best Rap Album, a decision that he has since critiqued as he feels another category would have been more appropriate. In his acceptance speech, however, he was appreciative and gracious for the opportunity to get up on stage and address his fans, noting that it was probably one of the only times he would get the chance. Continuing a troll narrative from over a year ago, Jaden Smith couldn't contain his excitement when he found out the good news, taking to Twitter to congratulate his "boyfriend."
Telling the world that his significant other, Tyler, The Creator, had just won a Grammy Award, Jaden Smith played the role of a proud stage partner on social media. In the Fall of 2018, the two made tons of headlines when they jokingly announced that they were dating. Fans attempted to unpack their messages to determine if they were actually speaking the truth and, to this day, things have been muddy.
Perhaps Jaden is next in line to win a Grammy Award. Congratulations to Tyler on his monumental win!

Twitter Reacts To Alleged Video Of Kawhi Leonard Making It Rain In Strip Club
"What it do baby?"
Saturday, a video of a man suspected to be Kawhi "Fun Guy" Leonard went viral on Twitter.
The video in question shows a man resembling Leonard wearing a New Balance hoodie receiving a lap dance and making it rain at a strip club. The club would likely be in Miami after the Clippers' 122-117 victory over the Heat.
Many fans took note of the New Balance hoodie in particular. "Kawhi Leonard is the only human on Earth to wear New Balance to the club ?. Confidence level is unbeatable," one fan wrote.
"So THIS why Kawhi too busy to play back-to-backs lmaoo," another remarked.
Celebration would certainly be in the cards for Leonard who notched his first career triple-double with 33 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
"It's just a great honor," Leonard told reporters after the game, according to ESPN. "But I'm just more happy with the win. I just feel good that we came in here and got a win tonight."
"Actually I thought he had one already," Clippers coach Doc Rivers said of the triple-double. "Yeah, that's cool. And he had to -- [the Heat] were trapping him. And instead of trying to force it, he just kept taking the traps, moving the ball, getting guys open shots.
The Clippers' next game is Sunday against the Magic.
Jpegmafia & Earl Sweatshirt Tease Making Music Together On Twitter
A match made in Heaven.
Jpegmafia may be credited on Earl Sweatshirt's next project, whatever that may be.
The Baltimore rapper made it known he plans on spreading the wealth this year on Twitter: "I’m tryna produce for hella n****s this year. Who want background music?"
Earl, who usually spends his time on Twitter praising the legendary Billy Woods, took a break to ask Peggy for a beat: "Lemme get dat," Earl replied.
"IN IT," Jpegmafira wrote, acknowledging Earl's request.
Jpegmafia and Earl Sweatshirt both dropped projects in 2019.
Peggy's All My Hero's Are Cornballs is his best work yet. The project sees the rapper battling with growing fame, cancel culture, the political spectrum and much more.
Earl's Feet of Clay tackles isolation, depression, and more through stream-of-consciousness bars matched with dark, glitched out, jazz-sample heavy production. You can check out our full review of the album here.
The two have been seen together before. In September 2019, Jpegmafia posted a photo of the two on Twitter, which sparked rumors amongst fans that the pair may be making music together. It seems like we may finally be getting that collab.
Father and Balam Acab also replied to Jpegmafia.
Trump Unveils US Space Force Logo But It Looks Just Like "Star Trek" Symbol
Trump gotta be trolling.
Donald Trump has been on the Internet going wild today. First, he took shots at the beloved Barack Obama on Twitter in the midst of his impeachment trial. But today, he unveiled the logo for the US Space Force, the newly launched branch as part of the US military. Whether or not the US Space Force was launched to combat the possibilities of an alien invasion remains to be unseen but with all this Area 51 talk, this might be the first time Trump's taken preventative (we're looking at you, Donald Trump Jr.).
Anyhow, Trump hit Twitter today where he unveiled the US Space Force's new logo and within moments, people were quick to point out just how familiar it looks like, especially among Star Trek fans. In fact, many pointed out that the logo is damn-near identical to the Starfleet logo. It's not surprising that Trump, out of all people, would pick this one as the logo. '
"The US Space Force seal honors the Department of the Air Force's proud history and long-standing record of providing the best space capabilities in the world," a Space Force rep said. "The delta symbol, the central design element in the seal, was first used as early as 1942 by the U.S. Army Air Forces; and was used in early Air Force space organization emblems dating back to 1961. Since then, the delta symbol has been a prominent feature in military space community emblems."
As Star Trek alumnus and Trump critic, George Takei, who played the role of Hikaru Sulu, tweeted, "Ahem. We are expecting some royalties from this..."
Eminem Uses Dolly Parton Meme To "Reveal" His Grindr Profile Photo
Eminem joked about how different he is on each social media platform.
There are unwritten rules pertaining to how we should present ourselves in different forums of the internet. On Twitter, you can generally be your unfiltered self, posting whatever the hell comes to your mind because, well, that's what happens over there. On Facebook, you've got to be a little more in control of your thoughts... After all, your crazy uncle is reading every word you write. The meme format taking over the world right now derives from 74-year-old Dolly Parton, who shared a collage of profile pictures she uses for the different platforms. People are quickly submitting their own entries and Eminem, who just released his surprise album Music To Be Murdered By, decided to throw his name in the hat.

"Do I do this right?" asked Marshall Mathers in his caption, sharing a list of pictures he deems appropriate for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and more. For LinkedIn, he wears a professional get-up, adjusting his tie and looking very employable. Facebook shows a more recent shot of the rapper giving a smouldering look to the camera, feeling himself and his beard line-up. On Instagram, the legendary Detroit native feels he can go a little crazy, posting an image of him as Santa Claus on a reindeer. The bottom right corner of his meme shows what he would use as his Grindr profile pic, joking that he has an account on the gay dating app. As you would expect, it's that iconic firecracker shot.
Yes, Marshall. You did do this right. However, your manager is probably on his way to take your phone away for the day.
