Anthony Joshua has held the majority of the heavyweight title belts for a while now and there was always a sense that he would be able to compete for the undisputed title once Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder figured out their feud. Of course, Fury decimated Wilder the last time the two stepped into the ring and Joshua was foaming at the mouth for a chance to beat his fellow countryman. Well, according to promoter Eddie Hearn, Joshua and Wilder have worked out a two-fight deal that would come into effect in 2021.
The only issue is that Fury needs to fight Wilder for the third time and he is also scheduled to battle Dillian Whyte. Regardless, the consensus is that Fury will be able to get those jobs done, which will set up his unified fight with Joshua.
This fight will certainly be a treat for boxing fans as it is something they have been waiting for, for a long time. Many believed it would be Wilder who would defeat Fury and face Joshua but, of course, things just didn't work out that way. Either way, this is a huge development for the boxing world and can only mean good things moving forward for the heavyweight division.

Adrien Broner Arrested In Miami Beach For DUI
Adrien Broner got tied up into trouble after Miami Beach officers pulled him over and took him into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Boxing champion Adrien Broner has once again found himself on the wrong side of the law. Last month, Broner was detained by officers outside of the Deontay Wilder & Tyson Fury weigh-in at the MGM Grand Gardens. TMZ reported that Broner was warned that he wasn’t allowed on the property and told to leave, but he allegedly refused.

On Friday (March 13), Broner was reportedly arrested once again in Miami Beach on a DUI charge. TMZ states that it was approximately 8:45 p.m. when police pulled Broner over. According to the officers on the scene, it was clear that the boxer was under the influence so they took him into custody. Broner has been placed on an eight-hour hold and will remain behind bars until his release time of 4:00 a.m. Saturday (March 14) morning. His bail has been set at $1,000.
In addition to these two recent arrests, the 30-year-old professional fighter was also arrested on battery charges back in April 2019. A month prior to that, Broner was cuffed after yelling at police officers in Miami. In December 2018, he was sued by a jeweler for allegedly not paying a $1 million debt, and he was arrested two days before Christmas in 2018 for failing to appear in court after being arrested in 2017 for driving without a license, registration, or insurance.
Floyd Mayweather To Deontay Wilder: ‘I’ll Teach You How To Win’
Floyd Mayweather thinks he can lead Deontay Wilder to victory over Tyson Fury in their rematch this summer.
Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury are officially scheduled to face off for the third time in July, as Wilder wasted little time announcing that he intends to exercise the rematch clause in his contract. As it stands, Wilder-Fury III will take place on July 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, which means Wilder has roughly four months to devise a training program to dethrone the Gypsy King.
One man who thinks he can help the Bronze Bomber make the necessary changes is none other than undefeated boxing legend Floyd “Money” Mayweather.

During an event in Manchester, England this past weekend, Mayweather was asked, “Do you think Wilder will win in a rematch with Fury?” His response, “If I train him! If I train him, I can teach him how to win!”
Floyd had also posted the following message of support for Wilder following Fury’s impressive seventh-round win, “Win, Lose or Draw … Deontay is our brother that has accomplished many triumphs and as a community we should all uplift and support him throughout it all.”
Whether Wilder takes Mayweather up on that offer remains to be seen, but it’s clear he needs to tweak his game if he wants to win his title back on July 18th. Deontay Wilder Exercises Rematch Clause Against Tyson Fury

Just six days after losing to Fury in dramatic fashion, Wilder has exercised his rematch clause. Top Rank president Todd duBoef confirmed the news to Yahoo Sports.
No date has been set, bu duBoef says it will take place during the summer.
Wilder’s trainer Mark Breland, who threw in the towel during the seventh round of last weekend’s match, will remain on the fighter’s team.”I understand that my corner and my team has my best interest at heart. Mark Breland is still a part of team Wilder and our team looks forward to preparing for the rematch,” Wilder said in a statement.
Wilder believes that his entrance costume played a major factor in his loss.
“I paid a severe price because my legs were how they were because of my uniform,” Wilder told ESPN, according to Complex. “My uniform was way too heavy. It was 40-plus pounds. We had it on 10 or 15 minutes before we even walked out and then put the helmet on. That was extra weight, then the ring walk, then going up the stairs. It was like a real workout for my legs. When I took it off, I knew immediately that the game had changed.”
Deontay Wilder Already Working On Costume For Tyson Fury Rematch
Deontay Wilder is already back at work for his supposed rematch against WBC Champion Tyson Fury.
Deontay Wilder experienced a crushing defeat at the hands of Tyson Fury last weekend. Wilder was looking to defend his WBC championship although he got TKO’d in just seven rounds. It was a devastating fight that left Wilder bleeding from his ear. After the match, Wilder had fans scratching their heads as he tried to blame his pre-fight costume on his performance.
“I knew I didn’t have the legs because of my uniform. I was only able to put it on [for the first time] the night before, but I didn’t think it was going to be that heavy,” Wilder said. “It weighed 40, 40-some pounds with the helmet and all the batteries. I wanted my tribute to be great for Black History Month. I wanted it to be good and I guess I put that before anything.”

According to TMZ, Wilder is already working on his next costume which will be worn during his rematch with Fury. In fact, Wilder has decided not to fire the company he was working with previously. Instead, designers Cosmo Lombino and Donato Crowley have already been commissioned to make a brand new suit that won’t be so heavy. Clearly, Wilder wants to make a good impression but doesn’t want to sacrifice his abilities in the ring.
After that last fight, it’s going to take a lot more than a flashy costume to defeat Fury in a rematch.
Joe Rogan Explains How Tyson Fury Was Able To Dominate Wilder
Joe Rogan explains exactly what Tyson Fury learned from the first fight against Deontay Wilder, and how he applied it during the rematch.
Tyson Fury made it look too easy when he handed Deontay Wilder his first loss this past weekend in Las Vegas. Fury beat the brakes off Wilder from the opening bell up until Wilder’s corner threw in the towel in the seventh round, as the Gypsy King emphatically staked his claim as boxing’s heavyweight champion.
It was a completely different fight from their epic 12-round battle in December of 2018, and a true testament to how Fury masterfully adjusted his game over the last 14 months. During a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan shed some light on exactly what Fury learned during their first clash, and how he expertly applied that knowledge in the lead up to, and during, the rematch.

Says Rogan:
“He [Fury] said he figured out in the first fight — in the 12th round, he started backing Deontay up — Deontay can’t fight backing up. Because Deontay is a guy who pushes forward, and he’s got this ridiculous power. Everybody’s scared of his power, so everybody’s moving all the time. Fury realized in the 12th round after Deontay knocked him down, almost knocked him out, he got up and started chasing Deontay, and Deontay fought sloppy. He said he looked awkward. His footwork didn’t look so good.”
In discussing Fury’s typical herky-jerky style of fighting, Rogan noted how Fury had to tweak his game plan, which included a switch to a more knockout-hungry trainer, in order to floor Wilder. Says Rogan, “He realized for this fight he had to fight a different way. To shock Deontay, he had to come at Deontay full blast, get in his face from the jump and that’s exactly what he did.”

Deontay Wilder’s Joe Rogan Interview Contradicts Costume Excuse
Deontay Wilder's old interview with Joe Rogan seems to contradict the excuse for why he lost to Tyson Fury.
Deontay Wilder has made some head-scratching statements in the days since losing his Heavyweight Championship to Tyson Fury, most notably the bizarre excuse for why he got his ass kicked. In case you missed it, Wilder claims that his legs were weakened due to the 45-pound costume (don't forget the helmet and all the batteries!) that he wore on his walk to the ring in honor of Black History Month.
Fight fans were quick to criticize Wilder immediately after he muttered that ridiculous excuse, and it wasn't long before an old interview surfaced that seemed to contradict his costume defense.

During a discussion with Joe Rogan in December 2018, Wilder specifically mentioned that he always trains with extra weight on him. In fact, Wilder told Rogan that he wears a 45-pound vest (same weight as the costume!) in everything he does.
“I wear a 45-pound vest on me as well too in all of my exercising and everything I do to have that extra weight on me," Wilder told Rogan of his training regimen in December 2018.
Whether you buy Wilder's excuse or not, he is going to get another crack at Fury this summer as the two heavyweights come face to face for the third time. A date and venue for Wilder-Fury III has not yet been announced but Wilder has already revealed that he intends to exercise his rematch clause later this year.

Stephen A. Smith Blasts Deontay Wilder For His Bizarre Excuse
Stephen A. Smith had a lot to say about Deontay Wilder’s excuse for losing to Tyson Fury.
Stephen A. Smith was adamant prior to Deontay Wilder’s fight against Tyson Fury that the former would come through with a convincing win. Of course, Smith was proven wrong as Fury completely dismantled Wilder in seven rounds. In fact, the fight could have been stopped a lot sooner although it was clear that Wilder wanted to keep going no matter what. Since the conclusion of the fight, Wilder has been adamant that it was his pre-fight costume that kept him from being successful. Wilder said the costume was 40 pounds and that it made his legs weak.
Yesterday on ESPN’s First Take, Smith spoke out about Wilder’s excuse and effectively put the heavyweight on blast. Smith didn’t necessarily disagree with Wilder’s theory, although he felt as though it was embarrassing and ridiculous for Wilder to make such an excuse public.
You could tell Smith was upset with Wilder who he truly believed in prior to the fight. Wilder’s excuse is fairly laughable regardless of what he was trying to accomplish with the costume. Accusing your pre-fight attire as the reason for your loss simply won’t cut it when millions of dollars are on the line. Even Max Kellerman was surprised by Wilder’s admission and in a rate state of affairs, he ended up agreeing with Smith.
In the future, we’re sure Wilder will be scaling back on his pre-fight suits. His legs will surely be thanking him.
Tyson Fury Challenged To WWE Intercontinental Title Match
WWE's Intercontinental Champion Braun Strowman looking to put his title on the line against boxing champ Tyson Fury.
Deontay Wilder isn't the only man looking for a rematch against boxing's Heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury.
Immediately following Fury's dominant, seventh round victory over Wilder on Saturday, WWE Intercontinental champion Braun Strowman took to twitter to offer his congratulations and issue a challenge for his IC title.
Fury and Strowman first got into it during SmackDown Live's premiere episode on FOX in early October which led to an official match later that month at the "Crown Jewel" event in Saudi Arabia. Fury "knocked out" Strowman for a count out victory during that bout, but that surely won't be the last time we see Fury in a WWE ring.
Prior to Fury-Wilder II, reports surfaced that WWE was planning to include Fury on the Wrestlemania 36 card if he were victorious. With that box officially checked off, and Strowman quickly laying the groundwork for their rematch, it shouldn't surprise anyone if The Gypsy King at least makes an appearance at Raymond James Stadium on April 5th.
Strowman has been feuding with former IC champion Shinsuke Nakamura and his posse as of late, which seems to suggest that they'll have a big payoff at Wrestlemania. However, if Vince McMahon and the WWE have an opportunity to pit The Monster Among Men against boxing's Heavyweight champion at their biggest show of the year, you know they'll do everything in their power to cash in on the momentum.

Deontay Wilder Offers Laughable Excuse: Boxing Fans React
Deontay Wilder to exercise his rematch clause against Champion Tyson Fury, after claiming that his pre-fight costume wore him down.
Deontay Wilder was thoroughly outclassed during the highly anticipated rematch with Tyson Fury this past weekend, but he is already eyeing a trilogy fight this summer. Wilder and Fury had a rematch clause built in to their contract so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Wilder is prepared to give it another go, but the excuse for why he lost in such devastating fashion is absolutely laughable.
According to The Athletic's Lance Pugmire, Wilder claims that his legs were weakened due to the 45-pound costume (don't forget the helmet and all the batteries!) that he wore on his walk to the ring in honor of Black History Month.

Both Wilder and Fury had extravagant ring entrances on Saturday night, although Fury elected to be carried on a throne flanked by models while Wilder donned that outrageous ensemble seen above. After his corner through in the towel during the 7th round, Wilder hinted that something wasn't right with his legs but nobody could have predicted that he'd actually blame his lackluster performance on A COSTUME!
Says Wilder, according to Yahoo Sports' Kevin Iole:
“He didn’t hurt me at all, but the simple fact is ... that my uniform was way too heavy for me. I didn’t have no legs from the beginning of the fight. In the third round, my legs were just shot all the way through. But I’m a warrior and people know that I’m a warrior. It could easily be told that I didn’t have legs or anything. A lot of people were telling me, ‘It looked like something was wrong with you.’ Something was, but when you’re in the ring, you have to bluff a lot of things. I tried my best to do so. I knew I didn’t have the legs because of my uniform.
“I was only able to put it on [for the first time] the night before but I didn’t think it was going to be that heavy. It weighed 40, 40-some pounds with the helmet and all the batteries. I wanted my tribute to be great for Black History Month. I wanted it to be good and I guess I put that before anything.”
