Charlamagne Tha God is one of the most respected voices on hip-hop culture, chiming in on the hottest topics on a daily basis with DJ Envy and Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club. His skills as an interviewer are unmatched but sometimes, it’s nice to get him behind the hot desk to answer some questions of his own. Kicking off 2020 with a new episode of Where’s Wallo, Wallo 267 had the radio host on his show to answer some heated inquiries about the current state of rap, who is going to have the next twelve months on lock, and who he could do without. When it came down to naming two people he would kick out of hip-hop (if he had that authority), only one name came to mind: Post Malone.

“Post Malone definitely, and for no other reason other than I’m just probably hating,” said Charla, continuing his string of hatred toward Posty’s music and brand. “I don’t really dig his music like that. I think he’s a fake Future and Future gets so much flack for being Future but then you got a guy out there pretending to be Future, and that’s Post Malone.”

After giving the topic a lot of thought, Charlamagne couldn’t come up with a second name, even somewhat turning back on his original pick. “There’s nobody that I really hate in rap right now,” he said. “There’s nobody that I absolutely despise, I don’t even despise Post Malone like that. Just at the top of my mind, you ask me who I would get up out of [the rap game] and he would definitely be one.”

Houston rapper Megan Thee Stallion can twerk with the best of them. Before she came along, we may have crowned somebody else as one of the premier booty-shakers in the game but Hot Girl Meg revolutionized the popular style of dance, going for longer, harder and in more innovative ways than anybody else. Much of the star’s brand is built on her sex appeal and her superior rapping ability, combining both strengths to make her somewhat of an anomaly in the game. She joins Cardi B and Nicki Minaj as the leaders in female rap today and, with her strong knees keeping her afoot, Meg continues peddling forward. As we wait for new music, she’s been dropping off videos of herself busting a move, either recording fresh takes or re-using footage from her existing live-streams. The latter was in effect as she popped off with her friend in the background, reminding us all just how badly she can go off when she pleases.

As Rihanna‘s “What’s My Name” played in the background, Megan Thee Stallion buckled up and bounced her booty next to her friend. You just knew things were about to get serious when she laid down the cane that she was using to keep her balance on the counter, going hands-free and flexing her twerking prowess even though the video was just meant as a playful upload.

During the Revenge of the Dreamers 3 sessions in Atlanta, the Dreamville team worked non-stop on creating some of the best music of the year. They achieved that, being nominated for a Grammy Award at the upcoming ceremony but that’s just for the tracks we have already heard. Although the album has been out for nearly a year, there are so many left-overs that we have yet to hear, including the previously-previewed “Twelve” by Ari Lennox and Omen. After letting the song marinate, working on finishing touches and ensuring that it sounds as good as it possibly can, it would appear as though Ari Lennox is finally ready to drop the ROTD3 hold-over, teasing it on social media with a sexy new video.

“Tonight BUSSIT,” wrote the Dreamville songstress, hinting that the new record could actually hit streaming services in a few hours. Originally, the track featured Omen but it’s very possible that things were changed around in the time since it was recorded. In the video, Lennox shares a snippet of her own section, sensually feeling herself and showing off her thighs, which many are claiming to be the best in the game. With the constant scrutiny that the singer faces online, it’s about time she comes through with some new music to remind everyone why she’s so necessary in music today.

After this, we wouldn’t be too surprised if a third iteration of Surviving R. Kelly debuted at the top of next year. Thus far, Lifetime has aired two versions of the docu-series. The first part was an introduction to all of the abuse that R. Kelly’s alleged victims have lived through for decades. It set off the media take-down of the disgraced singer, who is now awaiting trial in several states for his sexual crimes against underage girls. The second season, which aired just a few days ago, focuses on the direct aftermath. Perhaps the head honchos at Lifetime will be able to strike a deal with Azriel Clary, one of R. Kelly’s former live-in girlfriends to tell her story after she got into a physical fight with Joycelyn Savage, Kelly’s other girl.

Last week, it was reported that the two women had gotten into a fistfight at R. Kelly’s condo in Chicago and it was all captured on Azriel Clary’s live-stream. A clear clip of the actual altercation was absent from the footage though and, now, a video showing Savage and Clary getting into it has been uploaded to the internet. 

Published by TMZ, both women can be seen punching each other, clawing and fighting through security as they were being held back. Insults are hurled and accusations of statutory rape go around. As many of you know, Joycelyn Savage was arrested shortly after the fight, turning herself in for domestic battery.

The 20-year-old superstar rapper sold more records than Juice WRLD, The Beatles, and a number of other musical acts last year, earning a spot in the Top Ten of 2019's best-selling artists. He's setting himself up for more of the same success in the new decade, teasing fresh music on his social media pages and hopefully, keeping his head screwed on correctly and staying out of trouble. After reconciling with his ex-girlfriend Iyanna Mayweather a few weeks ago, NBA YoungBoy was pictured in a studio video shared by the legendary boxer's daughter but fans are very worried and unsure of why Yaya would even share the footage.

Supporters of the Baton Rouge youngin are perplexed as to why Floyd Mayweather's daughter would post a video of her boyfriend, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, talking to walls in the studio. Perhaps this was his coping mechanism for when he was locked up behind bars or, maybe, he's got some underlying mental issues that prompt him to engage in legitimate conversations with non-existent beings. There's also a possibility that YB was under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the clip. Whatever the reason is, people are asking why YoungBoy is out here speaking to the walls. 

Hopefully, NBA YoungBoy is able to work through whatever he's dealing with.

A video that went viral over the weekend appeared to show Kanye West riding a horse in the middle of his Sunday Service ceremony. After struggling to gain control of the animal, the man atop toppled over and completely wiped out, likely suffering some minor injuries as a result of the hard fall. People began to spread the news like wildfire, peddling headlines like such: "Kanye West Falls Off Horse In The Middle Of Sunday Service." However, there was no such incident. Yeezy wasn't actually the man on top of the beast, leading Kim Kardashian to dispell those rumors and tell the true story. She got to the root of the issue after 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg had done their part in spreading the false narrative though.

Reposting a video that claims Kanye West is the man in the clip, both social media trolls entered the chat with their own versions of what happened. 50 Cent shared the video with the following caption, trying to understand why exactly a horse was in church in the first place: "Wait I don’t understand, why was he on the horse." On the other side of the spectrum, Snoop Dogg seemed to be fully aware that Ye was not actually pictured, saying: "Who is that n***a on dat nare."

Kim Kardashian took control of the fake news by urging the media to fact-check their stories before hitting the "publish" button. "This is not Kanye and this is not the Sunday Service Choir," said Kim before sharing a flurry of legitimate moments from Sunday Service this week. How funny would it have been if this actually was Kanye?
