As fans eagerly await the arrival of Playboi Carti's forthcoming project, Whole Lotta Red, one song in particular that fans have been begging to be officially released in "Pain 1993" with Drake. Though versions of the song have leaked and been previewed over the months, the song will actually find its way on Whole Lotta Red, it seems.
Ian Connor has been steadily teasing the release of Whole Lotta Red and recently, he shared an update of sorts regarding "Pain 1993." Taking to Twitter, he shared a screenshot of a text message sent from Drake that simply reads, "So Proud 1993 Pain came to life." Tweeting out "Jöy." with the screenshot, it looks like Ian Connor is making a strong indication that the song will be out sooner than anyone thinks.
Despite being a controversial figure in the realm of fashion and culture, Ian Connor has been keeping everyone up to date on this collaboration over the past few weeks. Though there's no confirmation, it seems like Ian Connor might have a hand in whatever visual accompanies the song, if there is one. About two weeks ago, Ian Connor took to the 'Gram to share a video that included snippets of Drake's collaboration with Fivio Foreign and Sosa Geek as well as "Pain 1993." Peep Ian Connor's tweet below and stay tuned for more information on a possible release date for Pain 1993.
Playboi Carti’s "Whole Lotta Red" Rumored Runtime Revealed
In a desperate search for answers, Playboi Carti’s fans have begun putting together the puzzle that is “Whole Lotta Red.”
The whims of Playboi Carti are not meant to be understood by mere laypeople, who have attempted to make sense of his antics and indecipherable linguistics for years. And while such practices require an archeological degree of patience, the reward is in the journey itself. Unfortunately, Carti fans have yet to receive an endpoint, with Whole Lotta Red remaining shrouded in a veil of mystery.

Today, however, a new tidbit has arisen courtesy of XXL. Apparently, an Instagram live video from a page reported to be that of Carti’s hairstylist Rhonnie Lee revealed the album’s runtime to be eighteen songs, falling just short of its predecessor Die Lit’s nineteen.
Lee also claims that the “@ Meh” single cover was never meant to double as the album’s cover, explaining that “we didn’t shoot the album cover. I thought that the one cover that he just released the other day with him, the black background and him in all back and shit that’s just the single. We haven’t shot his official album cover with like, all 18 songs on it yet. That’s what he was calling me about the other day.”
Though the video has since been deleted, it certainly suggests that Whole Lotta Red is indeed in a completed state, though that is quite possibly subject to change. After all, the ongoing pandemic has already wreaked havoc on release schedules, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Carti hoard his next endeavor until a more profitable period — in any case, the quest for answers continues.
Lil Uzi Vert & Playboi Carti Patch Things Up With Twitter Love Notes
Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti appear to be friends again following their recent beef.
Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti seemed like the best of friends just a few years ago. They had songs together and there were even reports that they were teaming up for a collab album. Over the past couple of weeks, however, the two have been at odds, with Uzi throwing a ton of shade at Carti on Twitter. In fact, when Carti announced the release date for his album that never came, Uzi claimed he would release a new song on that same day as a slight.
Last night, Uzi released his new song "Sasuke" to the world, and fans immediately began to look for subliminal shots. After Uzi claimed he wasn't dissing Carti on the song, the "@ MEH" rapper took to Twitter where he showed love to Uzi saying "i love u twin." From there, Uzi reciprocated the love with a message of his own.
For now, it truly seems as though these two have patched things up and will be able to move on from the situation. Fans have theorized that Carti and Uzi were only engaging in this beef as a way to promote each other's work although if that's the case, we will probably never know for sure.
As for Carti's latest project, it still remains up in the air as to when it will be released.
Lil Uzi Vert Still Trolling Playboi Carti, Shares Album Artwork
Lil Uzi Vert just won't let up on Playboi Carti, sharing some new cover artwork that may be for "Whole Lotta Red."
After teasing a new release on Monday, Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vertdid not end up delivering. The day was still filled with madness from both sides though, kicking off the moment Carti signed onto Twitter. Once Uzi got the notification that his former friend and current rival was back online, the fun began.
Playboi Carti sent out a couple of tweets about his upcoming album Whole Lotta Red, which got Uzi out of his hole, talking shit anew.
"Red is MY fav album of mine," wrote Carti. "Did u drop yet ?" replied Uzi with an eye-roll emoji.
Perhaps the most troll-worthy moment of the day came when Lil Uzi Vert actually shared some album artwork, painting the cover of Playboi Carti's "@ MEH" in red and playing it off as though it were the official art for Whole Lotta Red.
The glorified fan artwork probably didn't take too long to find or edit himself in a free software.
This feud -- if we can even call it that -- has been tremendously one-sided thus far. Playboi Carti has not really even acknowledged the fact that Lil Uzi Vert is continually bullying him about the drop. At the end of the day, nobody is quite sure whether this is real or if they're working together to dupe the world.
What do you think?
Does This Mean Playboi Carti Is Actually Dropping "Whole Lotta Red" Today?
Playboi Carti tweets, fans go crazy.
Playboi Carti sure knows how to tease us. The rapper who's developed a rabid, cult-like following recently returned to the fray when he released a visual and new single for the pitched-up lullaby-esque masterpiece "@ MEH," re-igniting excitement for his impending album, Whole Lotta Red.
Fans, and hip-hop artists alike reacted to the single drop, with Uzi joining on the commentary. Uzi, who seems to be playing the role of Carti mascot these days, followed up his response to "@ MEH" with a possible date for more music when he tweeted out the word "Monday." Actually, it was more like: ". MoNDaY," to be precise. Carti followed similarly, leaving us to wonder what would happen on MoNDaY? Well, Monday is now here. So far, nothing out of the ordinary has happened. It is 4/20, which means we've all been smoking, but that's about it.
Still, Monday isn't over yet! Could Whole Lotta Red still drop today? Carti continues to pump his fans up about it, tweeting this afternoon "rEd," which has clearly got fans intrigued. Uzi tweeted similarly, right before Uzi, in Carti's preferred upper-case-lower-case format: "HEy."
What do you think, will today finally be the day that Carti fans receive their magnum opus? Sound off in the comments and stay tuned.
Playboi Carti Sets Release Date & Lil Uzi Vert Matches It
What is going on right now between Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert?
Playboi Carti and Lil Uzi Vert are seemingly going at it right now on Twitter... or are they?
Nobody is quite sure of what's happening between Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti. At the end of last year, Uzi Vert revealed that he is no longer on good terms with the Atlanta rapper before circling back several months later, claiming they were cool. However, he continues to be cryptic about his friendship with the star.
Reacting to Playboi Carti's brand new single with what some are reading as a diss, Lil Uzi Vert couldn't be more unclear about what's happening right now. He previously hinted that he would be releasing his next musical project whenever a mysterious "he" drops and, now that Carti has set a new release date, Uzi is doing the same.
It appears as though Carti was "he" this entire time. Taking to Twitter, the rapper announced that he would be dropping something on Monday, not specifying whether or not a new single or the entire album was arriving.
Lil Uzi Vert responded directly to the tweet, confirming that the artist was dropping before making his own announcement for Monday.
As of right now, this situation is pretty muddy. Are they friends? Bitter enemies? Who the hell even knows. Hopefully, we get some good music out of this though.

Playboi Carti Fans React To New Song "@ MEH"
Is Playboi Carti's new song just "MEH" or is it "VERY HOTTTTT?"
On our website, we have a ranking system that has remained consistent for years. A song/mixtape can be rated from "VERY HOTTTTT" TO "MAKE IT STOP." As of right now, the brand new song from Playboi Carti has a user rating of "MEH" which somehow seems right, considering the song is titled "@ MEH."
Returning from out of nowhere, Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti released his new video for the single "@ MEH." This moment has been a long time coming for the 23-year-old, who has been teasing his upcoming album Whole Lotta Red for the last year.
While it's still very early to tell if the song will stick with us for a matter of hours/days/weeks/months or even years, there is a case to be made for the defense of "@ MEH." However, the people critiquing the record have a point as well.
Fans seem to be drawn right down the middle on the high-energy track. On Twitter, the memes have begun flying, imagining how Carti fans are taking in his baby-voiced masterpiece while, on other boards, people are shitting all over the new release.
Check out some of the comments below and be sure to let us know what you think. Rate the song over on its designated page here.
Lil Uzi Vert Isn’t Done Turning Up
Lil Uzi Vert just dropped off two projects but as Playboi Carti readies a new project, it appears that the "Eternal Atake" artist isn't quite done dropping yet.
After suggesting that he'd drop, again, whenever Playboi Carti, his former partner in crime, decided to drop new music, it looks like Lil Uzi Vert is keeping his word. We're currently waiting for the word that Carti has new music for the fans this Friday which would mark another exquisite drop in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Carti released a cover art to his Instagram page yesterday that many believe is for Whole Lotta Red. Though Carti's been relatively silent on the matter without confirming if the album is dropping this week, Drake also shared the cover art on his IG Story prompting speculation that their long-awaited collaboration could also be coming this Friday.
However, Uzi appears to want to drop new music for the third time in a matter of weeks. Taking to Twitter, he wrote, "I just made the realest shit of my life."In a following tweet, equipped with Chief Keef doing a reiteration of the iconic Uzi shrug, he wrote, "I ain't done turning up BITCH" along with a CD emoji. "Woke up the demon," he added.
It's unclear if that actually means Uzi will drop will actually release new music or if he's simply building the public's anticipation to feed a sociopathic hunger but we definitely wouldn't mind a new Uzi project this year. We are, after all, going to be stuck in quarantine for a very long time.
Playboi Carti Breaks His Silence
Playboi Carti shared a message on Twitter but it's in Cartinese so nobody really knows what it means.
Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti has been teasing the arrival of his new album Whole Lotta Red for months and, finally, it may be arriving soon.
The superstar is rumored to be rolling out the upcoming body of work, possibly beginning with a single release for "PAIN 1993" with Drake this week. While that much remains unconfirmed, Carti is much more active than usual on social media, which could be a good sign.
The Die Lit rapper is hinting at something coming imminently, sharing some cover artwork this week and returning to Twitter with some very cryptic messages.

"I Kan NOt Beef Ah bit Ya," wrote the 23-year-old in Cartinese, the language he and his fans have adopted. Your guess is as good as mine as to what the hell this means.
"i Kant wait," he then added. Could he be talking about music??? Whole Lotta Red OTW??????
"4vr . Lit," said Playboi Carti to end the short-lived rant on Twitter.
This is all subject to interpretation as Carti doesn't have a great history of being clear and coherent in his messages. His care-free attitude has brought forth cult classics, like the aforementioned Die Lit. With the amount of hype around Whole Lotta Red, you can expect his biggest-ever sales debut whenever he does decide to drop.
Did Drake Just Reveal Playboi Carti’s Secret?
Drake shared a photo of himself playing the new Playboi Carti, leading fans to speculate on the nature of the drop.
Playboi Carti got everybody out of their seats when he mysteriously shared the cover artwork for one of his upcoming releases. Choosing not to specify whether his long-awaited album Whole Lotta Red is arriving imminently, or if this signals a single release, fans were left guessing on the nature of the drop. Things got even more confusing when Drake shared a photo of himself bumping it in the background.
The cover artwork for Playboi Carti's new release was revealed this week and, just hours later, Drake posted a still image of himself promoting the drop on Instagram Stories. One of the major giveaways that has fans speculating that this could actually be the official release of the duo's collaborative "PAIN 1993" is hidden away in the corner though.
Drake isn't actually looking at the photo that Playboi Carti posted on his social media accounts. Eagle-eyed followers of the Toronto native noticed that he is viewing a video on QuickTime Player in his home theater. Maybe this means that, instead of the whole album, Carti will solely release one video single from Whole Lotta Red. Since Drake has it in advance, that could mean that the long-awaited collaboration between the baby-voiced rapper and the 6ix God is arriving soon.
What do you think? Are you also convinced that "PAIN 1993" is on the way?
