She may not be addressing rumors that she recently gave birth, but Iggy Azalea has taken to social media to defend her artistry. For months, Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti have been entangled in rumors that they were expecting their first child together. Recently, gossip blogs have shared that they have sources who have confirmed that the two rappers have welcomed their child, but neither Playboi Carti or Iggy have come forward to share any news about their personal lives.

However, Iggy did pull a post-and-delete move on Twitter after a user posed a hypothetical question to the public. "A gun is pointed to your head the female rapper that has your zodiac sign has to do a freestyle to save you are you dead or alive?" the fan account wrote in a caption of a photo. The picture showed four women in rap: Iggy Azalea, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B. Iggy decided to weigh in and The Neighborhood Talk shared a screenshot of her response.
"I can't freestyle and that's fine, but I can write the f*ck outta a song & half the girls can't do that either," Iggy stated. Who she was referring to remains a mystery, but you can check out her tweet below.
Boosie Badazz Confesses Love For Eve, Names Top Hottest Women In Rap
Boosie Badazz had a difficult time coming up with his list for the top five hottest women in rap but he was quick to declare his love for Eve.
If you want to see Boosie Badazz befuddled, ask him about beautiful women. The controversial rapper has been catching heat lately over comments he made about his children, but he seems to have brushed that aside for the time being. He caught up with VladTV and was asked to name his top five hottest, as in looks, women in rap. Somewhere things were lost in translation because he listed off his favorite female emcees according to their talents.
“Lil Kim, originator. Number one through the nineties,” he began. “It’s Lil Kim, Trina, Cardi B, Nicki [Minaj]. That’s four. Lil Kim, Trina, Cardi B, Nicki what I done seen. What other female rapper?” Vlad reiterates that this list is about looks, not lyrical skills, and Boosie switches things up. After that revelation, Boosie was able to answer a bit more quickly. “Eve! Eve. I’ve been in love with Eve forever,” he said. Boosie added that Nicki Minaj was on the list because so many other women wanted to be her, and Cardi was also added because Cardi had a thuggish side. “It’s a difference between the bad b*tch in Cardi and the bad b*tch in Nicki.” He then takes a long pause.
“Trina, you gotta go with the baddest b*tch,” the rapper said before revealing his last choice. “I’m going with Mulatto… You gotta go with that yellow… Yeah. Go with the fresh.” Vlad said agreed with most of Boosie’s list, but he’d add Megan Thee Stallion because she’s natural. Check out the discussion below.
Remy Ma Discusses "Female Rappers Not [Being Taken] Seriously" In Hip Hop
Remy Ma talked about women in rap and how some are better at their “pen game” but not as successful as others because of the business side of the industry.
Discussing the power of the pen in hip hop can turn into a great debate. Throughout hip hop history there have been artists who have impressed fans with their lyricism, but there are others who know how to become hitmakers without necessarily relying on lyrical abilities. The hosts of State of the Culture have continued to meet together through video chat, and recently they spoke about the differences between being a rapper with a great pen game and a rapper who navigates the industry as a business to top the charts.

During the chat, Remy Ma threw her name into the mix. “The same way with me. I could be the…most of these females can’t mess with me,” she said. “But when it comes to the business across the scale, there’s certain things that I’m not going to do to make sure that I get there. I’m just not doing that. And there’s just certain things that are not going to get me there, just because I’m me.” She added that just because others may seem more successful than her doesn’t mean that they’re better lyrically; they’re just better at moving and shaking in the business side of things.
Elsewhere, Remy Ma discussed “female rappers not [being taken] seriously.” She added that there are a handful of women in rap whose “pen really moves and if they wanted to, they could stand toe-to-toe with the guys.” When asked what women she was referring to, Remy proceeded with caution and said that you have to be careful about complimenting other femcees in the game. Remy Ma did add that it doesn’t matter what she thinks of someone personally; if they have skills, she’ll keep it real and say that. Check out State of the Culture below and let us know what women in the rap game have the best pens.
