Chika has been at the majority of Los Angeles protests following the murder of George Floyd, using her platform to promote change and seek justice for the countless people of color killed by police violence and racism. She has not been shy about calling out others, either for their lack of action at this time or for misusing their platforms. This week, she came for YG after being part of the protest.
"YG said he here to shoot a video," tweeted rapper Chika from the crowd. "I would like to go home. this feels incredibly disingenuous. but im glad people showed up. shooting a music video while breonna taylor’s killers are still walking the streets is fucking disgusting."
The Hollywood protest has been celebrated as one of the largest yet in Los Angeles. However, Chika is criticizing people for coming solely because they saw YG's name on the flyer.
"You don’t say on a flyer, ‘This is a vigil, bring flowers, bring candles…’ You don’t use this moment to shoot a music video," she said in a video uploaded to Instagram. "Everything that we’ve been doing march-wise has working because of the way that we showed up. The way that we know what we are fighting for, the way that we are informed. This today was not that. If you saw YG’s name on a poster and you showed up because you saw YG’s name on a poster, you’re fucked because the lives lost was not enough to do that for you."
Do you think YG is wrong for filming a video at the protest?
YG & BLM Organize Massive Hollywood Protest With Over 50K People
YG filmed some stunning visuals for his new song “FTP (F*ck The Police)” at his protest in Los Angeles.
YG and Black Lives Matter organized the largest protest thus far in Los Angeles this weekend, drawing over 50,000 people on the corner of Hollywood and Highland.
Demonstrators gathered at the popular block at 4 PM on June 7, bringing signs and peacefully marching down the street to send a message. The event, which was organized by YG, Black Lives Matter-L.A., and Build Power. The gathering was much larger than the one last week in Downtown Los Angeles, and you can clearly see that the action went on for blocks in YG’s video.
“For anyone out there talking I don’t question your advocacy and don’t think you should question mine. See you gotta understand that a lot of people out there they see me as a N***a. They don’t see the black proud man. They see a kid from Bompton and they expect violence. They hear FTP and they think I’m gonna come and burn my city. So we showed up and did it right,” wrote YG after the protest, sharing a powerful drone video of the crowd singing his new song.
“We proved them wrong. The real story here is me and Black Lives Matter brought out 50,000 people today to peacefully protest and unite for change. I wanted to document that so when they hear this song and think we are reckless and violent they see a peaceful protest of all different people coming together for a common cause. That is history. That is breaking down these stereotypes on our people and our neighborhoods.”

YG Forced To Cancel Protest, Releases "FTP"
YG releases a new song after he was told that his protest could become unsafe.
YG‘s plans to hold a protest in wake of the recent killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery have been put on hold. The rapper took to Instagram to announce that he was told that the protest could be unsafe and can possibly result in people getting hurt or shot.
“So I got bad news I was told today that my protest is not safe and that people could get hurt or shot,” YG said. He previously announced plans to hold a demonstration at Hollywood & Vine in Los Angeles. “I’m not trying to get none of my people hurt or shot so I’mma cancel the date. It’s fucked up but I’m gonna come back bigger and better. I’m partnering with Black Lives Matter and we gonna do this shit the right way. For the people, for the city, and for all the artists that wanna pop out and participate.”
Though his protest was pushed back to a later date, he did go against the label’s wishes to release another protest song titled, “FTP.” Carrying the traditions of Compton natives NWA, his latest song revitalizes the term “Fuck The Police.”
“‘Fuck The Police’ is out right now. It’s in my bio. I couldn’t wait for the label,” he said. “I’ll see y’all outside.”
Check out YG’s new song “FTP” below.
YG Announces New Song "F*ck The Police"
YG is releasing a new song this week after the death of George Floyd.
One of Compton rapper YG‘s most popular songs to date guises itself as a social activism anthem. “FDT” is an anti-Trump record, performed by YG and Nipsey Hussle, and it has become significantly resonant to the rapper’s brand. After everything that he has witnessed in recent weeks, it looks like the sequel is on the way. However, YG is aiming his lyrical weapons at a force more widespread than Donald Trump.
“#FUCKTHEPOLICE this week,” wrote YG on social media, posting a copy of his cover art, which is very understated. The artwork has the three letters “FTP” and a parental advisory sticker.
The announcement has already been co-signed by the likes of Tyga and Ohgeesy from Shoreline Mafia.

Although YG did not specify the date of the release, it’s likely that it will be out at the end of this week. If he doesn’t care about charting figures, he may go for a release earlier in the week for larger impact.
He’s not alone in releasing music to combat all that has arisen this week with protests and riots breaking out across the nation. Conway The Machine, Denzel Curry, Ty Dolla $ign and more have all recorded songs about the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Beef Post-Prison: A Complete List
Tekashi 6ix9ine is back and he's trolling the pants off of everybody, sending shots at Rich The Kid, Meek Mill, YG, 50 Cent, and more.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is back in the rap game and there's no way around it. You may not like him and you may not respect him but you've got to accept that he has returned.
After spending a year behind bars, the world-famous snitch was released into home confinement due to his COVID-19 concerns. He may have promised the judge that he would no longer be antagonizing his fellow rappers but he hasn't kept his word, going balls-to-the-wall with a handful of rivals.
In the short time since 6ix9ine's prison release, he has fired virtual shots at Meek Mill, Rich The Kid, 50 Cent, YG, Future, and more. If his goal was to win his peers over, things definitely did not work out in his favor.
If you've been having trouble keeping up-to-date on who is currently on the 24-year-old's hit list, we decided to help you out by putting together a comprehensive list of everyone that has drawn the ire of Mr. Rainbow in the short amount of time since his jail release.
50 Cent
Tekashi 6ix9ine and 50 Cent used to share a father-son type of bond. In fact, the legendary hip-hop figure even admitted to teaching the rapper how to hide his money. Shortly after Tekashi was released from prison though, 50 Cent was asked if he planned on ever working with the self-proclaimed King of New York again.
"I wouldn’t work with him. What it is, is it’s just against the way I grew up," said Fif in an interview with Big Boy.
Hearing these remarks, 6ix9ine was pissed and brought personal issues into their back-and-forth.
"Won't be the first time 50 abandons his son....... lemme just mind my business," he replied.
Of course, Tek is referring to Jackson's estranged son Marquise Jackson. Their feud didn't really make it past this point but we wouldn't be surprised to hear more about this in the future.
Meek Mill
Meek Mill and Tekashi 6ix9ine have never been friends. They hold entirely different values. Meek Mill would never break the street code. He's also dealt with his fair share of legal issues but never once has he even thought about snitching. 6ix9ine, on the other hand, told on his homies the first day he was in custody.
When Tekashi announced his return single and his first post-prison Instagram Live stream, Meek Mill got back on offense and urged the man to apologize to anybody he put in danger with his actions.
"I hope that rat going live to apologize to the people he told on or the victim," he wrote, refusing to use 6ix9ine's name. "Left his baby mom and child like a coward as targets."
6ix9ine clapped back at the Philadelphia rapper by telling him to focus on his newborn son instead of him, which led Meek to activate his Twitter fingers.
"Now you just a informant behind a keyboard tryna troll families you ruined so it’s not gone hit the same... and by the way I’m doing this for my 'sons' so you won’t be around to impact their lives ever," he said. "And that new song trashhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! We heard that bullshit lol."
After the song dropped (and broke records), Meek Mill took more of a backseat but that didn't stop Tekashi from trolling.
"Imagine being this pressed, Nicki [Minaj] don't want you no more," said 69, hitting a soft spot.
Finally, Meek got the final word (for now) when he exposed the reality of the situation.
"The internet got a witness in witness protection living in a town house that can't even come outside saying check on me," laughed Meek. "I'm helping free people you putting family members behind bars... I gotta crush you for the culture you chump! How you sleep at night lol."
Rich The Kid
Tekashi 6ix9ine made it his mission to belittle every other existing New York rapper after getting out of jail. Claiming to have more money, jewelry, cars, and influence than a slew of other Big Apple stars, Rich The Kid was one of the first to get the strap from 6ix9ine.
It was reported that Rich failed to pay a jewelry bill of over $200,000, which got 6ix9ine laughing. Simply commenting an ellipsis on a post about the unpaid diamonds, 69 lured RTK into his most heated beef.
"We can play if u want ... I got the time & you sure as hell ain't got more money than me or Jewelry or CARS," said Rich in response.
The Atlanta--New York rapper continued to exchange words with Tekashi before the rainbow-haired scoundrel donated a since-declined $200K sum to the No Kid Hungry Foundation. He claimed his next charitable move would be covering RTK's jewelry bill.
"Lets donate to rich the kid jewelry dept next," he said.
Rich struck back by claiming that Tekashi overpays for all of his chains, calling out his jeweler for marking up his prices. That's when 6ix9ine decided to troll Rich even further, bringing back one of his fiercest rivals.
"@liluzivert I know I ratted but do me one favor," he wrote, reminding us all of the time Lil Uzi Vert backed Rich The Kid into a Starbucks.
Their feud got oddly personal when Rich went to film a music video with Lil Tjay, picking up 6ix9ine's baby mama in his Lamborghini along the way. Tekashi didn't seem too bothered though, joking that Rich just "rented" the car and his girl for a couple of hours. One man was big bothered about it all though.
Future
When Tekashi 6ix9ine's alleged second baby mama stepped in and claimed that the rapper promised to financially support her and her child when he was still locked up, he responded by asking Future for advice.
"@future what should I do?" asked 6ix9ine. Since Future had just been confirmed as the father of his eighth baby, Tekashi probably thought he was a good person to ask.
It took a few days for Fewtch to actually comment but, after Sara Molina was snatched up by Rich The Kid, he got active on Twitter.
"Dey using n***as baby momma as props now," joked the Atlanta veteran before using his famous tagline. "She belong to the streets."
Sara Molina responded directly to Future's insults by saying that he's truly the one that belongs to the streets since he has so many baby mamas. A full-blown war broke out after that.
"Ain mad at u...u gotta get it how u live #TREWAY free da guys," he wrote in a heated rant. "Obviously, ain mad at u definitely went over sum of u guys pathetic brains...Obviously,ain mad at u definitely went over sum of u guys pathetic brains... I feel disrespected. OMERTÀ."
Molina's most recent clap-back happened when she sent a message to Ciara, telling the pop star that the smartest thing she's ever done was getting away from Future, her baby daddy.
We wouldn't be shocked to see this go further in the coming days.
YG
One of Tekashi 6ix9ine's biggest rivals of all time, YG managed to get his feet wet with a quick shot at the rainbow-haired rapper. Celebrating Mother's Day with his baby moms, a fan commented that they thought 6ix9ine was in the picture for a second. That angered the Blood-affiliated spitter.
"Don't get slapped my n***a," responded YG before 6ix9ine stepped in the ring.
"Nicki is number 1 nobody cares about this," responded the star, belittling YG and praising his former collaborator Nicki Minaj on her recent chart success with Doja Cat.
Chet Hanks
Last but not least, everybody's favorite celebrity son Chet Hanks got involved in this madness. Speaking on Tekashi 6ix9ine's reasoning as to why he snitched, Tom Hanks' kid said the following:
"Don't be fooled by social media. That dude is SCARED SHITLESS but has no choice but to laugh and make light of it cuz he knows he's a marked man for the rest of his life either way. He literally told you on the stand that 'the gangster image was just a persona to boost my career' only to get out talking about upping 100 shots at the chicken spot? And y'all still going for it. People see a bunch of jewelry and diamond teeth and numbers on Istagram and actually believe dude is really happy as fuck living the life... All I see is FEAR."
If you thought 6ix9ine wouldn't respond to this, you clearly don't know what kind of menace we're dealing with. He brought the man's father and coronavirus into it, wishing Tom Hanks a speedy recovery from COVID-19, even though he's already better.
"Wishing his dad a speedy recovery," he said."
Let us know who you think will be his next target in the comments!
Tekashi 6ix9ine Shades YG & Praises Nicki Minaj
Tekashi 6ix9ine is back on his trolling tip, coming after YG after a fan says his baby mama looks like the rainbow-haired rapper.
Tekashi 6ix9ine is finding creative ways to troll all of his rivals. In the past, he was more open with them, sending threats and taunting other artists in interviews. After his short prison stint, he’s more calculated in his social media antics, commenting on other’s people’s posts and subtly trolling his opps.
So far, he has come after Meek Mill, Rich The Kid, 50 Cent, and others. Now, it looks like he’s aiming more shots at YG.
Perhaps his most vicious rival of the last few years, Tekashi 6ix9ine isn’t finished with YG, it seems. On a picture of the rapper and his baby mama, one of YG’s fans commented that he thought it was 6ix9ine in the bed with him. He didn’t take kindly to that remark.
“Don’t get slapped my n***a,” wrote YG. The comment was made on a Mother’s Day celebration post.
When it was reposted on The Shade Room, Tekashi decided to activate his trolling skills to infuriate the Bompton star.
“Nicki is number 1 nobody cares about this,” said 6ix9ine in the comments, completely disregarding his rival and praising his former collaborator Nicki Minaj on getting her first #1 record with Doja Cat.
Do you think 6ix9ine should quiet down? This seems like it could severely bite him in the ass.
Kehlani Explains Open Relationship With YG, Didn’t Care About His Kissing Scandal
Kehlani told "The Breakfast Club" that she and YG were in an open relationship and said the scandal with him kissing a girl outside of a club wasn't a big deal.
She's said that she and YG don't have any ill-will toward one another and have moved on from their romance, but Kehlani also shocked fans when she discussed their open relationship arrangement. Today (May 8), Kehlani shared her It Was Good Until It Wasn't project that quickly became a fan favorite, and to help promote the record, she sat down for a social distancing interview with The Breakfast Club. There were plenty of topics covered during the conversation, but her revelation about having an open relationship with YG became a highlight of the chat.
Kehlani said that she and YG went through what an "open relationship" meant to them, so when he was captured allegedly kissing a woman outside of a nightclub, she wasn't upset about it. She decided not to come forward to explain anything to the public because she didn't want to deal with the opinions of others. "It wasn't a rule-breaking situation," she said.
"I'm lowkey saying sh*t can go down, as long as everything is communicated because everyone's adults," she told The Breakfast Club hosts. "I know how this life is." Kehlani added that she doesn't "trip off most things in general" and "certain things [she] really, genuinely [doesn't] care about." However, she found out some other things that were communicated to her. "It was a lot of lies and a lot of covering up... It was deep and it was like, intricate. It wasn't a simple, I found out the basics of something. It was deep and it was intricate and it was weaving of something that turned into something else."
Charlamagne Tha God wanted to know exactly what an "open relationship" meant. "I think it's whatever boundaries that you guys set with each other," she answered. Kehlani added that no one open relationship looks like another, and couples have to decide if dating, kissing, having sex with, or having another relationship with someone else is acceptable or not.
Kehlani did admit that YG had some reservations about her seeing other people, whether it was a man or a woman. She added that she wasn't really interested in anyone else but YG at the time, anyway. Watch the clip below.

Kehlani No Longer Speaks To YG After Cheating Scandal
Kehlani called into The Breakfast Club where she revealed the reason why she and YG broke up.
For a few months, Kehlani and YG looked as though they were wildly in love. They would walk the red carpet together, looking at each other with butterflies in their stomachs and stars in their eyes. It looked like they were perfect for one another. The two California natives unfortunately ended up breaking up and, with the singer’s new album out now, the cheating scandal that led to their break-up is back on everybody’s tongue.
This morning, Kehlani was a (virtual) guest on The Breakfast Club where she spoke about what went wrong in their relationship, also revealing that she and YG no longer speak.
Dia Dipasupil/Getty ImagesUncomfortably confirming that YG cheated on her by claiming she saw “deep” text messages on his phone, Kehlani explained that she refused to get back together with the rapper despite his attempts to reconcile because of the boundaries she set early in their relationship.
DJ Envy asked if they still speak, to which Kehlani replied in the negative.
“Uh, not really. The last conversation we had was the decision to be like, we do exist in the same industry and I don’t wanna have to walk in the room and someone awkwardly be like ‘you know, your ex is in here,’ then we both have weird energy with each other,” she said. “We’re not on any type of bad terms. I wish him the best, he wishes me the best. It’s nothing but love.”
It’s nice to hear that they aren’t on bad terms, but it’s still unfortunate to reflect on how things went awry. Get all the YG talk at the 19:41 point.
Kehlani Fans Convinced New Album Is About Her Ex YG
Kehlani just dropped her new album, "It Was Good Until It Wasn't," on Friday, and fans are positive that her recent split with YG inspired the music.
Kehlani delivered her new album, It Was Good Until It Wasn't, at midnight on Friday (May 8th), and it's safe to say that the songstress really bares her soul on this new batch of music. After initially delaying the new project as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Kehlani realized that her fans really needed some new tunes from her, so she said f*ck it, and decided to drop it anyway. After dropping a string of singles off the album, the singer announced late last month that IWGUIW would be arriving May 8th, and now that the day is finally here, fans are speculating that the unlucky muse for the deeply personal body of work is her ex-boyfriend, YG.
Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images
Kehlani and YG were quite publicly boo'd up for a few months before officially calling it quits back in February, with rumours flying that his alleged cheating had caused the split. As you may remember, the former couple dropped their lovey-dovey collab "Konclusions" on Valentine's Day this year, just days before Kehlani followed up with a solo track, “Valentine’s Day (Shameful),” seemingly calling out YG for his wretched behaviour. There were already whispers that Kehlani wrote some of the singles off IWGUIW, especially "Toxic," about their messy split, but now that we've been blessed with it in its entirety, fans have no doubts that this new album is all about YG.

YG Reveals Fifth Album "Laugh Now Kry Later" Is On The Way
YG reveals his new single, “Laugh Now Kry Later” is actually the title track to his next studio album.
YG dropped off a new single last night, titled “Laugh Now Kry Later,” which is not only an amazing song title but actually serves as the title for his forthcoming, fifth studio album, too. The rapper announced the news a press release, and revealed that this new album won’t arrive until we’re all out of quarantine.
Nonetheless, YG wanted to give his fans something to get them through this lockdown, as he says, “This song is the title track from my upcoming album “Laugh Now Kry Later”. There’s more heat coming when we’re back outside again, but wanted to give my fans something to vibe to while we’re all inside. Stay home, stay safe and stay dangerous.” Stay safe and stay dangerous might be a difficult task to pull off simultaneously but we’re sure YG fans can manage.
Amy Sussman/Getty Images
The rapper has found success this year with a role in Lil Dicky‘s TV show, Dave, much to the delight of rap fans. His last album, 4REAL 4REAL, dropped a year ago, and since then, he’s had a rather public break-up with Kehlani which seems to be fueling fodder for the singer’s new music.
Are you guys ready for a new YG album? Stay tuned.
