Even stranger than the beef between Bhad Bhabie and Skai Jackson, 5-year-old ZaZa (and her parents) kicked off a light-hearted feud against North West (and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West) yesterday after the stylish 6-year-old performed a rendition of ZaZa's song "What I Do" at Yeezy Season 8. The moment was insanely cute and garnered tons of reactions online, which is likely what ZaZa's parents were peeved about. Explaining that they would have appreciated receiving the proper credit, Kim K actually took the high road and shouted out ZaZa, tweeting that North hopes she is a fan of the remix. On the original post, singer Tinashe ended up leaving her mark by slightly shading North West, which has earned her lots of backlash, forcing her to respond herself.
"North west wishes," wrote Tinashe on ZaZa's post, clearly supporting the 5-year-old in the short-lived beef. The comment netted her a bunch of confused and angry comments from fans who wondered why she would dare shade a toddler. Tinashe took the opportunity to address the drama on Twitter.
"It was a fucking joke y’all seriously dragging it," wrote the pop star, replying to a fan who implied she was wrong for the comment. "Y’all really acting As if I personally reached out to the little girl like she even on the gram like I’m fucking sick of everyone being so damn self righteous Plssssssssssss."
Do you think that Tinashe should have kept her mouth shut on this?
Kim Kardashian Responds To ZaZa’s Parents Over North West Performance
Kim Kardashian West let it be known that she in no way meant to rob ZaZa of credit when North performed a remix to ZaZa's song.
This was about to become the youngest and strangest rap beef in hip hop history. North West made her music debut at the Yeezy Season 8 fashion show by rapping her version of pint-sized star ZaZa's "What I Do." After the video went viral, ZaZa's parents took to Instagram to write that the Wests should have given credit to ZaZa because they used her original song for their upscale event. It was a criticism that Kim Kardashian West saw and addressed on social media.
“We love you, North is a huge fan and records in the studio all the time with her dad and is inspired by ZaZa and loves Lay Lay too!” the reality star commented. “Todays performance of North’s remix of ZaZa’s song was something she asked to do at the last minute and a complete surprise. I didn't mean to not give credit where credit was due. Would love for the girls to meet soon."
Later, Kim continued her credit-giving on Twitter. "I’m so proud of my Northie!!!!!! Her 1st performance had me in tears!" Kim wrote. "She had an impromptu performance on stage at her dads Yeezy Season 8 fashion show! Shout out to Zaza!!! @redcarpetZaZa North hopes you like the remix!!!" We wouldn't be surprised if these two kids made a real collaboration for the remix to this record. Check out a bit of North's performance below.
ZaZa’s Parents Call Out North West’s Yeezy Season 8 Performance
Five-year-old rapper ZaZa and her team weren’t happy to see that North West remixed her song “What I Do?” and performed it at the Yeezy Season 8 show without giving proper credit.
We’re sure nobody woke up today and expected to be witnessing a public beef between two toddlers, yet here we are! Following today’s surprise performance by pint-sized diva-in-the-making North West at the Yeezy Season 8 fashion show spearheaded by her dad Kanye West, the parents of five-year-old rapper ZaZa jumped on Instagram after feeling like Northie remixed “What I Do?” without giving proper credit to the original.

ZaZa’s viral hit “What I Do?” was released last summer and has garnered over 13 million views since then. North put a clever twist on the song for her performance — it still feels wild typing that! — sampling the infamous “What are those?!” line for her remixed version. ZaZa’s parents didn’t see the move as disrespectful exactly, but given the huge platform they seemed to be upset that Kanye or Kim Kardashian didn’t give any acknowledgement toward where or who North’s version was inspired by. “We admire Kanye west, and adore his journey,” one of ZaZa’s parents wrote for her on IG, continuing by adding, “However, we don’t wanna feel like our daughter’s journey in the world of entertainment is being STIFLED.” Many people agreed in the comments, including singer Tinashe who jokingly wrote, “North west wishes.”
Check out the Instagram post below, and let us know if you think this is all just an innocent misunderstanding or is North West and the Kardashian clan wrong for not giving credit where it’s rightfully due:

ZaZa isn’t out of kindergarten and she’s a pint-sized celebrity with a bank account that would make the average person green with envy.
