Kid Cudi and Travis Scott recently blessed fans with their latest collaboration, “The Scotts.” Of course, with the two artists having incredibly cult-ish fanbases, it was bound to do some damage on the Billboard Hot 100. As Billboard reports, the single has soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, marking Travis Scott’s third chart leader and Kid Cudi’s first.
“THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO ME!!! IVE BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 12 YEARS AND I FINALLY DID THIS W MY MUTHAFUCKIN BROTHER,” Kid Cudi exclaimed on Twitter. “TO MY PARTNER IN RAGE TRAVIS AND ALL MY FANS AROUND THE WORLD THAT SUPPORTED US AND GOT US ON LISTS, I FUCKIN LOVE YOU!!”
Earning 42.2 million U.S. streams and 67K song downloads, the song secured its spot at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with the help of Travis Scott’s Fortnite Astronomical event. It also marks Travis’ third #1 single following “Sicko Mode” and “Highest In The Room.” As for Kid Cudi, this song marks a new high for him since the last record he’s had close to the top for the charts was “Day N Nite” that reached number 3.
It is certainly a huge accomplishment for both artists but fans are surely thankful to have some new music from both Travis Scott and Kid Cudi to get them through the current pandemic.
