‘The Bear’ Final Season Premiere Date Revealed

Disney has officially confirmed when The Bear will return for its fifth and final season. The acclaimed comedy-drama is set to make its highly anticipated comeback in the UK on Friday, June 26, streaming exclusively on Disney+.

In a move that will delight fans eager to binge the conclusion, all eight episodes of the final season will be available to stream at launch, eliminating the need for a week-to-week wait. The upcoming season picks up the morning after Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Natalie ‘Sugar’ Berzatto (Abby Elliott) discover that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has stepped away from the food industry, leaving the restaurant’s future hanging in the balance.

According to reports, the final chapter will see the team grappling with financial instability, the looming threat of a sale, and a torrential storm as they unite for one final service, aiming to secure a coveted Michelin star.

The series continues to feature a stellar ensemble cast, including Matty Matheson, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and recurring appearances from Ricky Staffieri, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Reflecting on his time with the show, Lionel Boyce, who portrays pastry chef Marcus, noted that the experience served as a profound lesson in self-trust. “As the seasons go on, [show creator Christopher Storer] will ask me to do more, and things that I might be hesitant to do,” Boyce shared. “The show started with a huge loss and in season three it’s Marcus’ turn to experience that. I think Marcus is a little more resilient. He’s always been the level-headed one. He processes things differently.”

The announcement follows the surprise release of a prequel episode titled ‘Gary’, which features Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, providing crucial context to the events leading up to the show’s first season.
