Country-pop icon Shania Twain treated fans to an unforgettable, intimate performance at The Shacklewell Arms in London last night (June 6). The 200-capacity venue, a stark contrast to the massive arenas she typically commands, provided a rare opportunity for fans to experience the superstar in a stripped-back, nostalgic setting.
The Grammy-winning artist, who secured her place in music history with a string of diamond-certified albums, noted that the small-scale gig felt reminiscent of her early career. Reflecting on her journey, Twain shared with the audience, “They would say, ‘Welcome to the stage, little miss Twain’, and that was me! And I would sing my little country songs, and little did I know I would be all the way over here. I’m so happy to be here and be reliving some of my youth.”
The setlist was a masterclass in her storied career, blending massive hits like ‘Still The One’ and ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ with unexpected covers, including Kenny Rogers’ ‘The Gambler’ and Rednex’s ‘Cotton Eye Joe’.
Twain opened the night with her latest single, ‘Dirty Rosie’, a track from her forthcoming seventh studio album, Little Miss Twain. She explained that the new record is deeply personal, focusing on her life before she achieved global stardom. “I promise you, I was playing these very same kind of bars all those years from the age of eight years old to my late twenties,” she added.

This intimate showcase serves as a prelude to a busy summer for the singer. Next week, she is set to open for Harry Styles during his record-breaking 12-night residency at Wembley Stadium. Following those dates, she will headline a major concert at Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick, Ireland, on July 7.
Little Miss Twain is scheduled for release on July 24 via Republic, marking the follow-up to her 2023 LP, Queen Of Me.
