Indie icons Interpol and rock titans Queens of the Stone Age have officially announced a massive joint show in Mexico City, marking a significant event for fans of both acts. The two bands are set to take the stage at the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes on March 6, 2027, as part of a broader series of dates in the country.

The Mexico City date is part of a newly confirmed three-show stint for the bands. In addition to the capital, they will perform at Arena Guadalajara on March 2 and Arena Monterrey on March 9. Support for the entire run will be provided by The Black Angels. Tickets for the general public go on sale at 10am local time on Friday, September 25, with an artist pre-sale beginning the previous day.
A Return to Mexico
Both bands have deep ties to the Mexican music scene. In 2024, Interpol played the largest show of their career at Mexico City’s Zócalo square, drawing a crowd of over 150,000 people. Similarly, Queens of the Stone Age, led by the iconic Josh Homme, made a memorable appearance at the Corona Capital festival in the city the following year.
New Music and Future Plans
The announcement comes as both bands continue to evolve their discographies. Interpol recently released their eighth studio album, This Mirror Weighs A Ton, which has been praised for its introspective and human approach. Frontman Paul Banks noted that the record reflects a period of personal growth and reflection. Meanwhile, Queens of the Stone Age are preparing for the release of their upcoming LP, Perfecth, due on October 30, having already teased the project with new singles.
