We're already almost at the end of January which means the NBA trade deadline is quickly approaching. The deadline will go down on February 6th and teams are gearing up for some pretty massive trades that could shake up the entire league, for better or for worse. Halfway through the season, the Los Angeles Lakers are looking like one of the best teams in the league for the first time in a very long while. Despite this, some pundits think the Lakers need at least one more piece in order to become a true title contender.

Recently, LeBron James was asked if the Lakers should make any trades at the deadline. LeBron has been known to play the role of general manager at times and the media is curious as to whether or not he thinks his team is good enough. According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, LeBron is taking a more diplomatic approach.

Next month, NBA stars will be traveling to Chicago for the 2020 NBA All-Star game. Chicago is the home of the Bulls which, of course, is where Michael Jordan spent the bulk of his career. With this in mind, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Jordan Brand would want to celebrate this occasion accordingly. Yesterday, Jordan Brand revealed a wide range of shoes that will be coming out in time for the All-Star break and so far, they all look pretty amazing.

One of the shoes that have piqued people’s interest is the Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Varsity Red.” This sneaker features the OG Air Jordan 1 silhouette with a familiar Chicago-inspired colorway. The toe box and side panels are black while the overlays and Nike swoosh are red. Overall, it’s a gorgeous shoe that will certainly appeal to longtime fans of the brand. Recently, official images of the shoe were revealed. These photos give you a better sense of the aesthetics and the minute details that went into making it.

The 47-year-old actress turned entrepreneur, Gwyneth Paltrow, has become the go-to A-list celebrity when it comes to self-curated home products. Coming off the success of role in Netflix’s The Politician (2019) and instantly selling-out of her $75, vagina-scented ‘goop’ candles, Paltrow is continuing to exercise her creative muscles with the screening premiere of her very-own Netflix docuseries entitled The Goop Lab.

This past Tuesday, the former Marvel Universe actress, hosted a private screening of the upcoming docuseries in Los Angeles, CA. However, while her guests were thoroughly entertained by her multi-part documentary detailing alternative health methods or wellness trends, it was her floral decorations that stole the show. 

A tight-abed and svelte Gwyneth Paltrow, who recently received some shade  Martha Stewart in regards to her vagina-scented candles, stood in front of a vulva-shaped floral arrangement that ranged from deep scarlet hues to softer varying pink tones. The vagina-shaped floral composition used as a backdrop complimented Paltrow’s white spaghetti-strapped crop top and matching, flared slacks. 

While the event’s vagina flower design turned heads, Paltrow’s The Goop Lab docuseries informed its viewers about alternative medicine and wellness activities. The Goop Lab features Paltrow interviewing a multitude of alternative health and wellness experts and enthusiasts. Paltrow then proceeds to participate in said alternative methods during various segments throughout each episode.

Sopranos actress, Annabella Sciorra, took the stand today (Jan. 23) as a victim in the criminal sexual assault case against Harvey Weinstein. During Sciorra’s testimony, the True Love actress claims that Weinstein sent her care package complete with movies, Valium, and chocolate candy in the shape of penises.

Sciorra claims that Weinstein sent her the peculiar care package in response to casting her in multiple Miramax movies he was producing in the early 1990s. The now 57-year-old actress revealed that she was stressed because Weinstein wanted her to film back-to-back productions. According to Sciorra’s testimony obtained by PageSix, Sciorra called the gesture, “an effort to help me relax and not be so stressed.”

The first care package containing popcorn, licorice, movies, and Valium arrived at her Central Park West apartment. Prosecutor, Joan Illuzzi-Orbon, then asked Sciorra if he had sent any additional ‘packages’ to her apartment to which she replied “Yes.” Sciorra continued detailed the contents of the package saying:

“It was a box of chocolate penises … I thought it was disgusting and inappropriate.”

Annabella Sciorra is one of three women claiming that Harvey Weinstein sexually assaulted her and the first to take the stand against her alleged rapist. Sciorra claims that Weinstein raped her in her own apartment then proceeded to forcibly perform oral sex on the Brooklyn-bred actress in 1993 (or) 1994. 

With Weinstein currently being charged with two counts of predatory sexual assault, two counts of rape, and one count of criminal sex acts, he’s staring at a maximum sentencing of life in prison. And with his accusers boldly coming forward and testifying against the former super-producer, it looks like Weinstein could never see a day of freedom again if convicted.

Hollywood is mourning the death of a reality star. It’s being reported the former The Bachelorette contestant Tyler Gwozdz has died of a suspected drug overdose. News began to circulate on Wednesday (January 22) that the 29-year-old had been rushed to the hospital after police were dispatched to a Florida home.

However, according to reports by TMZand PEOPLE, a Boca Raton Police Services Department spokesperson shared the Gwozdz was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit after they “responded to a medical overdose” back on Monday, January 13. PEOPLE claims to have obtained a copy of the 911 call that shows Gwozdz’s bathroom door had to be kicked in before Narcan was administered to the reality star in the hopes of reversing the effect of an opioid overdose. 

During his hospitalization, Gwozdz “was listed as being in critical but stable condition.” However, paperwork states that he passed away on Wednesday. During his stint on last year’s season of The Bachelorette with Hannah Brown, Gwozdz shocked viewers when he decided to check out during the third episode. He only said he “had to leave” and it was shared that what truly happened behind the scenes wasn’t aired by producers “to respect his privacy.” It will reportedly take eight to 12 weeks for a full toxicology report.

Brooklyn drill is making serious waves across the music industry. Although Chief Keef and the Chicago artists who brought drill in the first place deserve their credit, Bobby Shmurda helped bring the sound to Brooklyn. Pop Smoke, Fivio Foreign, Sheff G, 22Gz, and more artists from the borough are taking the drill sound and putting their own twist in it.

Bobby Shmurda's incarceration has been a major roadblock in his career but he expected to be out this summer. According to Fivio Foreign, it looks like he's already getting ready for his triumphant return. Fivio spoke to Ebro on Beats1 where he detailed his new deal with Columbia and what he has in store for the coming months. Ebro then asked him about the GS9 boys and Fivio gave a great update.

"I spoke to Rebel on the phone. He said two weeks he got some fire coming out. He goin' crazy," he said. "And he's dropping a mixtape," he added.

Ebro, like the rest of us, was unclear who Fivio was referring to. "Bobby! He droppin' a mixtape from jail," he revealed. "Facts, nobody knew that."

As for Fivio, the rapper explained that he got some heat cookin' up right now including his debut album. Although he's unclear when it'll drop, he did reveal the title is The Bible.

Southside and City Girls’ Yung Miami welcomed their adorable daughter Summer back in October marking Yung’s second child but first with her producer boyfriend. Southside has six other children and one of his baby mothers named Ashley has now publicly slammed him for leaving her high and dry with their one-year-old son.

According to Ashley, she and Southside (born Joshua Howard Luellen) met through his cousin and after “hitting it off” they went their separate ways. Ashley found out that she was pregnant and after doing a DNA test she was able to confirm the baby was Southside’s. Apparently, Southside has barely helped when it comes to child support of their son. Ashley claims that the last amount of money she’s received was last summer when he sent her $7,500 to get an apartment. 

“I reach out to his manager and [Josh] unblocked me and started talking shit like, ‘oh you a bum bitch, here’s my receipts, this is all you’re gonna get.'” she explained of her interaction with Southside. “You don’t need to talk to me like that! He thinks because he has all this money, he’s God and he can talk to anyone any type of way.” The dispute has lead to Southside’s mom coming for Ashely on Instagram accusing her of lying about the situation. The Los Angeles Clippers are on the short list of teams that have a realistic shot of winning the NBA championship this season, but that doesn't mean they're content with their current roster construction.  

According to The New York Times' Marc Stein, the Clippers "are exploring the trade market for dependable size as well as potential wing depth" ahead of the league's February 6th trade deadline.

The Clippers are currently sitting at 31-14 on the season, third best in the Western Conference, but they reportedly have some concerns about how they stack up against the conference-leading Los Angeles Lakers.

Stein writes:

"Doesn't guarantee that they'll make a deal, of course, but the Clippers are said to be concerned about their lack of muscle up front compared to the Lakers' length as well as the ongoing health issues Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are battling."

It's unclear which specific players the Clips are targeting, but there are some notable bigs that could be available trade, including the Detroit Pistons' Andre Drummond and Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams. The New York Knicks' Marcus Morris is also expected to receive plenty of interest as we approach the deadline.

Drummond, 26, is expected to decline his $28M player option after this season, which would certainly motivate Detroit to find a trade partner before the deadline. That said, the Pistons' asking price, coupled with Drummond's extension demands, may be too much for a team that recently gave up a haul of draft picks to acquire All Star forward Paul George. 

We'll find out one way or another within the next two weeks.

Sharing the trailer, Angie Martinez narrates his rise to stardom from Danny Hernandez, deli meat clerk to the federal case involving the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The podcast will include exclusive interviews and an in-depth look into his life from some people that knew him or had some sort of involvement with him. 

In related news, the rapper recently had his request to do the rest of his bid in home confinement denied. After taking the stand, the rapper compromised his own safety and asked the judge if he can finish the remainder of his sentence in home confinement. Due to the severity of his crimes, the judge made it clear that 6ix9ine will remain in jail.

Jimmy Butler has been putting on a show for the Miami Heat this season and fans couldn’t be happier. Butler was acquired from the Philadelphia 76ers in the offseason and as the number one option on the team, Butler is looking like a leader. Earlier in his career, Butler was criticized for the way he conducts himself around his teammates but now, he looks like he has completely embraced the mentor role in his time with this young Heat squad.

Recently, Dwyane Wade lovingly referred to Butler as “crazy,” noting that his personality is perfect for the city of Miami. Butler was given a chance to respond to Wade’s comments and as you can imagine, Butler showed saying just how much he loves the culture of the franchise.

“I think it’s all based off of honesty, truthfulness, hard work and intention,” Butler said according to Nick Friedell of ESPN. “And I feel like when you talk about myself, you talk about Spo, you talk about Coach Pat, that’s what all of this thing is based off of: how hard you work, how you can keep it real with one another and not take anything personal. It fits for me here. I’m loving it, man. They’re constantly in my ear, and we’re constantly going back and forth, figuring out ways that I can be better. How I can make everybody else better.”

Moving forward, the Heat could be a serious problem in the playoffs if Butler continues to play so well. The Eastern Conference has been entertaining this year and the Heat are a large reason why.
