Blondshell Launches New Era with ‘Heart Has To Work So Hard’ and Massive 2026 Tour

Blondshell has officially launched a new chapter in her career with the release of her latest single, ‘Heart Has To Work So Hard’. The track, which serves as the first glimpse into her upcoming studio album, arrives alongside the announcement of her most ambitious tour to date, spanning North America, Europe, and the UK.

The Los Angeles-based musician, known off-stage as Sabrina Teitelbaum, continues to refine her signature sound—a blend of monotone delivery and emotionally charged, stirring lyricism. ‘Heart Has To Work So Hard’ explores the complexities of a fraying friendship, with Teitelbaum singing, “You give me paws / You get me scaring strangers / You get me criticising / You make this feel like labour / My heart has to work so hard when you’re around.”

Reflecting on the song’s themes, Teitelbaum explained that it captures the experience of being “stuck in a dynamic” defined by betrayal and confusion. “No one trains you for the ups and downs of a friendship between two women, but it’s also about a love so enduring that you find compassion no matter what,” she noted.

This release marks her first new music since the 2025 companion tracks ‘If You Asked For A Picture’ and ‘Another Picture’. Her previous work earned critical acclaim, including a four-star review from NME, which praised her ability to focus on the nuanced spaces between her stories.

A Global Tour Announcement

The new single coincides with the announcement of a massive headline tour. The North American leg is set to kick off on October 14 in San Diego, concluding in Boston on November 7. Following this, Blondshell will head to the UK for her largest headline show to date at London’s Roundhouse in December.

Throughout the tour, she will be joined by a variety of support acts, including Bully, Starcleaner Reunion, Prewn, TTSSFU, and Theatre. Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, May 22, at 10am local time.
