CAMERON WINTER AT CARNEGIE HALL — director Paul Thomas Anderson’s 35mm and 16mm shot documentation of Cameron Winter’s solo performance at Carnegie Hall — will be coming to theaters this fall and winter via Janus Films and Criterion. This highly anticipated project captures the Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall performance, offering fans a cinematic look at one of the most significant musical events of the year.

Winter’s Carnegie Hall solo performance in December 2025 came amidst the peak of his rising star, a year after his solo record Heavy Metal anointed him as a new iconoclastic voice in American songwriting. It also came three months after his band Geese released their mainstream breakthrough, Getting Killed, which led to their performance on Saturday Night Life and ubiquity in the global festival circuit.

Videos of Winter’s 2025 Carnegie Hall performance immediately went viral online for both Winter’s moving and minimalist piano renditions of his songs and for Anderson’s presence, who was onstage filming with his massive, vintage film set up.
