DaniLeigh has never stayed in one lane. She danced before she sang and choreographed before she signed. She also directed Prince’s ‘Breakfast Can Wait’ video before most listeners knew her name. On With Love, From Dani, released October 2, 2026, she turns those skills toward her most personal subject yet: her own life.
The 13-track album is her first independent project since leaving the major-label system, and it follows a difficult year. DaniLeigh lost her father, recommitted to her faith and carried all of it into the studio. The result moves through R&B, hip-hop, Afrobeats and drill. One idea holds it together: every song had to come from love, whether that love was healing her or growing out of hurt. She told GQ South Africa the album has “no malice, no petty, no hate.”
She set one more rule: every song had to be one her daughter could listen to. That marks a clear break from her Def Jam years. The Plan gave fans ‘Lil Bebe’, and 2020’s Movie delivered ‘Easy’ and its Chris Brown remix, records that sometimes leaned into the turbulence of romance.
The guest list stretches across continents. Toschi joins her on ‘Cinderella Man’, and Jordan Adetunji brings a UK-meets-Afro bounce to ‘Home’. Tink trades verses on ‘Up Down’, and Fivio Foreign crashes in on ‘Sk8’. The singles ‘G.O.D.’ and ‘Step’ cover faith and the dance floor. ‘La Familia’, with Bella Dose and Brandon Bills, celebrates family by blood and by choice.
The emotional peak is ‘Goosebumps’ with Nigerian star Olamide, a song rooted in Matthew 18:20 that links Miami, Los Angeles and Lagos. A bonus version of ‘G.O.D.’ with Alex Jean closes the record where it began, with faith. With Love, From Dani is out now on all streaming platforms.
