Kings of Leon have officially returned with their latest single, the serene and reflective track ‘Cold Blue Dawn.’ This release serves as the second preview from their highly anticipated upcoming album, O My Beloved, which is slated for release on November 6 via Love Tap Records.
The new music video for ‘Cold Blue Dawn’ represents a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the band and The Weather Channel. Utilizing satellite imagery from NASA’s historic Landsat programme, the visualizer maps out the song’s lyrics across stunning aerial views of rivers, coastlines, and mountain ranges. This partnership highlights the band’s appreciation for the natural world and its role in shaping personal human experiences.

Frontman Caleb Followill expressed his enthusiasm for the project, noting that his family were already dedicated followers of the network. “We saw what they did with our song immediately and thought it was beautiful,” Followill shared. “We learned they were making music a larger part of what they do and we reached out immediately to try and do something together.”
The collaboration follows a viral moment where The Weather Channel used the band’s track ‘Pyro’ in a weather-related clip, a gesture the group embraced on social media. Rohit Agarwal, CEO of The Weather Company, noted that the partnership aims to bridge the gap between science and creativity, emphasizing that weather and music both play integral roles in the stories of our lives.
O My Beloved is described as the band’s most intimate and unguarded record to date, featuring 13 tracks that center on themes of nostalgia and self-reflection. The album follows their 2024 release, Can We Please Have Fun, and marks a continued evolution for the Tennessee rock giants as they look back on their journey and the family stories that have shaped their sound.
