New Order Announce ‘The Best & The Rest Of’ Remastered Collection

New Order have announced plans to release ‘The Best & The Rest Of’ remastered collection, featuring a wealth of previously unreleased remixes. The expansive set is scheduled to arrive via Warner Music on July 17.

Bringing together the band’s acclaimed compilations ‘The Best Of New Order’ and ‘The Rest Of New Order’ for the first time, the new collection features fully remastered audio alongside an extensive selection of remixes. The project includes rare and previously unreleased work from notable electronic artists such as SubSub, Richie Hawtin, and Joe T. Vannelli.

Both albums will also be available as separate vinyl formats, with the audio meticulously remastered and cut at Abbey Road Studios. Notably, ‘The Rest Of New Order’ will be released as a 3LP set, compiling all 12 tracks from the original CD and vinyl release for the first time.

Originally released in 1994, ‘The Best Of New Order’ served as a definitive selection of the band’s singles from 1985, featuring iconic tracks such as ‘True Faith’, ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’, ‘Blue Monday 88’, ‘Regret’, and ‘World In Motion’. The companion remix album, ‘The Rest Of New Order’, followed in 1995, offering a re-imagined perspective on the band’s catalogue, including the standout ‘Blue Monday-95’ remixed by German electronic duo Hardfloor.

Both original albums achieved significant commercial success, reaching the UK Top Five upon their initial release. Fans can pre-order the new collection now.

In other news, New Order bassist Peter Hook recently discussed the potential for a reunion and his ongoing talks regarding a Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame performance. The band, along with Joy Division, were inducted into the Rock Hall as a single act in November 2026, following several years of nominations.

Reflecting on the induction, the band expressed their gratitude: “From our beginnings as Joy Division to the evolving journey of New Order, this accolade reflects the resilience across nearly five decades that has defined our path alongside our fans, our collaborators and those sadly no longer with us.”
