"Social Distancing" has become the new thing everyone is talking about and rightfully so. We are currently going through a horrible pandemic and we are all being told to isolate ourselves as a means to slow down the spread of the Coronavirus. When we do have to leave the house, we must remain at least two meters apart from everyone as a means to make sure we don't come in contact with germs and potentially, the virus.
Stephen A. Smith and numerous ESPN reporters came through with a PSA the other day about staying home and helping to flatten the curve. Now, Smith is giving a PSA all on his own where he angrily ripped those who are still leaving their houses despite being told to do otherwise. You can tell Smith is passionate about this and doesn't seem impressed that after all this time, he still has to give such lofty warnings.
Cases in the United States continue to rise and by the middle of April, we could see close to one million people in the country infected. With this in mind, it is important that everyone act now so we can get back to normal life, sooner rather than later.
Hopefully, Smith's words don't fall on deaf ears.
Super Bowl Possibly Led To Spread Of Coronavirus Says Governor
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is admitting that the Super Bowl may have been a breeding ground for Coronavirus.
Back in February, which seems like forever ago now, the Super Bowl took place in Florida. Florida has been very lackadaisical in their response to the Coronavirus and now, it appears as though they are making some admissions about how the whole thing has been handled. Recently, Governor Ron DeSantis spoke about COVID-19 and how the Miami Super Bowl was most likely the cause of numerous infections.
There are 62,000 seats in the Hard Rock Stadium which means numerous people could have been infected. At the time, the state wasn’t testing people which ultimately could have led to some people going under the radar, especially if they were asymptomatic.

This is proving to be a problem now as the United States has over 200,000 confirmed cases of the disease. Florida has 6,000 and they are expected to get a whole lot more after the March Break fiasco that recently went down. With this in mind, it’s clear that the Super Bowl has proven to be cause for concern for the state although there isn’t very much they can do about it now.
The next few weeks will prove to be crucial as states across America, as well as countries around the world, fight to stop the spread of COVID-19. For now, these are uncertain times but hopefully, we can all stand united and prevail.

Jameela Jamil Slams Jokes About Her Getting Coronavirus
Jameela Jamil is not amused by all the jokes that she'll claim to have coronavirus due to her reputation for allegedly lying about her history of health issues.
Jameela Jamil responded to all the jokes that she would be the first famous person who would claim to have contracted coronavirus, and she's not thrilled. The actress has been accused of lying about having various health issues in the past, many claiming that she must have a mental disorder called munchausens, in which people deliberately act as though they have a physical or mental illness when they really don't. Jameela has spoken out about her real health struggles, revealing that she has a genetic connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos syndrome, an invisible illness which causes all sorts of horrible side effects. However, jokes about her pretending to be sick persist, and with the spread of coronavirus, they've only become more severe. One comedian in particular tweeted, "Place your bets on who will be the first famous person to get Corona," followed by, "Jameela doesn't count." The outspoken activist shared a screenshot of the tweet with a response to the joke about her health.
"May you never suffer from chronic illness," Jameela said. "May you never wake up in pain and swollen every fucking day of your life. May you never struggle with an invisible disability. May you never be laughed at over it by people who have never met you...To the bad place you go." The comedian in question, Michelle Collins, retweeted the post, writing, "I HAVE FINALLY MADE IT. Learn to LOL about yourself girl, it's freeing."
Jameela replied, "Congratulations on making fun of my chronic pain and illness. Big day for you," before posting her own tweet a few days later about all the countless jokes others have already made about her pretending to contract coronavirus because of her reputation.
"If you’re gonna make a joke about how I am going to be the first actress with coronavirus, ya late and ya basic," she wrote on a series of screenshots of said jokes. "Joking about my mental and physical health doesn’t hurt me as much as other more vulnerable people with chronic illness/invisible disability/actual munchausens." Last month, Jameela's boyfriend, James Blake, took to Twitter to stand up for her after she was first "exposed" for allegedly lying about having an abundance of health issues. "May none of us ever know the pain and frustration of that existence," he wrote in a lengthy post about Jameela's real health struggles. "I'm not gonna stand by and let some total strangers try to push my girlfriend over the edge."
NCAA Pressured To Host Fan-Less March Madness Due To Coronavirus
Some believe the Coronavirus will make the tournament an unsafe environment for fans.
Coronavirus is perhaps one of the biggest viruses of our time when it comes to the rate of transmission and the potential for an epidemic. While there is still a lot we don’t know about the virus, people are still extremely scared about the possibility of catching it. This mass hysteria has led to flight cancelations, store closures, and even the collapse of the stock market. Now, sporting events could be affected. There have been talks about canceling the Olympics in Tokyo this summer and now, some want to see changes to the NCAA basketball March Madness tournament.
According to TMZ, the National College Players Association recently released a statement demanding the NCAA hold the March Madness tournament without any people in the stands. The organization believes that students and spectators could be at risk throughout the tournament and that no audience would make things a lot safer.

“In the wake of the emerging Coronavirus pandemic, the NCAA and its colleges should take precautions to protect college athletes,” the NCPA said. The NCAA recently responded to the statement saying they are taking every single precaution necessary and for now, the tournament will go on as planned.
Stay tuned for updates on this situation as we will be sure to bring them to you.
CDC Shows Which Facial Hairstyles Could Prevent Coronavirus
The CDC has released a chart indicating which facial hairstyles are less likely to interfere with respirators that help to prevent the contraction of Coronavirus.
In the most dystopic news you’ve heard today, the CDC has released a chart indicating which facial hairstyles could interfere with potentially life-saving respirators, that are worn to prevent the contraction of diseases like Coronavirus. In the graphic, 13 different styles are check-marked green, meaning that they won’t get in the way of properly sealing the respirator onto one’s face, while 18 other styles have a red “X” under them, indicating that they pose a threat to the mask’s ability to function. This is because hair can get in the way of the respirator’s exhalation valve, rendering it ineffective.

While the Center for Disease Control advises gentlemen to simply shave their facial hair for the safest respiratory sealing surface, soul patches, sideburns, and most moustache styles are among the 13 styles that have been approved. The CDC actually developed the “educational tool” back in November 2017 to instruct participants of Movember how to safely wears masks in the workplace, but the infographic is more relevant now than ever. In more uplifting news, a vaccine for Coronavirus has reportedly been created by a genetic engineering company in Houston. The scientists at Greffex believe they have found the cure for the fatal disease.
James Blake Defends Girlfriend Jameela Jamil
James Blake came to the defence of his girlfriend, Jameela Jamil, against recent claims that she has lied about her various health problems.
James Blake has some words for anyone who wants to come for his girlfriend, Jameela Jamil, after she was widely accused of faking various health problems for attention. James took to social media to address the situation and validate Jameela's medical issues, and to tell everyone to back off his lady.
"It's pretty disgusting to watch the woman I love just be dog piled on every day for such ridiculous things," he began the Notes app message. "She hasn't sold dangerous products to kids. She hasn't abused anyone. She hasn't funded anything dangerous or brought any deliberate harm to any marginalized group. She's done her best as an ever learning human, as most of us are, to help other people with her privilege. She does this because she had such a difficult life. Because she doesn't want others to feel alone, gaslit or ashamed the way she has."

James goes on to list the various struggles he's witnessed Jameela go through with her body, in an effort to validate them to those who were skeptical. "I am there for her swollen joints, her dislocations, her severe allergic reactions, her constant high fevers," he writes. "I was there for her concussion, her 3 months of seizures, when the doctor fave her the cancer diagnosis, and for all her operations and their complications due to EDS. I can feel the lumps in her back from the car accident and see all the scars. I am there when she turns down amazing job opportunities because of her health limitations. I actually live with her. Her being attractive, tall, and successful doesn't mean she hasn't been sick."
He then describes the specific genetic connective tissue disorder Jameela does actually have. "Ehlers Danlos syndrome is a very real, very debilitating condition. More and more people are discovering they have it, but because it's vastly under researched and the patients, as with most invisible disabilities look well, people constantly doubt and mock those suffering. May none of us ever know the pain and frustration of that existence. I feel lucky not to, watching how many jobs and fun nights out my girlfriend has had to turn down because of what her body can and can't do. Huge, life changing jobs."
Rich Fury/Getty Images
He concludes his statement by challenging Jameela's haters to confront themselves and reevaluate what they're doing. "You don't know this woman. A lot of you literally think she's Tahani from the Good Place. You don't know what her life is, and has been like. But I do, and I'm not gonna stand by and let some total strangers try to push my girlfriend over the edge to what...stop her from helping kids with eating disorders? stop removing mainstream shame of talking about mental health? What are any of you even doing? And why are so many of you enjoying this? It's sick to watch, and I don't ever see men treated like this, the way we tear women from limb to limb."
The Internet began to "dog pile" onto Jameela by questioning the legitimacy of Jameela's health issues after she was heavily criticized for signing on to be a judge on the upcoming HBO voguing competition show, Legendary, in which eight different ballroom houses will compete for a grand prize. Folks expressed their disappointment that someone with no voguing experience was seemingly taking up space in the ballroom scene, which is a predominately black and Latino subculture of the LGBTQ community. Jameela attempted to defend her position and validate her decision by coming out as queer, which only landed her more scrutiny.
First US Citizen Dies Of Coronavirus
The Coronavirus is continuing to get worse.
The first United States citizen has died as a result of contracting the Coronavirus, according to The New York Times.
The United States Embassy in Beijing reports the patient was "around 60-years-old," and died on Thursday.
"We offer our sincerest condolences to the family on their loss," a spokesperson for the embassy said. "Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we have no further comment."
Both the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization have offered to send a team of experts to China to help with the outbreak. China has not accepted help from either group. Experts tell The New York Times that one reason could be that various aspects of the outbreak may look bad for China.
As of Friday, 34,000 people in 24 countries have been infected with the Coronavirus. 700 people have been killed.
The news comes days after the death of Dr. Li Wenliang, the whistleblower who warned the world about the Coronavirus. On December 30th, Li warned about the virus online and was subsequently arrested for spreading false rumors. He was forced to sign a document which disavowed his statements. Li died of the virus he tried to warn the world about on Friday morning.
