He's both a physician and television personality who keeps the public informed about health-related topics, but Dr. Oz found himself in the hot seat. Weeks ago, Dr. Oz showed up on The Wendy Williams Show to discuss how people can use precautions while engaging in sexual activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. He's been actively making appearances on various television shows, including chatting with Fox News on Tuesday (April 14) about schools reopening during a pandemic.

He called the prospect an "appetizing opportunity," adding, “I just saw a nice piece in The Lancet of schools may only cost us 2 to 3 percent in terms of total mortality. You know, that’s — any life is a life lost, but to get every child back into a school where they’re safely being educated, being fed, and making the most out of their lives, with the theoretical risk on the backside, it might be a trade-off some folks would consider.”
The public was quick to unleash wrath on the medical professional for insinuating that a few dead citizens would be an acceptable "trade-off," forcing Dr. Oz to issue an apology. “I’ve realized my comments on risks around schools have confused and upset people, which was never my intention,” Dr. Oz said in a follow-up video he shared on social media. “I misspoke.”
Trump Predicts "Suicides By The Thousands" If Quarantine Isn’t Lifted
Trump is ready to get the economy back up and running, so he's determined to end the COVID-19 quarantine by Easter Sunday, April 12.
As the quarantine continues, Americans may have an end in sight. President Donald Trump wants the quarantine lockdown on the United States to be lifted by Easter, and he chatted with Fox News and stated that if citizens aren't out and about soon, there will be "suicides by the thousands." He added, "We have to put the country to work. You are going to lose a number of people to the flu, but you are going to lose more people by putting the country in a massive recession or depression."

"You are going to lose people. You are going to have suicides by the thousands," he continued. "You can't just come in and say, 'Let's close up the United States of America.'" It's Trump's goal to get the economy back up and running instead of having people quarantined in their homes. "There are people, they wanna save their business. They don't want to be locked up in some room or some apartment or house and in the meantime, their restaurant's closed, their business is closed," he said. "They wanna be saving their business. I believe very strongly, you're gonna lose far more people by going that way than you are if we kept this thing going."
Easter is about three weeks away, and while April 12 is the target, Trump added that people will still have to exercise precautions like avoiding physical contact and continuously washing their hands. “People get tremendous anxiety and depression, and you have suicides over things like this when you have terrible economies. You have death. Probably and — I mean, definitely — would be in far greater numbers than the numbers that we’re talking about with regard to the virus.” Check out clips of Trump answering questions about the pandemic below
Wendy Williams Asks Dr. Oz About Sex & Coronavirus
Wendy Williams asks Dr. Oz the question on everyone’s mind: is it safe to have sex during the coronavirus outbreak?
Everything has been affected by the coronavirus outbreak. The health of our loved ones is the most important thing right now but, in the coming weeks/months, we will see even more of an effect on the economy, small businesses, and more. If you were on the prowl before COVID-19, you have surely noticed a difference in dating. With social distancing in effect, it’s not recommended to go out in public, effectively putting all of your relationship goals and aspirations on ice. Because of this, Wendy Williams came through with an important question: is it safe to have sex while this is going on? She asked Dr. Oz for clarity.

“When I went to Dr. Oz, one of the things I talked to him about, I was like, ‘Dr. Oz, what do single people, including me, do about sex?'” asked Wendy on the at-home version of her talk show. “Because as much as a wanted woman as I am, I’m not thinking about that. I don’t want anybody over here. I think condoms are something random. You know, what about the sweat and the shower?”
While the part about sex was not included in the episode, Wendy noted that Dr. Oz advised her against it for right now.
“He ended up saying, ‘You know what? Hold out. It’ll be over soon,'” she added.
So there you have it. No sex for the time-being, y’all. Watch the video below to hear what else Williams had to say, including her moaning at her crab lunch…
Wendy Williams On Wanting To "Risk It" To Continue Filming Her Show

“I got a telephone call, honestly, and the phone call was, ‘Wendy?’ I was like, ‘What? What am I doing wrong now?’ I always think I’m in trouble. They said, ‘We’re all shutting down everything, all the networks. Nobody is going to be doing new shows. We want all the hosts to be well.’,” she explained.
“I said, ‘But I can do it even with no audience. I don’t even have to have the staffers there because I did that for two days.’ But they said, ‘No. We need to have you home, indefinitely.’ There will be no more Wendy or any of the other people for a period of time.
“I’m willing to risk it with one camera and a flashlight. I’m ready to go back to work next week. I’m ready to go back to work when we’re like — come on, let’s go!”
As for when The Wendy Williams Show will return, a date is still up in the air. The Coronavirus outbreak is showing no signs of stopping any time soon.
Dr. Oz Wants To Make Mark Wahlberg Throw Up During Their Competitive Workout
Dr. Oz wants all the smoke with Mark Wahlberg
Over the past several years, Mark Wahlberg has become an advocate for leading a healthy lifestyle. The Boogie Nights actor is even inspiring his peers and catching the attention of MMA fighters with his newly-acquired physique. However, in recent weeks, professional health advisor and heart surgeon, Dr. Mehmet Oz has been promoting intermittent fasting to his millions of devoted followers and Mark Wahlberg aggressively disagreed stating that the fasting method is unnecessary, sparking one of the strangest beefs in celebrity history.
After Dr. Oz posted two videos of himself in action, Mark Wahlberg posted a video himself in the gym alongside Dr. Christopher Vincent declaring his contempt for fasting as he mocked the health guru stating:
“If you wanna challenge me, I’ll come hungover, eat a big steak, and you can do your little 20 pushups with one leg, your assisted pullup, I’m telling you, you’ll need a defibrillator when I’m done with you, alright, I’m the real thing, this is 30 years of training. I can’t even take my vitamins and digest them without any food. You got to eat that food. Food is your friend.”
Since then, the two have traded their jabs at one another but recently, Page Six ran into the author/television personality at the Blue Jacket Fashion Show and he revealed to the publication that he believes that he can make Mark eat his words and literally throw them up. Dr. Oz jokingly bragged:
“I feel confident, very confident, supremely confident. I think he’s a good athlete, he’ll be a good loser. I want the visual of his breakfast coming up as we finish the competition.”
While the 59-year-old genuinely believes he has the endurance, stamina, and strength to outwork the chiseled actor/entrepreneur in Mark Wahlberg in the gym, no official competition has been arranged for the too to contend in. However, the two will eventually have to cross paths.

R. Kelly’s Ex Alleges He Recreated His Own Sexual Abuse
R. Kelly’s ex-girlfriend Kitti Jones tells Dr. Oz that the singer used to ask her to do “graphic” things connected to his own sexual abuse.
It’s been one year since the public finally caught on to all of the disgusting crimes that R. Kelly has been accused of, which were presented concisely through the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries on Lifetime. The multi-episodic documentary included testimonials from some of his alleged victims, including his ex-girlfriend Kitti Jones. Telling her story on Surviving, Jones was a guest on Dr. Oz where she continued explaining just how dangerous her former partner is, detailing all that went on during her life with him. Revealing that she was slapped, kicked, and starved until she passed out, Jones recalled some of the “graphic” things he would force her to do while having sex, including some scenes that mirrored his own sexual abuse.

R. Kelly was sexually abused at a young age and, in a new interview with Dr. Oz, Kitti Jones says that he actually enjoyed playing out memories from his own abuse. “Later in the relationship, there were things that he would ask me to do to him, sexually, that I connected to the abuse,” says 41-year-old Jones on the episode, which airs later today. “And that’s when I would feel really ill doing it to him because I knew where it was coming from. It was some pretty graphic things.”
The disgraced artist was abused as a child by “a man in the neighborhood,” also allegedly being preyed on by his older sister. Listen to Kitti Jones’ account of the situation below.
Aaron Hernandez’s Brother Breaks Silence For The First Time Since Netflix Docuseries
Aaron Hernandez’s brother Jonatha speaks on the abuse they endured under their father’s roof.
Aaron Hernandez has been back in headlines in the past few weeks due to Netflix’s docuseries, Killer Inside: The Mind Of Aaron Hernandez. One aspect of the film that received a lot of criticism is that no one close to Hernandez actually appeared in the film. His former fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins, only recently spoke on the docuseries to ABC but it appears that Aaron’s brother is also breaking his silence.

Jonathan Hernandez is set to appear on Dr. Oz’s show tomorrow. Ahead of the episode airing, Entertainment Weekly shared a few clips from the interview where he gets candid with the show’s host. The topic of the abuse Aaron Hernandez endured as a child was detailed in the documentary but Jonathan confirmed that their father really was that abusive towards them.
“I don’t think ‘beat’ is really even the word that can be expressed,” he said. “When you literally have to blow on your brother’s wounds because of the creases of a belt or a handprint in your body and the burning sensation it has and have a rule in your household that you can get beat but you stay away from the face so other people can’t notice.”
Jonathan also speaks on the allegations that the murder of Odin Lloyd was motivated because he knew that Aaron was gay. However, like everyone else, including Shayanna Jenkins, he is still scratching his head over it. Peep the clips below. The full episode airs on Thursday.
Dr. Oz Not Worried About Coronavirus: Not As "Deadly As We Fear"
Dr. Oz isn’t stressed about the virus making its was to the US.
Last week Dr. Oz went head to head with Mark Wahlberg fighting his claim that breakfast is an important meal of the day. “I would eat normally but I skip breakfast, I skip lunch. I feel stronger than ever because I’m intermittent fasting, which you should learn more about,” Dr. Oz said to Mark. Now that a new week is here, the 59-year-old is now claiming that the Coronavirus (that has infected 2000 individuals in China leading to 80 deaths) shouldn’t’ worry any Americans even though cases have been confirmed on US soil.

TMZ caught Dr. Oz in the streets of New York and asked him about his thoughts on the airborne virus. “Listen, it’s a bad virus because it gets into your lungs and that’s why it’s so difficult to get rid of,” he said. “I’m not that worried about the U.S. yet. Although it’s contagious it doesn’t seem so deadly to fear.” Dr. Oz detailed further how the virus is difficult to source since someone can be a carrier and not know it.
On the topic of how the illness caught the name of a popular beer, apparently it’s due to the image of the virus under a microscope. “When you go to medical school you’re not elected for your creativity. We literally describe what the virus looks like and the Coronavirus looks like a crown,” he said.
Mark Wahlberg & Dr. Oz Go Public With Their Feud On Importance Of Eating Breakfast
Who you got?
Mark Wahlberg didn’t get as buff and fit as he is by not putting in crazy amounts of effort into his meal and work out plans. The Fighter actor has preached in the past about his 4 AM workouts and meal plans and despite all of his knowledge on staying healthy Dr. Oz does not agree with Mark on how breakfast is a very important meal of the day. Dr. Mehmet Oz, who has his own show on health, claims that intermittent fasting is one of the healthiest things one can do for their body but Mark’s calling bullshit and the duo have now taken it to Instagram.

“Listen, we got beef now. You don’t want this smoke, trust me,” Mark said in a video on Instagram. “If you wanna challenge me, I’ll come hung over, eat a big steak, and you can do your little 20 push-ups with one leg, your assisted pull-up, I’m telling you you’ll need a defibrillator when I’m done with you.”
Dr. Oz followed up with a video of his own that sees him doing push ups. “I watched your video and heard the taunting … I would eat normally but I skip breakfast, I skip lunch. I feel stronger than ever because I’m intermittent fasting, which you should learn more about,” he said between push-ups. “The ball’s in your court, my friend. Anytime, anywhere … By the way, those pull-ups, they were real.”
Mark then followed up with another video telling the doc to grab his defibrillator because he’s going to need it after they go head to head but Dr. Oz came through with the last word.
“Hey Mark, I gotta say nice muscles but I still haven’t seen you work out yet,” he said. “You keep talking about defibrillators. I’m sure you played with one in a movie once, but I’m here in the hospital and I actually play with real devices that save real lives … when you work out with that full stomach of yours, I’m going to be defibrillating you.”
