On “Come Find Me,” Garcani Wonders Who Writes the Songwriter’s Love Song

There’s an old irony in songwriting: the people who give everyone else the words for love don’t always find it themselves. Garcani, the Colombian-American artist born in the United States, sits with that irony on his new single “Come Find Me,” released today on all major streaming platforms.

Garcani has said he writes from real moments, building records that make listeners feel, help them see themselves in the story, and get them moving. That philosophy turns inward here. The song’s most revealing moment arrives in the bridge, where he asks whether his purpose might be to act as a vessel, channeling other people’s heartbreak and devotion while his own love story never arrives.

It’s a striking question for an artist to ask in public. Most singers present themselves as experts in romance. Garcani admits he might be a translator, fluent in a language he hasn’t fully gotten to speak. He doesn’t settle the question, and the song is better for it. You can hear him weighing acceptance against hope, then landing on hope, asking her to become the proof that he was wrong all along.

The rest of the track builds toward that moment. He’s followed a calling to create something lasting, yet he admits no audience fills the space one person left. He won’t chase her. He stays where he is, door open, and trusts her to come find him when the time and both their minds are ready.

His Colombian roots and US upbringing show up in his willingness to move between moods and sounds, though connection remains his constant. “Come Find Me” feels like the most personal chapter yet in that project, a songwriter finally writing one for himself.
