Ahmaud Arbery was allegedly killed in broad daylight a few months ago while jogging through Georgia. Travis and Greg McMichael reportedly thought Arbery was a burglar and they tried to take matters into their own hands. William Bryan was the man who filmed the alleged murder and eventually, he was arrested and brought up on murder charges along with the McMichael's.
Today, there was a probable-cause hearing which was mediated by Magistrate Court Judge Wallace Harrell. The point of this hearing was to see whether or not there was enough evidence to actually bring this case to trial. Today, Judge Harrell decided that all three men will indeed go to trial for alleged murder and that there is enough evidence for prosecutors to make a winning case.
This is a great first step towards justice especially in light of all the protests we have seen this past week. While many of the protests were sparked by the murder of George Floyd, Arbery's story has certainly been at the forefront of everyone's mind. With this latest development in the story, it is clear that people's voices are being heard and that a difference is actually being made.
Stay tuned for updates regarding this case as we will be sure to bring them to you.
Boosie Badazz Celebrates 8 Years Since Beating Murder Charge
Eight years ago, Boosie’s life changed as he was found not guilty of murder, a milestone he celebrates on social media today.
Though Boosie Badazz has developed a reputation as one of, if not these, funniest rappers in the game (though his unapologetic takes certainly aren’t for the faint of heart), it shouldn’t be forgotten that the man is considered an OG for a reason. There’s no disputing that Boosie has developed his own code throughout the years, and has no qualms with speaking his mind when the occasion calls for it.

Today, the fan-favorite rapper has taken a moment to reflect on a major life milestone, one that might have altered his fate completely had it gone another way. Eight years ago, the rapper was found not guilty in a murder trial, which transpired following the death of a man named Terry Boyd. Had he been convicted, Boosie would be facing the death penalty. It should be noted that while Boosie did beat the murder charge, he was incarcerated on several drug charges, which pushed his prison time total to five years served.
Given all the antics that Boosie has since provided, including an upcoming and sure-to-be out of control reality series called Badazz Boosie, it’s hard to imagine what might have been. In any case, it’s clear that Boosie is grateful for his second chance, offering up one word on his Instagram page: “Solid.” Can you imagine the game without Boosie Badazz in it? Hip-hop social media would never be the same.
YNW Melly Ordered To Remain In Prison Despite Contracting COVID-19
YNW Melly has contracted coronavirus in prison as he awaits his double murder trial.
YNW Melly will have to stay behind bars, even though he allegedly tested positive for coronavirus. TMZ reports that a judge has finally ruled on his request to be released from prison as he awaits trial for his double murder case. The judge ultimately denied his motion and ordered the rapper to stay inside Broward County Jail.
Weeks earlier, his mother initially stated that coronavirus had prevented his release, but just a few weeks after that, his lawyer revealed that he had tested positive for coronavirus. The rapper had been suffering from symptoms relating to the virus such as fever, heavy breathing, body pains, and headaches. He had pleaded with the judge to release him on house arrest, even offering to pay to be accepted into a medical facility. Melly argued that the prison facilities weren’t well equipped with adequate protection and care to treat him.
If Melly does want to get medical treatment in jail, the judge did say that he can speak to the Broward Sheriff’s Office for arrangements.
Melly’s lawyer previously issued a statement after the rapper had tested positive, claiming that the “223” rapper was dying behind bars. The rapper is still feeling the symptoms of the coronavirus, according to sources close to the rapper, especially the difficulties with his breathing. We’ll keep you posted on anymore updates.
Nipsey Hussle Accused Of Acting "Untouchable" By Gang Members In Doc
Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed almost a year ago, and L.A. gang members were interviewed for a new BBC documentary that explores the rapper's murder.
It seems unbelievable that we're approaching the one-year anniversary of the murder of Nipsey Hussle in just four days. Since news first circulated that the beloved rapper had been gunned down in a callous shooting in front of his Marathon Clothing store, there have been rumors regarding what led up to Nipsey's final moments. His alleged killer, Eric Holder, has remained behind bars for the better part of a year. As we near the start date of his trial, BBC Threedocumentary The Mysterious Murder of Nipsey Hussle suggests that the rapper was killed for ignoring street rules.

Filmmaker Ben Zand not only interviewed Los Angeles Police Department officials, but he also spoke to members of the community where Nipsey grew up. A man named Sedrick from the Eight Tray Gangster Crips in L.A. weighed in with his thoughts on why Nipsey was killed. “Nipsey was stupid, he was stupid,” the gang member and local businessman said. “He didn’t have—his gang didn’t protect him and they wasn’t going to protect him when he got that money.”
Sedrick added that it wasn't surprising that Nipsey Hussle became a target, especially when his fame reached new heights. "It’s too risky, there’s too many dudes that aren’t gonna like you," he added. "Nipsey for one, he should have never been at that store without security. He thought he was untouchable.” Sedrick reportedly also touched on the rumors that Eric Holder was called a "snitch" before the shooting. “That’s the worst thing you can say,” he said. "You gotta go kill that n***** man, I’ll call you if you call me a snitch and I ain’t a snitch.” Watch clips from The Mysterious Murder of Nipsey Hussle documentary below.
Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Killer’s Trial Date Revealed
Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer, Eric Holder, will likely be tried before the end of March as we near the one-year anniversary of the rapper’s murder.
As we near the one-year anniversary of the death of Nipsey Hussle, the highly-celebrated Los Angeles rapper, the murder trial for his alleged killer Eric Holder is reportedly about to begin. Many people have been wondering when we can expect to have a verdict in the case surrounding Eric Holder, the man accused of pulling the trigger on the late Ermias Asghedom, professionally known as Nipsey Hussle, outside of his The Marathon Clothing shop. Those answers have officially been provided as, according to a report by The New York Daily News, he will be going on trial before April.
Eric Holder was in court this week when Judge Robert Perry outlined the timeline going forward, giving a suggested end date for the trial. “Mr. Holder, as you know, this is an important case and a serious case. These cases take time to get ready for trial. You have the right to a speedy trial,” said Judge Perry to the accused killer, specifying that they are trying to facilitate an end date of April 14.

“Are you OK that we continue this case, and you come back on March 18 and we do our best to start your trial within 30 days. Are you OK with that?” asked the Judge, to which Holder replied with a simple “Yeah.”
The alleged killer was wearing a yellow jumpsuit and was shackled from the waist according to the report. He apparently did not say anything else for the remainder of the hearing.
Holder had previously appealed his murder charges, to which the Judge shut him down and decided to go to trial. How do you think this will end?
