Lil Uzi Vert is an open book. The rollout for Eternal Atake entailed Uzi sharing all his whims on Twitter and then acting on them. Considering how constrained by label issues he appeared to be in the past, it's exciting to see Uzi maneuver as he pleases. However, the release of his long-awaited sophomore album has also largely involved the input of his fans. The Philly rapper has been interacting with them on Twitter for this past week, hyping them up and answering questions.
The Eternal Atake rollout is not over. The same day as its surprise release (Mar. 6), Uzi teased that the album's deluxe version is on the way. He tweeted all the artists he hopes to bring on board asking if they're ready. The list included Future, Lil Baby, Young Thug, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie. While he selected these guest features himself, he's seeking the advice of his fans regarding which songs should be added to the tracklist.

Fans are pulling inspiration from Uzi's previously previewed and leaked songs. One in particular that was heavily requested is "Myron", which was teased in a video of Uzi dancing to it back in 2018. It's produced by Working On Dying and had surfaced online under the title "Bonnie & Clyde". It was proven that "Myron" will finally gets its official release in a video Uzi just shared recording his ad-libs for the track. Uzi has also taken the suggestion of including "Jellybean" (aka "Kobe Rollie"), which boasts production by Pi'erre Bourne.
Fans are also proposing other artists that should appear on the revamped project. Unsurprisingly, Playboi Carti was one of them. However, Uzi claimed he "don’t know where he at," raising concerns that there is still a riff between them.
Uzi insists that Eternal Atake (Deluxe) will arrive at some point this week. Some fans are doubting the likelihood of this, but Uzi assures that his new alter-ego, Baby Pluto, NEVER lies. The standard version arrived as promised, so why shouldn't we have faith in him?
Justin Bieber Forced To Downsize Stadium Tour Venues
Justin Bieber was forced to switch eight of his "Changes" stadium tour stops to arena venues due to low ticket sales, likely affected by the Coronavirus.
Justin Bieber and his team made the "hard decision" of downsizing eight stops on his Changes 45-date stadium tour to instead take place in arena locations, after the Coronavirus scare appears to have had a negative effect on ticket sales in select markets. Justin first announced the Changes tour on Christmas Eve, far ahead of the release of the title project, which marks his first album in five years. While there was no indication of the venue changes on Justin's official social media accounts, eight arenas in different cities across the United States announced that his show had been moved to their venue from the initial stadium location due to "unforeseen circumstances."
According to Variety, close sources noted that Justin and his team had to make the "hard decision" of downsizing locations due to low ticket sales. Unsurprisingly, the weak turnout occurred in markets in which tickets went on sale just days before the Coronavirus hit the U.S. His team realized that sales were unlikely to improve in these cities, considering festivals like South by Southwest have been cancelled due to health concerns surrounding the spread of Coronavirus, so they ultimately made the business decision to move certain stops to an arena in order to avoid the financial burden of paying off a stadium.

June 27th (formerly July 2nd) - Houston - Toyota Center
June 28th (formerly June 27th) - Dallas - American Airlines Center
July 11th - Nashville - Bridgestone Arena
August 8th - Columbus, OH - Schottenstein Center
August 14th - Indianapolis - Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse
August 21st - Washington, DC Capitol One Arena
August 30th (formerly August 29th) - Detroit - Little Caesars Arena
Drake Uses Jolly Rancher Metaphor To Express His Struggles
Drake gets mysterious on the Gram again while referencing recent losses.
While Drake is brutally honest in his songs, he has a tendency to get mysterious on social media. Remember his 2015 Instagram post with “thoughts brought to you by the shaky warrior”? What was up with that? People are still unpacking it to this very day. Drizzy got in one of these moods early Saturday morning (Mar. 7) when sharing an IG story that is… so metaphorical.
He compares the recent roadblocks in his life to an unfortunate Jolly Rancher-related scenario. Over an image taken in a dark vehicle driving through the night, the shaky warrior wrote: “I had a crazy few days where I feel like I can’t win… then I just opened a cherry jolly rancher and it dropped on the floor of the car… then I looked in the pack and realized that was the last cherry one and it was just a down moment that summed up a series of tough moments and I felt like ok I get it this is my L’s I gotta take in sequence… and then I turned my iPhone light on and realized a watermelon was a cherry so I got one… blessings to all y’all it’s always there you just gotta find it.”

So, what started out as a rather bleak message took a hopeful turn in the end. We don’t know what “L’s” Drake is referring to, but his track record proves he will always come out on top. Life Is Good. Anyway, is he even right about the cherry Jolly Rancher being the best flavour?
Statik Selektah’s "The Balancing Act" Features Nas, Griselda & More
Statik Selektah has linked with Mass Appeal to release “The Balancing Act,” featuring Nas, Griselda, 2 Chainz, and more.
Hip-hop fans have become accustomed to one thing from Statik Selektah, and that’s quality. In fact, there are some who might even feel comfortable naming him one of the game’s most consistent producers, having laced beats for Mac Miller, Royce Da 5’9″, Action Bronson, Freddie Gibbs, KXNG Crooked, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Mick Jenkins and countless more. Now, it has been confirmed that Statik is gearing up to drop off a new full-length album called The Balancing Act, which arrives in partnership with Mass Appeal.

The project will be arriving this summer complete with features from Nas, Griselda, 2 Chainz, Dave East, Joey Bada$$, and Method Man. At this stage, he’s still in the process of “rounding out the album,” and that “it will get even more special.” Speaking on the partnership, Statik opened up about his decision to link with Mass Appeal, citing their dedication to hip-hop culture as a deciding factor. “Mass Appeal and I have always seen eye to eye with how hip-hop should be represented, and this album is another chapter in that,” he explained to Billboard.
As of now, there’s no indication as to what the music will sound like, but his recent collaborative project with Paul Wall (Give Thanks, appropriately released on Thanksgiving) was strong across the board. And if not for anything, the idea of hearing some new bars from legends Method Man and Nas is enough to pique interest, especially if the old head energy runs strong. Look for The Balancing Act to arrive this summer, release date forthcoming.

Lil Wayne Shares "Mama Mia" Video Teaser, Details Admiration For Kobe
Lil Wayne paid homage to the late Kobe Bryant on "Funeral" but in a recent interview, he explained what exactly he admired about the late NBA legend.
Lil Wayne Funeralarrived just a week after the passing of Kobe Bryant in January. The rapper had always called Kobe his favorite, putting the late Laker legend ahead of Michael Jordan on his personal list. Wayne paid homage on Funeral in two different ways. He made the tracklist 24 songs long with track eight, "Bing James," holding a 24 second moment of silence -- both in tribute to Kobe's jersey numbers.
In a recent interview with Lil Wayne, the rapper detailed his admiration for Kobe in totality. Explaining that his last encounter was the most memorable, Lil Wayne said Kobe was the same on-and-off the court, applying the Mamba Mentality to not only being a great player but an even better person.
"I think the main thing for me is, what I admire the most is how it evolved,” he said in regards to Kobe's legacy. “He became a champion. It’s very hard to become a champion. Not to mention, he did it again—not to mention, he did it again—not to mention, he did it again and then again.”
Wayne also shared a preview of the upcoming video for "Mama Mia" which is scheduled to drop on Saturday morning at 8 a.m.. Peep the clips from the interview below and check out the HNHH review of Funeral here.
Lil Baby Puts In Work On Funkmaster Flex Freestyle
Lil Baby proves that anybody can and will get it on his new Funkmaster Flex freestyle.
There’s an ongoing myth that the new generation of artists has abandoned the lost art of freestyle, but Lil Baby is looking to dispel that narrative with a new Funkmaster Flex freestyle. At this point, I have probably made some variation of the “Flex dines on bars for sustenance” joke in — quite possibly, the entirety of my Funk Flex-related repertoire. So in the honor of tradition, it’s dinner time. Though he’s not quite the archetypical radio freestyle emcee, Lil Baby has once again come through to prove the naysayers wrong.

Paras Griffin/Getty Images
Last time we saw Lil Baby sit down for some Funkmaster Flex bars, it was November of 2018 — his edition was the 118th installment of the long-running segment. Though last time failed to deliver the “bars” Flex might have been so coveting, this time finds Baby in a more established and assertive state of mind. He’s currently one of the new school’s artistic trailblazers, and his recent My Turn album continues to earn both spins and acclaim. The mere fact he’s even willing to hold it down in the first place is worthy of respect — but how does he fare on this go-around?
Flow-wise, he’s absolutely deadly off the bat, navigating the chosen banger with confidence and swagger. Before long, he’s firing shots at his alleged mistress and baby mama alike — clearly the man had some things to get off his chest and anybody can get it. “Just spent twenty racks on my kid’s outfit, baby mama bum she ain’t got shit,” he raps, picking up steam. “Why you tell my son that I’m not shit, you know I’m the reason that he got shit.” As per usual, the best bet is to let Flex’s reactions be your guide; look no further than 1:13 for your answer.
Pusha T’s "S.N.I.T.CH" Brought Danger To Clipse Ex-Manager During Incarceration
Pusha T’s “S.N.I.T.C.H” put Anthony “Geezy” Gonzalez in danger while he was in prison.
Pusha T‘s debut album My Name Is My Name exceeded expectations initially set by the rapper who came up alongside his brother as the Clipse. It marked Push’s official venture as a solo artist after the release of mixtapes and stand-out verses. Reuniting with Pharrell on the song, “S.N.I.T.C.H” (an acronym for “Sorry N***a, I’m Tryna Come Home), Pusha T closed out the project on not only a high-note but a personal one as well.
Anthony “Geezy” Gonzalez, the former manager of the Clipse, was locked up at the time the song came out but this became problematic for him inside of the prison. Geezy sat down with Vlad for a detailed conversation about the single but also, the repercussions he was possibly facing because people began to think that he was the subject of the song. Explaining that he didn’t identify any shots against him in the first two verses, it was a particular line in their that he took as a shot against him.
“Covered his own tracks, he didn’t care that
We had a legacy he killed, I got to wear that
Every move we ever made is gettin’ stared at”
“I’m like hold on, ain’t nobody built this legacy but me,” Geezy explained as he recounted his first reaction to the song. “So now I put my manager hat on and sayin’, ‘oh, I get it’. There is so much stuff surrounding people snitching and people doing this and people doing that and as an artist, he got to say something about it. He got to try to play the card of ‘hey, I don’t got nothing to do with this.’ It was well played because he’s very smart.”
Unfortunately, Push’s stand-out outro on MNIMN turned into problems for Geezy. “Other people [inside the prison] are looking at it like the Virginia boys are harboring a rat,” he explained.
