Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green kicked off his new partnership with Converse by debuting the brand's newest G4 basketball sneaker on Thursday night at the Chase Center. Green didn't suit up for the NBA Finals rematch against the Toronto Raptors, but he still put on for Converse by giving sneakerheads their first look at a colorful G4.
Check out the upcoming Converse Basketball sneaker in the IG post embedded below.
Green just recently left Nike, a brand that he has repped since his days at Michigan State, to sign with Converse, joining Phoenix Suns forward Kelly Oubre as the new faces of the brand's resurgent basketball category. As some of you may already know, Nike owns Converse, which means Draymond will still be under The Swoosh's umbrella as he helps usher in the new era of Converse Basketball.
The three-time All Star is currently sidelined with a knee injury, but the belief is that he'll be back on the court any day now. When he does return, it'll be interesting to see which sneaker he laces up in his first game as a Converse athlete.
Nathaniel Woods Executed In Alabama Despite Protests
Nathaniel Woods has been executed in Alabama for the murder of three police officers in 2004, despite pleas of his innocence from activists and his co-defendant.
Nathaniel Woods has been executed in Alabama for the murder of three Birmingham police officers in 2004, despite his co-defendant, Kerry Spencer, pleading Nathaniel’s innocence and activists protesting his execution on social media. According to the states corrections department, Woods was pronounced dead at 9:10pm local time on Thursday, and did not give a final statement. Back in the summer of 2004, police stormed the apartment complex where Woods and Spencer were suspected of dealing drugs. Three officers were shot and killed and another was wounded, and both Woods and Spencer were convicted of capital murder the following year and were both sentenced to death.
However, Spencer has insisted that Woods did not partake in the shooting and subsequent deaths of any of the officers. “Nathaniel Woods is 100% innocent,” Spencer penned in a letter from death row shared by his lawyers. “I know this to be a fact because I’m the person that shot and killed all three of the officers. I pray that my words don’t fall on blind eyes or deaf ears. Don’t allow another innocent man to be executed if you can do something to put a stop to it. This is my most fervent prayer.” Activists have rallied behind Woods and protested his unjust sentence for years, but in the weeks prior to his scheduled execution on Thursday evening, the support for Woods grew immensely on social media. Woods’ lawyers, backed by many concerned civilians, petitioned Alabama Gov. Kay to stay the execution and commute sentence. However, despite a temporary halt ordered by the Supreme Court mere minutes before his execution was slated, the request was ultimately denied. He was executed by lethal injection on Thursday at 42 years old.
LeBron James Goes Full Dad Mode With Bizarre Fart Analogy
LeBron James is getting philosophical now.
LeBron James is a dominant force out on the basketball court and when it comes to social media, he’s just as potent. When he speaks, people tend to listen, for better or for worse. Last night, James had some late night thoughts that he felt were necessary to share with all of his fans out there. In fact, LeBron took to Instagram where he offered up some fresh insight on what love is and how it can actually be compared to, yes, that’s right, flatulence.
“Love is like a fart. If you have to force it, it’s probably shit,” LeBron’s photo read. The basketball star then followed up the photo with a caption, reading: “A lot of Shitty ???folks around here! Be aware! Glad ain’t no forcing around me and mine! Plenty of ????? scents around here!”
With this latest piece of philosophical beauty, LeBron has gone full dad joke mode. Only a father screaming Taco Tuesday at the dinner table would come up with a gem like this. Fans in the comments section seemed pretty confused by it all and the post ended up going viral on social media as it crossed over onto Twitter. It’s yet another case of LeBron’s words being taken as gospel by ravenous fans.
Hopefully for LeBron, he won’t have to force any love in the future.
Dion Waiters Officially Signs With The Lakers
The Lakers are fortifying their roster ahead of the
This season has been very kind to the Los Angeles Lakers as they are currently first place in the Western Conference and have a real chance at winning the championship. One knock against the team this season has been their supposed lack of depth. Over the last few weeks, the Lakers have tried to change this as they have signed players like Markieff Morris. This past week, the team let JR Smith and Dion Waiters try out for the club and yesterday, they made an official decision.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Lakers signed Dion Waiters to a short term deal that will last until the end of the season. In fact, if Waiters doesn't perform up to standard, the Lakers reserve the right to release him at any time. Waiters has had some off the court issues this season and the Lakers are making sure they are protected in case of a disaster.
The Lakers currently boast a record of 47-13 and are four games ahead of the Clippers for first in the Conference. As we head towards the playoffs, players like Waiters will surely be a huge help to a team that needs some extra firepower coming off of the bench.
What do you think of this move for the Lakers? Let us know in the comments, below.
LeBron James Reacts To Steph Curry’s Return To Warriors
Lakers' LeBron James shows love to Warriors' Steph Curry upon his return to the court after missing 58 games.
LeBron James, like many other basketball fans, was thrilled to see two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry back on the court on Thursday night, following a 58 game absence due to a broken left hand. Curry struggled from deep in his return to the court, as he connected on just 3-of-12 from three-point range, but he led the Warriors with 23 points to go along with seven assists and seven rebounds in his 27 minutes of action.
During the game, LeBron took to twitter to show some love to the six-time All Star, tweeting, "Happy to see @StephenCurry30 back out there again! Nothing like being in your sanctuary! The game missed you."
Though Curry obviously still has to shake off some rust, he did show flashes of his electric style of play that Warriors fans have grown accustomed to.
"I was trying to be out there and not think about it," Curry said. "If I needed to make that pass, make it and no hesitation. It was a good feeling, throwing the first one."
"It was a cool vibe, competing like that," he said.
Golden State hung with the Toronto Raptors from wire to wire, but ultimately came up short by the final of 121-113. After the victory, Raptors All Star Kyle Lowry explained what it was like preparing to play in Curry's highly anticipated return.
"Knowing that Steph was coming back, we knew it was going to be a great night, a great atmosphere," Lowry said. "One of the best players in the league was coming back from injury, we were a little more focused and concentrated on him, but coming in here, it's a great regular-season game."
Up next for Curry is a home game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night, which will air on ABC at 8:30pm ET.
Peyton Manning Could Receive Massive Payday From ESPN
Peyton Manning is being scoped out for a potential Monday Night Football gig.
Tony Romo recently got the contract of a lifetime as CBS is now paying him over $17 million per year to be a color commentator on CBS. Romo has been heralded as one of the best analysts of all time thanks to his unique style that teaches people the game in a way that is easy and fun to understand. With this contract in mind, it looks like ESPN is trying to give something similar to none other than Peyton Manning.
The legendary QB retired all the way back in 2016 and fans have been wondering when he would get back in the booth. According to Pro Football Talk, he could be coming to the booth soon as ESPN wants to offer him $20 million per year. In fact, ESPN wants to make a trade with NBC so they can pair him with the broadcasting veteran, Al Michaels.

It remains to be seen of Manning will eventually sign with ESPN although it would be cool if he did. Manning has proven himself to be a humorous guy and he would likely be killer in the broadcast booth. Not to mention, ESPN currently uses Booger McFarland who has been bashed by fans over the past couple of years.
If ESPN were able to secure Manning’s services, Monday Night Football ratings would certainly see a massive increase.
Post Malone Video Has Fans Begging He Gets Help
A video of Post Malone performing on his knees during a concert has gone viral as fans wish he would protect his health... but is he just vibing out?
A few recent videos captured at a Post Malone concert are going viral for the wrong reasons, showing the world-famous performer in the middle of his emotive hit "I Fall Apart," seemingly losing his footing and rolling around on stage while still blurting out the lyrics. People are using the clips as "proof" that the singer should be seeking help, either for alcohol or substance abuse, but the people closest to Malone say he's really just vibing out.
The viral video shows Post Malone singing to the crowd of thousands on his knees before he clumsily stumbles and continues singing while laying on his side. He then gets back to a crouching position and screams his lyrics, which could be unnerving to anybody who has not been to this man's concert before.
All things considered though, this is just the way that Post Malone is. He brings that energy to his stage show every night and the people that are closest to him are not worried about anything going on in the clip. Commenting on DJ Akademiks' post, Malone's manager chimed in.
"All Vibez," said Dre London, co-signing DJ Carnage's message that the Texas-raised rapper was just having fun.
Post Malone is an avid beer drinker, and some are pointing to his alcohol consumption for the behaviour in this video. We're going to say that he was just feeling himself a little hard and decided to get extra emotional for the performance.
Christina Aguilera Dancer Twerks For Michelle Obama At Concert
Michelle Obama gave one of Christina Aguilera’s dances an “air slap” when he stopped to twerk for the former First Lady.
Since the Obamas left the White House, they’ve been living their best lives. While daughters Malia and Sasha Obama complete their higher education, former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle have been enjoying their lives outside of the political spotlight. They’ve shared images themselves of island vacations and recently, Michelle Obama was spotted in Las Vegas singing along to Christina Aguilera jams at the singer’s concert.

According to TMZ, it all went down at Planet Hollywood at the Zappos Theater on Wednesday (March 4) night. While Christina was making her way through the audience, she was flanked by a bevy of her dancers while belting out “Lady Marmalade.” One of them saw the former First Lady and decided to stand in front of her and give a little twerk before moving on.
Michelle took the encounter in stride and kept the party going as she gave a few air slaps and continued grooving in her seat long after he’d left. As fun of a time as she had, Michelle Obama wasn’t in Vegas strictly to see Christina. She regularly makes appearances as a guest speaker and was in Sin City for the Ultimate Software Connections Conference. Check out Michelle’s fun time at Christina Aguilera’s concert below.
Joe Budden Reveals Azealia Banks Was Almost Co-Host Of "State Of The Culture"
Joe Budden and his three "State of the Culture" co-hosts visited "The Breakfast Club" where they chatted about how they all came together.
It would be an interesting sight to see Azealia Banks host a show on Revolt TV, and according to Joe Budden, it almost happened. The State of the Culture co-hosts Joe Budden, Remy Ma, Brandon "Jinx" Jenkins, and Eboni K. Williams made their way to The Breakfast Club where the packed room chatted about the hit Revolt series. Budden was asked about how he and Diddy came up with having four hosts and Budden shared that initially, the first idea was only to have two people.
"The original idea was two," Budden said. "Me and another person." Charlamagne challenged the podcast host to say the person's name, but eventually, the radio host just blurts out, "At one point it was Azealia Banks." The reaction in the room was surprise as everyone expressed that it was a visual that was hard for them to imagine.
"In theory, what an amazing idea," added Budden. Someone mumbled, "I wonder how long that would have lasted." Budden replied, "That's what I wanted to create. Something that you would say, 'How long is that gonna last?' That didn't pan out for whatever reason. So then we said, alright, we need three. And then when we were screen-testing the three..." Budden was interrupted but fellow State of the Culture host Brandon "Jinx" Jenkins who joked, "Was I really not supposed to be on this show, sh*t."
Budden continued by saying that during the screen-testing it was obvious that a fourth person needed to be added. Remy chimed in that during the screen-testing they learned that "Rem is just like Joe, she just has a wig on. So it was like, we need four." Check out Budden discussing how he and Diddy came up with the format for State of the Culture below.

Six cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in just 24 hours in Los Angeles County.
A state of emergency has officially been declared in Los Angeles County after six new cases of the virus appeared in just 24 hours. What began as an insignificant disease in Wuhan, China at the end of last year has now reached new levels of massive proportions as confirmed cases of the coronavirus have reached over 90,000 patrons worldwide. Countries like Iran and Italy have struggled immensely to contain the virus and now, United States health officials fear an extensive outbreak within the nation’s borders is imminent. Now, Los Angeles County might be the next major metropolitan city to feel the effects of the deadly virus.

According to ABC News, six Los Angeles residents tested positive for the coronavirus in a span of just 24 hours. One of the six people infected was a medical screener at Los Angeles International airport (LAX) who began to develop flu-like symptoms, visited his doctor, and was diagnosed with the disease. Another citizen allegedly contracted the disease on a California cruise during a trip from Feb. 11-21. According to the cruise line, the Sonoma County resident was experiencing atypical ‘gastrointestinal and cardiovascular symptoms’ before officially testing positive for the coronavirus.
Last week, the first official United States coronavirus death struck Washington. Since then, ten more U.S. citizens have passed away from the virus, bringing the official stateside death toll to a total of eleven civilians. While a vaccine has supposedly been developed for COVID-19, the virus has the potential to send the nation into a panic if it is not promptly contained.
