Candace Owens and Don Lemon have both addressed what Dave Chappelle had to say about them in his new Netflix comedy special, "8:46," about George Floyd's murder and the subsequent protests, and neither of them are too upset about his comments. In his new special, which premiered at midnight on Friday (June 12th), the comedian discusses the police killing of George Floyd and everything that came after, all the while putting a few public figures on blast for how they've handled the situation. One of the targets of Dave's ire was right-wing pundit, Candace Owens, who sparked outrage recently after making disrespectful comments about George Floyd.
"Candace Owens, that rotten b*tch, she’s the worst. I can’t think of a worse way to make money. She’s the most articulate idiot I’ve ever seen in my f*cking life," Dave said, among other critiques he made about her. Candace heard that Dave had brought her up in his special, and insisted on Twitter that she wasn't offended at all.
"To every Democrat tweeting me the clip of #DaveChappelle insulting me: I’m not a leftist. I have a sense of humor & I think comedians SHOULD make fun of people," Candace tweeted. "Dave Chappelle is one of the greatest comedians of all time and I made it into one of his specials. That’s POWER!"
"We’ve arrived too suddenly into a culture where people can’t laugh at themselves, or want to restrain comedians," she continued. "I will never be a part of that culture. Dave Chappelle—you are legend and I’d love to meet you and challenge you to say any of that to my face! All love!"
Dave also went after Don Lemon in his special for publicly naming celebrities who had yet to speak out on George Floyd's death at the time. "Do you want to see a celebrity right now?” Dave asked, in response to Don's plea. “Does it matter about celebrity? No, this is the streets talking for themselves, they don’t need me right now…Why would anyone care what their favourite comedian thinks after they saw a police officer kneel on a man’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds?” Don responded to Dave's comments on-air, indicating that, "I actually agree with Dave Chappelle."
"I agree that I think the establishment has been a bit behind—and I consider myself part of the establishment because I am over 40 years old," Don said. "They think that part of the world that we created and what we did, maybe we didn't move fast enough and we weren't strong enough and so they are out there fighting...I think they're not only speaking to the white people in this country, but also to all of us in the establishment. I think it's a moment we should all be using our platform to do whatever we can."
Elsewhere in his Netflix special, Dave took aim at Fox News host Laura Ingraham for her hypocrisy in supporting Drew Brees speaking out on politics but telling LeBron James to "shut up and dribble" back in 2018.
Amanda Seales Schools Terry Crews On Black Supremacy Tweet
Amanda Seales responds to Terry Crews' "Black Supremacy" remarks on Twitter.
Amanda Seales has spoken out against the controversial statement Terry Crews made on Twitter. It read "Defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy. Equality is the truth. Like it or not, we are all in this together." Reminiscent of his attempt to contradict Gabrielle Union’s claims of discrimination on America’s Got Talent, Crews is once again under fire for his comments.
“How did none of y’all tell me what Terry Crews was over there doing last night?” Seales asked her Instagram followers this morning, referring to Crews’ recent tweet.

She then took to Twitter to set the record straight.
"Just so we're clear: 1: there is no such thing as BLACK SUPREMACY. Liberation from an oppressive system is not rooted in a desire to BECOME the oppressive system," Seales started.
Seales continued her thoughts in a thread: “2: yes, there are people who attempt to measure blackness according to diff methods. My bottom line is EVERY black experience IS a black experience UNLESS it is ANTI-black.”
“3: @terrycrews tweets and previous actions are a demonstration of anti-blackness,” said Seales. “When you use yourself in any way to obstruct the truth of another black person's PRO-BLACK experience you are a coon. He did that with Gab and he's doing that with this movement.”
She concluded the thread with a fourth tweet: “4: A lotta my fellow celebs need their phones taken away and replaced with books. You're not playing a role. You're a role model. We must know our history better than we know their scripts.✊?”
Several individuals have emerged to offer criticism against Crews’ remarks. “I love you as a friend Brother Terry. But I disagree with you 100 %. No such thing as Black Supremacy. That is a tactic that Racist whites use to counteract our rebellion to their horrific treatment of us. It's called Gas lighting. Black pride isn't anti white,” tweeted @GodfreyComedian.
Even Crews’ former castmates from Everybody Hates Chris have put on statements in response to his statement on Twitter. "I’m not trying to call you out @terrycrews. You know it’s all love always ❤️. But we’re rightfully angry right now and fed up with anyone not with our cause wholeheartedly. I don’t want to see that energy pointed your way or diverted from the cause," said @TylerJamesWill who acted the part of the main character, Chris.
@TheOrlandoJones, who played Crews' son, tweeted,“Black supremacy? We represent 13% of US population, hold no institutional power & gaslight our coworkers. We got 99 problems and your math isn't the only 1. #StrongerTogether.”
What do you think about Terry Crews’ tweet? Let us know in the comments. Check out Amanda Seales' reaction in the tweets below.
Jeff Bezos Responds To Amazon Customer’s Complaint About Black Lives Matter
Jeff Bezos issued a public response to an email he received from a customer complaining that the Amazon website had a Black Lives Matter banner.
Jeff Bezos is not budging on his belief that, yes, Black Lives DO Matter, no matter how outraged some Amazon customers may be about his stance. On Friday (June 5th), the certified richest man alive took to Instagram to issue a public response to an email he received from Macy, a woman who had recently visited the Amazon website and was disappointed to see a banner that read, “Black Lives Matter.”
In the email, Macy, whose last name has been omitted, begins her correspondence by indicting that she found it “quite disturbing to get on the AMAZON website and see ‘BLACK LIVES MATTER.'” She then explains why she finds this offensive. “You provide services to more than millions of people,” she noted. “Including my self and the rest of my family for our business needs and personal purchases. I am for everyone voicing their opinions and standing up for what you believe in, but for your company to blast this on your website is very offensive to me and I’m sure you’ll be hearing from others. ALL LIVES MATTER!”
She finished the email with a question for Jeff: “And if it wasn’t for all these lives providing their service to you and your company, where would Amazon be today?” Jeff shared his response in the next slide, which begins by telling Macy, “I have to disagree with you.”

“‘Black lives matter’ doesn’t mean other lives don’t matter,” he wrote. “Black lives matter speaks to racism and the disproportionate risk that Black people face in our law enforcement and justice system. I have a 20-year-old son, and I simply don’t worry that he might be choked to death while being detained one day. It’s not something I worry about. Black parents can’t say the same. None of this is intended to dismiss or minimize the very real worries you or anyone else might have in their own life, but I want you to know I support this movement that we see happening all around us, and my stance won’t change.”
He finished the post with a screenshot of the Amazon website, which includes a message that reads, “Amazon stands in solidarity with the Black community.”
Tiffany Haddish Responds To George Floyd Memorial Backlash
Tiffany Haddish broke her silence on the backlash she received for her behaviour at George Floyd’s memorial service.
Tiffany Haddish gave the perfect response to all the noise about her conduct at George Floyd’s memorial service, in which she supposedly shifted the spotlight onto herself. On Thursday (June 4th), hundreds gathered at a chapel in Minneapolis to honour the late George Floyd, whose recent murder at the hands of the police set off protests across the country and around the world against police brutality and systemic racism. Many celebrities were in attendance, including rappers like T.I. and Ludacris as well as comedians like Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish.
At one point during his moving speech, Rev. Al Sharpton decided to take a moment to acknowledge all the celebrity attendees. When it was brought to his attention that he forgot to mention Tiffany, it appeared that he hadn’t even realized she was present. "Is Tiffany here?" he asked, to which her muffled voice could be heard responding.
The moment garnered a ton of backlash, some criticizing Tiffany for supposedly “centering” herself at a memorial service, especially considering the circumstances of the deceased’s death. Others found it strange that Sharpton was even giving shout outs to the famous folks in the room in the first place. Regardless of the reason, Tiffany decided that she had to speak on this collective outrage and steer the focus back to what’s really important.

“I usually don’t give space to the bullsh*t that some people spew about me, not today,” she tweeted on Thursday night. “We are in the middle of the fight for our lives. I was blessed and honored to be asked to attend the memorial service of George Floyd, our brother, who was murdered, which led us to this moment.”
“Please don’t squander this critical moment to make sh*t up about me,” she continued. “Channel that energy into important work…like honoring our fallen brothers and sisters and stopping this horrible cycle once and for all.”

Kylie Jenner Responds To Forbes’ Claim That She’s No Longer A Billionaire
Kylie Jenner called out Forbes for their "inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions" regarding their reporting on her losing her billionaire status.
Kylie Jenner is in disbelief after Forbes reported that she is no longer a billionaire and is wrapped up in a "web of lies." Last year, Kylie was declared “The Youngest Self-Made Billionaire Ever" by Forbes after selling a stake of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty Inc., valuing her company at $1.2 billion. However, on Friday (May 29th), the business publication accused Kylie of "lying about company figures and forging tax returns," thus "exaggerating" her wealth.

Kylie later responded on Twitter to the publication's claims shortly after the piece dropped. "What am i even waking up to," she wrote. "I thought this was a reputable site.. all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol. i’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period."
"'Even creating tax returns that were likely forged' that’s your proof?" she continued. "So you just THOUGHT they were forged? like actually what am i reading."
However, Kylie's not going to dwell on the alleged inaccuracies in the Forbes' article. "But okay," she wrote. "She i am blessed beyond my years, i have a beautiful daughter, and a successful business and i’m doing perfectly fine." She also pointed out that there is "a list of 100 things more important right now than fixating on how much money i have" and that "this is literally the LAST thing i’m worried about right now."

Hilary Duff Shuts Down "Disgusting" Child Sex Trafficking Accusations
Hilary Duff responded to the child sex trafficking conspiracy theory about her, calling the accusations "garbage" and "disgusting."
Hilary Duff has made it clear that she is appalled by the accusations that she is engaging in child sex trafficking with her own son. Over the weekend, a wild conspiracy theory spread after Hilary accidentally posted a photo of her 8-year-old son, Luca, fully nude. The actress promptly deleted the post once she was made aware, and later censored the same photo while showing her followers some family photos.

"Someone pointed out on Instagram that I did a nude of him, which I did, so we covered that up with a sticker," she explained in the video. However, some Twitter users spun the situation into "proof" that Hilary was participating in child sex trafficking, and that by sharing the nude photo in the first place, she was sending out some kind of signal to predators. It's important to note that there is absolutely no evidence of these claims.
It didn't take long for Hilary's name to start trending due to this conspiracy theory, and finally, she had to address the allegations. "Everyone bored af right now I know," she tweeted, "but this is actually disgusting."
"Whoever dreamed this one up and put this garbage into the universe should take a break from their damn phone," she continued. "Maybe get a hobby." Her current husband, Matthew Koma, supported her statement, retweeting it and writing, "This."
Hilary and Matthew have a 1-year-old daughter, Banks Violet Bair, together, and she shares Luca with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie, a former Canadian hockey player.
Doja Cat Confuses Fans After Giving Odd Response To Lana Del Rey
Doja Cat was the first of the artists mentioned in Lana Del Rey's controversial letter to respond to the songstress, but fans don't quite know what she's saying.
Doja Cat pulled a post-and-delete on Lana Del Rey's open letter to "the culture," in which the alt-pop singer singled out Doja among other female artists for getting away with certain lyrical content that she hasn't previously been afforded the freedom to explore. After posting the letter on Thursday (May 21st), Lana received a massive wave of backlash. She seemed to be insinuating that while she had received criticism over the years for supposedly "glamorizing abuse" in her music by singing about unhealthy relationships, "now" other women like Doja, as well as Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, and Beyoncé are being celebrated for embracing their sexuality in music.
While many came to the defense of the women named, it appears as though none of them have issued any kind of response to her statement except Doja. Shortly after Lana shared the post, Doja left a comment saying "gang sunk that dunker."
It was quickly deleted, but not before pop culture news account @PopCrave managed to get a screenshot of the odd comment. Doja's seemingly nonsensical remark has been leaving plenty of folks confused—some say it was Doja's way of calling on her fans to give Lana sh*t, while others insist it's a basketball reference that loosely translates to "points were made." Still, others interpreted it as a more polite way of saying "suck my d*ck."

While Doja may have deleted her comment, she decided to change her Twitter name to "GANG" and post part of the phrase in a tweet, asking her followers to fill-in-the-blank.
Future’s Baby Mama Breaks Silence On His "Abuse" After Filing New Lawsuit
Future’s recently confirmed baby mama, Eliza Reign, spoke out about their ongoing legal battle after the rapper went on a tweet spree about “ugly girls.”
Eliza Reign, who recently proved that Future is in fact the father of her child following a strenuous paternity case, has spoken out about her lawsuit against the rapper after he tweeted a series of messages that appeared to be directed at her. After Future was finally confirmed to be Eliza’s baby daddy earlier this month, she countersued him for libel, slander, and emotional distress against his initial defamation suit that had been mostly dismissed by the judge. In her countersuit, Eliza accused Future of hurling deaths threats at her over text and even attempting to coerce her into having an abortion.

Earlier today, Future shared a number of tweets about some lessons he’s learned, warning his followers not to make the same mistakes he did and advising them to avoid “ugly girls.” The remarks appeared to be in regards to his past with Eliza, whom he did admit to having a sexual relationship with despite denying her paternity claims. Shortly after his tweet spree, Eliza issued a statement on her IG story about their legal battle, even seemingly addressing him appearing to have called her “ugly.”
“In all seriousness,” she wrote, “as women, we must stick together and stand strong against abuse of any kind. I’m not perfect. I’m a work in progress. We all are. But we all are beautiful, even when we fall short of other people’s expectations. Beauty shown the best from the inside. Don’t let no one, man or woman, make you feel less than or that you don’t deserve everything you have and pray for.”
“War is not cute,” she continued. “I don’t wanna wake up to filings and lawsuits daily. Especially over an innocent child. I miss the peace that I once had. But I also have to do what I have to do to defend myself and my children. In America, we need to get over this culture of us women accepting abuse in silence. Because you are a woman or have less fame, power, and money, you should just shut up. We are stronger than we know.” Future has yet to respond to her comments.
Ludacris Comments On R. Kelly Lyric Following Backlash
Ludacris speaks on R. Kelly lyrics he dropped during the recent Instagram Live battle he had with Nelly.
Ludacris has been heavy in the news, thanks to a Verzuz Instagram Live battle that went down over the weekend between the ATL OG and fellow OG, Nelly. The IG Live brought in plenty of eyeballs, and ended up sparking some debate and criticism on Luda’s side when he previewed some lyrics referencing the infamous R. Kelly.
R. Kelly has gone from certified legend to certified disgrace, with the music industry finally waking up to his many sexual assault claims– they had no choice really, considering the mounting evidence that came to light during the release of the Lifetime documentary, Surviving R. Kelly, and beyond.
During the beginning of the IG Live battle, Luda took some time to preview an unreleased collaboration with Lil Wayne. He was heard rapping on the song, “the world screwed if n*ggas pouring drinks like Bill Huxtable.” And then, “I love R. Kelly but around my daughters, I’m not comfortable.”
Following the backlash, Luda spoke to Atlanta radio station V103 on the lyric in question. In a video clip from the interview captured below, Luda clarifies, “Sometimes when you speak on records, you speakin’ like it’s just me and you having a conversation. But you just speaking, and just being honest. I saw that a lot of people kind of misconstrued or just didn’t understand what I’m saying.”
He clarifies that as much as he enjoys R. Kelly’s music, he wouldn’t tolerate the man around his children given his past. It’s as simple as that.
Check out the clip below. In the meantime, we’re waiting on his collaboration with Eminem to come to fruition.
