Famous battle rapper Serius Jones has been kept behind bars for several months now on charges of human trafficking and pimping, among others. According to a report by The Mercery News on Monday (June 1st), Serius, born Saleem Bligen, was charged in January of this year before he was arrested by Walnut Creek police on February 6th. The eight-count criminal complaint filed against Serius includes charges of human trafficking, pimping, assault, robbery, and other felonies.

The records indicate that one alleged victim, referred to as Jane Doe to protect her identity, has accused Serius of “willfully and unlawfully depriv[ing] and/or violate [her] personal liberty” by “forcing her into prostitution” from July 31st and October 15th, 2019. The report also claims that on October 15th, Serious allegedly “assaulted” this same woman “by means likely to produce great bodily injury.” It is also alleged that he stole her 2007 Lexus and threatened her in an attempt to dissuade her from cooperating with police the next day.

Following his arrest, a GoFundMe, which claimed that Serius had been arrested for “a false accusation of a stolen vehicle” with no mention of any further charges, was set up to cover his legal fees. However, after raising just $110, the page was taken down. Serius has pleaded not guilty to all of these charges, and has a court date scheduled for August.

Fans might remember Serius Jones from his success on the MTV freestyle battle rap series, Fight Klub. He went on to launch a rap career of his own after he was declared the all-time Fight Klub Champion.
