The Darkness Announce Surprise ‘Crock Of Hits’ Show at London’s Moth Club
The Darkness have announced a surprise intimate show at London’s Moth Club. The band, led by frontman Justin Hawkins, will take to the stage on September 17 for a special performance dubbed “Crock Of Hits.”
Announcing the news on Instagram, the band shared their excitement for the upcoming date: “The first rule of Moth Club is, don’t fly into the lightbulb. Just kidding – nocturnal Lepidoptera rejoice! We’re coming to play at the Moth Club. That thing about burning yourself to a crisp is more of a guideline than a rule, so come celebrate The Darkness on this special night and listen upon our works ye mighty and rejoice!”

The band described the setlist as a “best of” collection curated by the members themselves, promising an evening of aural splendour. This intimate gig arrives ahead of the group’s major UK arena tour in support of their 2025 album, Dreams On Toast, which is scheduled to kick off in December.
The performance at Moth Club is particularly significant given the venue’s ongoing battle to survive. The independent space has faced threats from proposed planning applications for residential developments nearby, sparking a massive campaign of opposition from music fans and the Music Venue Trust, who have warned that the loss of such a venue would pose an “existential threat” to the grassroots circuit.
Tickets for the “Crock Of Hits” show will be available via presale starting at 10am on Tuesday (September 8), with the general sale following on Thursday (September 10).
