Tim Tebow was a polarizing figure when he was in the NFL. The former Denver Broncos quarterback wasn't very good at throwing the football but he somehow found ways to win games with his legs and leadership qualities. In fact, Tebow won a playoff game in his first season as a starting quarterback. Eventually, Tebow was phased out of the league as no team wanted to give him a chance. Tebow went on to become a college football analyst which is a title he holds to this day. Perhaps his most interesting endeavor, however, came a couple of years ago when he chased his dream of playing Major League Baseball.
Tebow is still at it and is part of the New York Mets system. While he typically plays with their farm team, Tebow has been on the main roster for Spring training. During a game against the St. Louis Cardinals, Tebow had a chance to end the game with a fielded fly ball. Instead, Tebow was thrust into disaster as he tripped over his shoelace and dropped the ball, literally.
Luckily for Tebow and the Mets, they still won the game 3-2. It was a pretty horrible mistake that will surely make baseball fans roll their eyes. There has been a lot of skepticism over Tebow's foray into baseball and this particular play won't do him any favors.
After this recent performance, it's looking unlikely that he will get any playing time in the Majors.
Tim Tebow Has Reportedly Engaged In Talks With The XFL
Tim Tebow hasn’t played professional football in a very long time.
Tim Tebow was one of the most controversial quarterbacks in the NFL when he played for the Denver Broncos. He wasn’t controversial for any sort of misconduct. In fact, it was his play that made him the polarizing figure he is today. Simply put, Tebow wasn’t very good at throwing the football. However, he was able to run the ball extremely well and was always able to find unique ways to win. Regardless, he was ousted from the league after a few seasons of mediocrity and hasn’t been back on the field, ever since.
Now, Tebow is looking to become a professional baseball player and realize a dream he’s had since he was a kid. According to Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, Tebow recently reconsidered his baseball goals and even reached out to the XFL. After some preliminary talks, Tebow realized it would be better to return to baseball although he quite complimentary of the new league.

Per Tebow:
“We had a couple conversations. But it was pretty clear that this was — I love what they’re doing. I think it has a chance to have success. And I think that’s great. And so I think there needs to be a place for a lot of players that are really good and should and could be playing in the NFL and are better than a lot of NFL players. And there’s a chance they’re going to be seen. So I think it’s awesome and I think it’s good for a lot of guys that are going to get a spot on an NFL roster because they’re going show a team that they’re worth it. But for me this is what I wanted to do and pursuit it and be all in and just, yeah.”
If Tebow has a change of heart and quits baseball, the XFL could certainly be a great option for him, especially if the league is able to continue past this season.
Tim Tebow Marries Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters In South Africa
“All of my dreams have come true. It was 100 percent worth the wait.”
Former NFL QB Tim Tebow and 2017’s Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters are officially husband and wife following their wedding at the La Paris Estate in Cape Town, South Africa. According to People Magazine, the 30-minute ceremony was attended by over 250 guests.
“I’ve been looking forward to three things,” said Tebow, according to People. “The first moment I see her in her wedding dress, the first kiss, and the first dance together as man and wife. It’s such a special night.”
“I’ve been waiting my entire life for someone special, who I can spend the rest of my life with. I was waiting for the right person to come along. And now I’m marrying Demi. I can’t wait to see what our future holds. All of my dreams have come true. It was 100 percent worth the wait.”
Nel-Peters told PEOPLE:
“We’re both very traditional. We wanted to look back at the wedding and see that it was intimate, elegant, and traditional. We definitely wanted it to be something that we could look back on and know that nothing was dated. We want to remember this day for the rest of our lives.”
As for the wedding cake, the couple reportedly opted for a “keto-friendly” cheesecake so Tebow didn’t have to stray from his diet.
