For the first few months of her life, Kulture Kiari Cephus' appearance was kept a secret from fans of Cardi B and Offset. The 1-year-old daughter of the celebrity couple was covered with emojis or not posted at all as the rappers made it their priority to protect her from the media vultures they both love to bash. Living in the public eye, and especially keeping a healthy relationship in it, can be excruciatingly difficult. Cardi and Set have been through their fair share of dramatic ordeals but, at this stage of their lives, the tide has calmed and nothing has affected their bond in a minute. Still though, Mama Bear Bardi feels a need to shield her daughter from the critics, clapping back at a hater on Twitter after the toddler's looks were called into question.

I don't know what kind of adult is comfortable bashing children online for their looks but, damn, y'all gotta really chill out here. Cardi B caught wind of a woman on her page who was talking trash about her daughter, saying that Kulture is "not the cutest." That warranted a response from the protective 27-year-old.
"My daughter is very much the cutest bitch so sit down with your overgrown gums," wrote the songstress in response, bringing her own ammo to the fight. "You lucky I am a change woman [sic] I woulda violated your kids so bad you would hate your baby father for makin them. Don't try my kid," she added in a second, since-deleted tweet.
While she got rid of the evidence of the aforementioned posts, she kept one photo of her daughter up for the world to marvel at her beauty, asking "who ain't cute" in the caption.
The Game Warns Rappers To Stay Independent
The Game goes on passionate Twitter rant imploring artists to avoid major labels at all cost, reiterating the importance of ownership.
The Game has been around for nearly twenty years, having spent time at his fair share of record labels: Aftermath, E1, Geffen, Interscope, and many smaller subsidiaries. With nine studio albums under his belt, Game has earned the right to drop gems and lead by example. It's no secret that the music industry landscape has shifted to a drastic degree, with the arrival of streaming having a major impact on record deals. Not to mention the rise of social media as a promotional platform -- one that lends artists a refreshing amount of control. And yet many young rappers have still fallen prey to predatory record deals.
Evidently, Game has had it up to here. He recently took to Twitter to fire off a passionate warning to any young artist looking to sustain a lucrative and long-lasting career. "This rap shit will KILL YOU. Literally," he begins. "The labels sign young artists to slave deals & their only concern is how they can use you to make more money. They don’t even advertise or market you no more, they let u do it yourself on IG while they sit back, steal & wait 4 the next you. Stay INDEPENDENT. OWN your masters. Do the work yourself & the payoff will be worth it. Almost 20 years in music & not once did anyone tell me this. Shit, I’m still waiting on them to tell YOU."
It's unclear as to what prompted his rant, but it's not uncommon to see artists begin to veer away from the major label route. Royce Da 5'9" spoke in-depth about ownership on The Allegory, warning rappers to focus on the art lest their investments fail to last. Russ has continuously preached the importance of self-sustainability, essentially rebranding himself as an independent guru of sorts. Game's point falls somewhere in the middle, his incendiary language emphasizing the importance of acting fast. Otherwise, there's no telling what might happen when that dotted line is signed.
Jordan Peele’s "Hunters" Called Out For Historical Inaccuracies
The Auschwitz Memorial isn’t feeling Jordan Peele’s “Hunters.”
The Jordan Peele-curated Amazon Prime series, Hunters, is catching some heat from the Auschwitz Memorial for a historically inaccurate depiction of an event that never actually occurred during the Holocaust, according to Variety. The show’s opening credits feature several frames from the premiere episode where Nazi soldiers played a game of chess using Jewish prisoners as chess pieces. As each chess piece is eliminated, the Jewish captives are executed on the spot.

The show about a team of American Nazi hunters originally debuted this past Friday (Feb. 21) and was almost instantaneously met with harsh criticism from the Auschwitz Memorial who took to their Twitter account to voice their displeasure with the scene, Tweeting:
“Auschwitz was full of horrible pain & suffering documented in the accounts of survivors. Inventing a fake game of human chess for @huntersonprime is not only dangerous foolishness & caricature. It also welcomes future deniers. We honor the victims by preserving factual accuracy.”
David Weil, the series’ showrunner and creator released a statement of his own this past Sunday (Feb. 24) saying, “symbolic representations provide individuals access to an emotional and symbolic reality that allows us to better understand the experiences of the Shoah.”
Weil also stated that the show “is not a documentary” and “was never purported to be.” He told Business Insider that Hunters was based on an 80-page “bible,” he created five years ago which details each characters’ backstory. Weil’s grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, was his inspiration for the show’s existence.
Hunters is currently available to watch on the Amazon Prime streaming service. Check out the trailer to the series in the video provided below.
Erykah Badu Denies Copying Gwyneth Paltrow With Vagina Incense
Erykah Badu's "Badu's P*ssy" incense recently sold out & critics accused the singer of copying the actress's vagina candle success.
She's been hailed as an innovator who is never a duplicator, so it was important for Erykah Badu to address recent accusations. Earlier this month, Erykah shared with 10 Magazine that she had plans of releasing her own incense with the "superpower" of her vagina. "There’s an urban legend that my p*ssy changes men," Erykah said. “I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them... Even the ash is part of it.” Since she claims to not wear underwear anymore, it wasn't much of a loss.

This news came a month after Gwyneth Paltrow sold out of her $75 "This Smells Like My Vagina" candle. The actress's lady parts made headlines following the news, and soon, Erykah's incense sold out, as well—and in 20 minutes, no less. It didn't take long for people to accuse Erykah of plainly copying Gwyneth after seeing the actress's success. However, Erykah took to Twitter to shut down those rumors by telling the world that she's been working on this for years.
"My incense was not inspired by Gwenith Paltrow," Erykah wrote. "That’s a whole nother kinda pu$ $¥. I been in the lab for years. I stay on my pu$ $¥ muscle hustle." Erykah made sure to show Gwyneth love. "Panties off to Gwen’s candle! we love @goop.” The singer may not have copied Gwyneth, but rest assured, there will be plenty of others who will certainly use their blueprint in the future.
Young M.A Says Music Today Is Imbalanced: "We Need R&B"
Young M.A gives her opinion on the climate of music today, saying that it feels imbalanced due to the lack of quality R&B music being made.
The music industry today is interesting to say the least. One one hand, artists have never been more diverse with the genre-bending hits we've heard over the last decade — emcees sing just as frequently as they spit bars, vocalists often choose trap beats over melodic instrumentation, and some of today's hottest musicians like Post Malone, Trippie Redd and Rico Nasty for example exhibit a style somewhere between rock, rap and heavy metal. With all that said, the love seems to have been lost on popular radio when it comes to good ol' R&B. Or has it?
Rapper Young M.A brought up a good point recently Twitter that sparked an interesting debate. Check out her tweet below to see what started it all:
"Music don’t feel the same because we barely have R&B," the Herstory lyricist wrote to her over 300,000 followers, continuing by adding, "R&B brung that balance to music.. now everything is leanin one way smh so it gets played out quick! We need R&B for the balance no kap! [sic]." Many were quick to agree that a sound that was so prominent in the '90s and early 2000s is deeply missing at the moment, meanwhile others felt the need to call out some of the artists keeping R&B music alive, with names like Jhené Aiko, Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, Brent Faiyaz and newcomer Arin Ray being thrown out as just a few examples. It's worth noting that a lot of those aforementioned names do their own style of soul music, which at times can sample rap, rock and the occasional EDM vibes as well.
Read some of the most interesting responses to Young M.A's tweet below, and let us know your thoughts on the state of music today and if R&B is in fact a missing factor:
Meek Mill Declares 2020 The Year Wack Music Dies
Meek Mill is a true Dream Chaser.
The social media era has saturated the market with tons of artists. Many of them will be here today, gone tomorrow, while very few will actually make a mark in the music industry. However, the state of music today has drawn a lot of criticism from fans, critics, and artists alike. Meek Mill, for example, issued a tweet earlier today declaring the end of wack music. "This year wack music will perish," he wrote on Twitter.
With the rise of the Dream Chaser label, Meek is clearly trying to make some sort of change himself. Meek has obviously been dropping heat throughout his career but with artists like Calboy, who recently dropped his project Long Live The Kings, making strides with the Dream Chaser backing. Meek's also been teasing some new music. He released "Believe" with Justice Timberlake not too long ago and recently shared some snippets of new music.
Although Meek's primary focus is music, he's expanded past that in recent times. Of course, business ventures such as his Lids co-ownership has been keeping him busy but he's also getting ready to make his major acting debut in Charm City Kings. The film's trailer finally debuted last week. The film made its world debut at the Sundance Film Festival last month with it's worldwide release slated for April 17th.
Lil Reese Has Heated Exchange With Twitter Troll
Lil Reese clapped back with a threat after one Twitter fan decided to make fun of him.
Lil Reese is still recovering from a November 2019 shooting that left him hospitalized, sustaining injuries to his vocal cords that have yet to fully heal. Though he currently appears to be in good spirits, it’s likely that Reese will carry both physical and mental scars from his brush with death for the rest of his life. That existential conundrum hasn’t stopped the Chicago rapper from firing off hot Twitter takes, and he did exactly that following Deontay Wilder’s surprising loss to Tyson Fury.
“Wow fury really just beat the man” tweeted Reese, having a laugh at the fighter’s expense. It didn’t take long for one fan to challenge his cavalier position, clapping back with a reminder of a beating Reese previously suffered back in 2013. "When u watched the fight did you have a flashback from when u got yo ass beat?" she asked, which ultimately struck a chord with the man often referred to as "The Grim Reaper."
"Suck my dick bitch people get shot for fuckin wit me dumb ass bitch I ain’t sweet," retaliated Reese, doubling down on the "tears of joy" emoji for added emphasis. Upon receiving support from his fans, Reese seemed to address his decision to take things to such a heated place. "My problem is ion give no fuck and I can't let shit slide." Unfortunately for Reese, neither can his newfangled opponent, who closed things off with a reminder that Reese had in fact neglected to answer the question. Check out the exchange below.
Lil Baby Responds To Alexis Skyy’s Allegations
Alexis Skyy threatened Lil Baby's girlfriend Jayda Cheaves on Twitter this weekend, alleging that she's been messing around with the rapper, and he actually responded.
Things were out of control between Alexis Skyy, Ari Fletcher, and Jayda Cheaves on social media this weekend after Skyy claimed that she paved the way for the latter two to succeed -- a comment that did not sit well with them in the least bit. Jayda, who is Lil Baby's girlfriend, went into attack mode and when she got a little too spicy, Skyy attempted to sit her down by claiming she's having a side fling with the "Drip Too Hard" rapper.

"I suggest you sit TF down b4 I come around & snatch MY N***A back aga... NVM you'll see," wrote Alexis Skyy in response to one of Jayda's comments. She even threatened to drop receipts on the matter. Well, Lil Baby doesn't play about his name or his girl, and he decided to step into the ring to clear up those allegations.
"Won't let the devil in but I stay with some demons," wrote the rapper before hammering off a few other tweets. "You tried it hoe, that shit ain't work. Ain never cap in my rap! That shit embarrassing."
While Lil Baby doesn't necessarily specify that he's addressing this particular situation, the timing adds up perfectly. Jayda Cheaves was heavily involved in the back-and-forth, which will likely continue into this week.
Alexis Skyy Beefs With Lil Baby’s GF, Ari Fletcher, & More
Alexis Skyy had words for everybody this weekend, including Ari Fletcher, Jayda Cheaves, Masika Kalysha, and more.
The tea was scalding hot this weekend after Alexis Skyy, Jayda Cheaves, Ari Fletcher, and a few others infiltrated social media with a war of worlds. While it's unclear who started the drama, Alexis Skyy is seemingly being looked at as the culprit, having said that she "paved the way" for women like Ari Fletcher to succeed. Of course, that did not sit well with the socialite, ending in virtual punches being thrown over Twitter.
"You bitches .. are weird af I’m in my own lane I don’t hate on no one all these trolls tagging me in shìt saying I’m trying be like this person," wrote Skyy on Saturday morning after a post went viral showing her and Ari Fletcher rocking similarly long nails. "I can do wtf I want with my hair nails clothes," she added.
Ari Fletcher struck back by alleging that nobody paved the way for her, calling out Skyy for accepting $3,500 for clubbing appearances. "$3500 could never get me in the club," said Ari, who is currently dating Moneybagg Yo. Alexis wasn't a fan of that jab, claiming to make double that amount before unexpectedly bringing Jayda Cheaves, Lil Baby's girlfriend, into this entire ordeal.
"I suggest you sit TF down b4 I come around & snatch MY N***A back aga... NVM you'll see," wrote Skyy, attacking Jayda after she playfully reacted to the beef erupting before her eyes. Jayda responded by standing up for herself and saying that Lil Baby would never be down to mess around with no Alexis Skyy. "Hoe he don't want you," she said. "Nobody want you. Baby you're tired. Take a seat."
All this happened before Alexis Skyy's child was brought up, which got her back-pedalling a touch. Check out the back-and-forth below.
Cardi B Goes Off About Porn & Reveals Her Favorite Category
Cardi B told her fans which porn category she prefers before voicing her confusion over why certain fantasy genres are so popular.
Some people have some pretty vivid sexual fantasies and, while Cardi B can count herself among that crowd, she finds some fetishes to be increasingly creepy. On Twitter this weekend, the superstar rapper revealed to the world which pornographic videos are her favourites before asking why some categories, like incest and teen-based clips, always pop up in her recommended videos.
"I was scrolling down a porn site then I seen a snippet of Frozen (Elsa). Why the fuck they put that? Shit made me cringe," wrote the Bronx-raised artist. Apparently, some people are into animated Disney characters... "Turn me all they way Off now I’m here with you motherfuckers... Weirdo shit. Shit shouldn’t be allowed."

She went on to explain the types of adult entertainment she actually enjoys, stating that she doesn't watch porn all too often. "And why do porn tittles [sic] be so weird like 'teen fuckin' step mom fuckin step kid ' LIKEEE WTFFF!!! That shit is fuckin nasty and weird. Fantasy on teenagers? And fuckin your step kids?.......I think the fuck NOT.....Fantasy is more like a foursome or fuckin on top of a car or something."
Revealing that "scissoring" is her favourite type of porn, Bardi told fans that she doesn't even have a go-to site. She just types in "porn" on Google and sees what kind of stuff pops up. There you have it for your daily dose of riveting Cardi B news!
