Hundreds of travellers at DFW Airport in Texas have complained of waiting in Customs/Immigration lines for hours, with no masks, gloves, or hand sanitizer in sight to protect themselves from contracting coronavirus. According to a DFW Airport spokesperson, travellers returning to the United States are obligated to fill out a questionnaire that was issued by the Department of Homeland Security and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention amid growing coronavirus concerns. These lengthy questionnaires have caused substantial delays, which has travellers waiting in line for hours crammed together in a confined space. Due to the increased risk that this proximity poses of contracting coronavirus, many travellers are concerned for their health and safety. “I’m less concerned about having to stand here for the amount of time that I am, and more concerned about where the people are traveling from that are around me and what they may or may not have been exposed to," one woman noted.

Known for her innovative and soulful melodies, CALYN continues to push the boundaries of urban music with her profound lyrical depth and captivating sound.
“Waiting” is an introspective exploration of the emotional turmoil experienced in the throes of a fading relationship. The song is a powerful blend of vulnerability and strength, capturing the essence of a soul in search of closure and understanding.
Drawing inspiration from her musical journey, which began under the guidance of her sister and fellow artist DYLI, CALYN has cultivated a sound that is uniquely her own. Her influences range from the soulful vibes of SZA to the timeless appeal of Etta James, evident in her earlier singles like “born tired” and “kinda love.” “Waiting,” however, marks a new chapter in her musical odyssey, offering a raw and unfiltered look into her personal experiences with love and loss.
The track’s composition mirrors the emotional rollercoaster of a breakup. From the initial verses filled with confusion and longing to the powerful chorus that echoes the pain of waiting in vain, CALYN‘s voice carries a weight that is both haunting and healing. The song’s lyrical narrative, “I spent two hundred days, Waking up knowing I got you,” portrays the struggle of clinging to hope in a relationship that’s slipping away.
“Waiting” is not just a song; it’s a cathartic release for CALYN and a beacon of solace for anyone navigating the aftermath of a broken relationship. The contrast between the two verses in the song, as described by CALYN, represents the before and after of a breakup – a creative choice that adds layers of relatability and depth to the track.
CALYN’s talent for turning personal pain into poetic expression sets her apart in the music industry. Her dedication to authenticity shines through in “Waiting,” making it more than just a song – it’s an experience, a shared moment of vulnerability and strength.
