Many celebrities, content creators, and influencers have flocked to the now highly-popularized social media platform TikTok, but according to an in-depth report obtained by The Intercept, the app's moderators have been censoring videos by users deemed too "ugly, poor, or disabled." The publication revealed that the platform's moderators are suppressing content from it's physically unappealing, financially-challenged, and disabled participants in order to attract more users to TikTok. Unfortunately, the method has been partially the reason why the app has been so successful as TikTok utilizes coveted influencers and challenges for their platform racking up over 1.5 billion users and achieving approximately 614 million app downloads this year alone, according to MediaKix.

Recently, CEO, Steve Huffman, dubbed the China-based app as "parasitic," after witnessing a steep increase in interest of the app while singer/songwriter Lizzo has feuded with the platform after the removal and replacement of her bathing suit video content.
One particular note in the exposed moderator documentation states that the officials should 'hide' content featuring "rural poverty, slums, beer bellies, and crooked smiles." A 'modesty code' instilled within the company has also led to the removal of content featuring bikini or swimming suits "outside of a beach or swimming occasion." With the app's handlers based in China, political censorship has been adamant as the moderator docs to ban users who "harmed 'national honor.'" While political content has been able to find its way onto the platform from time to time, anything in regards to political propaganda will and has been removed especially content critical of the Communist Party of China.
A TikTok spokesperson revealed that 'most of' the exposed guideline documents are "either no longer in use, or in some cases appear to never have been in place."
TikTok has been a major benefit for musicians with challenges like K Camp's #RenegadeChallenge and Drake's #FlipTheSwitchChallenge taking over the platform and adding to their streaming numbers. While challenges like the #SkullBreakerChallenge have guided the youth down the wrong path and led to legal disputes throughout several different communities.
Hopefully, TikTok's discriminatory practices are no longer in effect and people from all types of different backgrounds get the exposure they deserve for their content. Check out the official TikTok moderation documentation in the Twitter post provided below.
Young Thug Proves He’s The King Of Random Instagram Pics
Young Thug posted one of the most “WTF” pics on Instagram and still somehow won the Internet for the day with over 375,000 likes and counting.
Some celebrities just know how to do the Internet right, and rapper Young Thug is truly the king of proving he’s just that dude when it comes to social media. No wonder he has over 7 million people following his every single move, even when he’s not doing much of anything at all.

Thugger’s recent IG post was almost as random as seeing him on a song with pop starlet Camila Cabello back in 2017 for the massive smash “Havana,” which was such a hit that it took them both to the 2019 GRAMMYs stage (seen above) almost two years later. Accompanied by a simple tongue emoji, Young Thug‘s picture garnered over 375,000 likes from people who were just happy to see his face. From laughing emojis Lil Keed to Mike Will Made-It dropping the classic goat emoji to signify Thug’s status in the new age rap game, it wasn’t hard to see that his millions of followers truly just enjoy these random antics just as much as we like writing about them. Overall, it’s just dope to see someone showing the world that you don’t have to always take yourself so seriously. May he continue to live his best, most goofiest life.

Meek Mill Dares His Son $1,000 To Eat Crickets
For $1,000, would you eat a handful of crickets given to you by Meek Mill?
A good game of truth or dare usually results in some pretty shameful behavior if you decide to choose the latter option, ranging from running around the block naked or eating something very questionable. Meek Mill‘s son got to experience that recently after playing a quick game with his multiplatinum-selling pops. The result, admittedly, didn’t look too savory.

Before you go shaming the bug-eaters of the world, it’s worth noting that insects like crickets, which Meek Mill dared his son a cool 1,000 bucks to eat a plate of, are actually delicacies in certain parts of the world. The photo seen above isn’t to gross you out in the least bit; NYC’s American Museum of Natural History served that plate of insects to children participating in a 2004 program aimed at exploring cultures through cuisine. The menu included mealworms, waxworms and, yes, “cricket pizzas,” so maybe Meek’s son came up on a quick stack just off eating something that was basically finna be a breeze.
Take a look at the video below of Meek Mill daring his son $1,000 to eat crickets, and let us know if you agree with his ultimate decision and would’ve done the same down in the comments:
Autopsy Reveals Baby Died From Meth-Laced Breastmilk: Mother Arrested
One’s woman addiction caused her to lose her newborn child & freedom.
After waking up, 36-year-old, Ashlee Rans, reached out to emergency services when she noticed that her two-month-old daughter, Neveah, was cold to the touch and bleeding from the nose. Rans told the Marshall County, Indiana local authorities that her daughter’s death might be a result of her rolling over onto the infant while the two were sleeping.

An autopsy was performed the following day after Neveah was pronounced dead but evidence of airflow blockage or physically damaged organs was not found. A much more damning and tragic conclusion was discovered when the coroner report revealed that the child had lethal amounts of amphetamine and methamphetamine in her system, according to reports obtained by WNDU.
On Jan. 14, Rans was arrested on two counts of neglect of a dependent resulting in death. Marshall County Chief Deputy Prosecutor, Tami Napier said in a statement regarding the tragedy:
“The cause and manner of death were determined by the forensic pathologist, and he determined the infant died of acute methamphetamine intoxication, and the manner of death was a homicide.”
According to the affidavit the mother, Ashlee Rans signed, she admitted to smoking marijuana and knowing that there was a possibility of transferring the drug to her child through breastfeeding. It wasn’t until the autopsy revealed the child’s overdose that Rans confessed to using meth at a gas station two days prior to Neveah’s death.
Ashlee Rans’ initial trial date has yet to be revealed but the former-mother is currently in custody at the Marshall County Jail in Indiana facing between 20 and 40 years in prison if convicted on the charges of neglect resulting in death.
While some mothers are willing to do anything for their children, some are arguably less deserving of the miracles they bring into the world. Prayers and condolences to all of those affected by Neveah’s early departure.
Yung Ro Convinced A Man Not To Jump Off A Gas Station Roof While Still On IG Live
Sometimes heroes come in the form of Dream Chasers.
While most of the news surrounding Meek Mill‘s new artist Yung Ro centers around an ongoing feud with Blueface, at least this latest report shows the young Dream Chasers emcee in a very positive light.
Reposted by The Shade Room (seen above), Yung Ro was simply having a normal Instagram Live sesh when he literally stumbled upon a man that appeared to be attempting to commit suicide by jumping off the top of a gas station roof. Ro intervened immediately after he jumped out the car to further assess the situation, with cops even letting the burgeoning rapper get closer to the scene and talk the man off the ledge. “Don’t play like that, man! You about to be gone,” you can hear Yung Ro screaming, and by the tone of his voice you can tell he’s genuinely concerned. Thankfully, it all worked out and the man was taken off the roof safely. Fans watching from Ro’s IG, which was still rolling as everything went down, even deemed him “he-Ro.” We couldn’t agree more!
Props to Yung Ro on just, well, being a good ass Samaritan. Peep his 2019 music video for “Pop Out” below to get familiar if you aren’t already:
