Young M.A. is helping out in Atlanta, Georgia right now by doing what she can to fight for racial justice in America. Things have taken a serious turn in the country with protests taking place all weekend as property is destroyed and a message is sent. The people will not stand to be treated as second-rate humans anymore, standing united and voicing their concerns.
The Red Flu rapper was interacting with one of her fans, who pulled over on the side of the street to speak with her. When two police officers pulled her over for "stopping traffic" even though she had pulled to the side, Young M.A. got involved and shouted at the cops, getting a crowd to gather for fifteen minutes until the woman was let off with a warning.

During the situation, one of the officers called for back-up, which brought two extra cops to the scene. M.A. didn't let up until her fan was allowed to leave with a verbal warning and nothing more, doing her part to help out.
"She came up to me showing love as a fan, bro," yelled the rapper as she cruised in her car following the altercation. "And them n***as pulled her over 'cause she was in the middle of traffic. And we all pulled up, five cars deep, all police. We don't want no smoke, we don't want no problems. But you not gon' do that to my fans, though."
She goes on to say that she doesn't mean to disrespect the officers who "didn't do the most" according to her, but she's proud that she was able to help de-escalate the situation.

Young M.A Shows Off Her Beard On Instagram
Female rapper Young M.A glued an eyelash onto her chin and paraded around as though she had a mini goatee.
Brooklyn rapper Young M.A has been open about her sexuality throughout career, standing strong as one of the only representatives of the LGBTQ+ community in hip-hop. Although she claims to no longer identify as a lesbian -- "We don't do no labels. I just wouldn't date a guy," she previously said -- the star is known for pushing the boundaries of what has notoriously been shunned in rap.
During a recent Instagram Live session, which saw famous faces like Queen Latifah join in, Young M.A was having some fun and playing some variation of dress-up after finding a stray eyelash in her room. She glued it onto her upper lip and pretended as though it were half of a mustache before moving it to her chin and wearing it as a goatee. She seemingly liked the look.
Paras Griffin/Getty Images"This a whole beard, bro," she said before blurting out some Spanish and pretending to be a bigshot cocaine dealer.
The Brooklynite was the life of the party, eliciting laughter from her female friend in the room and continuing the charade for a minute.
There have been inaccurate reports floating around that Young M.A started taking hormones and grew this out herself but it's obvious from the video that she's just having fun and playing around with an eyelash.

50 Cent Plugs Young M.A Sex Toy Amid Coronavirus Panic
50 Cent believes he’s found the cure for coronavirus, so he’s plugging Young M.A’s sex toy to push the right information.
Fear surrounding the current coronavirus pandemic continues to rise and we can use as many laughs as possible right now. 50 Cent‘s social media pages have always been a reliable source for a good chuckle and, this morning, the legendary rapper came through once again.
Instead of freaking out like the majority of Americans, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is keeping cool, calm, and collected, reacting to the virus outbreak with hilarious memes that we can all enjoy. Sharing an edited CNN headline about COVID-19, Jackson joked that he had found the cure for coronavirus: constant sex.
Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images“Oh ok we gonna be alright,” giggled the television producer. He went on to support one of his friends, Young M.A, by including an image of her very own branded sex toy.
“@youngma so live got ya bitch over there doing things,” wrote 50 Cent on a photo of the rapper’s dildo, still in the package.
Of course, there is no known cure for the growing pandemic. While the issue still hasn’t reached its peak in North America, we can look to countries like China and Italy, who are currently battling through the worst of the illness. China has already started to re-open service centres, allowing us to breathe a little easier.
Young M.A Explains R&B Tweet, Denies Criticizing Today’s Singers
Young M.A recently said “we barely have R&B,” sparking a backlash from singers who thought she was speaking negatively about today’s talents.
A simple tweet from Young M.A about R&B kicked up some dust. “Music don’t feel the same because we barely have R&B,” the rapper tweeted last month. “R&B brung that balance to music.. now everything is leanin one way smh so it gets played out quick! We need R&B for the balance no kap!” As the tweet went viral, this generation’s R&B artists came forward to defend the genre and claimed that if someone thinks R&B is lacking, then they just aren’t searching hard enough.
Arturo Holmes / Stringer / Getty ImagesYoung M.A talked about her recent controversy during a visit to State of the Culture and revealed that people took what she was saying the wrong way. “It was just a spontaneous tweet,” she said. “I didn’t even know how crazy it was gon’ get. It was just something I was feeling at the moment ’cause I am a very huge fan of R&B. Most of my playlist is R&B and I was just listening to music in the house and this idea just sprung in my head so I went to Twitter to kinda express that.”
The rapper explained that when she checks out playlists, R&B doesn’t seem to have a stronghold in today’s music culture the way it has in the past. Young M.A also clarified that she never said “R&B is dead” but adds “we don’t hear it as often on front street as we would years prior.” She added that she knows nowadays you have to “search for it” but that fact proves her point.
“I do search for R&B and that’s the problem, why I gotta go search for it?” the rapper asked. “Why ain’t it in our faces as much as it used to be?” Young M.A listens to both old and new R&B and recognizes that the vibe is different, but she questions what’s keeping the genre from taking over the airwaves like it did decades ago. Jadakiss Discusses If Rappers Using Ghostwriters Deserve "Top 5" Accolades
Jadakiss recognizes that his generation and the current generation have differing views on the importance of writing your own rhymes.
Can you still be considered one of the top rappers in the game if you use a ghostwriter? Jadakiss weighed in on the subject with two answers that he called “politically correct.” The veteran emcee recently shared his anticipated and acclaimed project Ignatius, so he stopped by Sway in the Morning to chat about the record. While there, Jadakiss was asked if an artist can be considered one of the “Top 5” emcees if they use a ghostwriter, and the rapper answered both yes and no.
Robin Marchant / Stringer / Getty Images“In our era, no way at all,” Jadakiss said. “In today’s [era], it don’t matter.” He added, “In our era, it wasn’t even a thought. You wouldn’t even think…once that happens, you outta the thing. You ain’t gettin’ a yellow jacket after that. Today, that don’t even matter. If you can turn up to it and do whatever crazy-ass dances they do, they don’t care. And that’s what I don’t like that’s happening to the game.” Jadakiss added that he’s happy that the young artists are able to make money and have success, “but…when we’re just erasing things out of the original black book of hip hop, I can’t really condone that.”
During his talk, Jadakiss also revealed why the early days in his career were more “fun” for him. “In this particular business, when you get success, you get a target on your back,” he said. “You gotta move different and accordingly. Watch family, friends, the snakes, spiders, things of that nature. It takes some of the happiness out of it. Opposed to when you going for that, that journey in the beginning is more fun ’cause the valleys and peaks and meeting people and learning new stuff. Then after you cross that line, the financial situation, everything is much better, but it’s also that much dangerous and that much more snakes.”
Check out more from Jadakiss including his take on why he agrees with Young M.A about a lack of R&B in the current music culture below.
Ari Lennox Tells R&B Artists To "Keep Killing Sh*t" Amid Debate About Genre
Ari Lennox gives her fellow R&B artists a message of support as people weigh in about the so-called lack of R&B music today.
People continue to weigh in on what's been called the lack of R&B music in the culture at the moment, and artists are a little tired of hearing it. Young M.A ruffled a few feathers when she tweeted, "Music don’t feel the same because we barely have R&B. R&B brung that balance to music.. now everything is leanin one way smh so it gets played out quick! We need R&B for the balance no kap!"
Paras Griffin / Stringer / Getty ImagesDiddy recently took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself talking about how "the world is missing R&B" and that as the "code holder" of the genre, it's up to him to bring it back. Both PJ Morton and 6LACK have responded to these criticisms by saying there are plenty of talented R&B artists out there, it's just up to the public to discover them and for the industry to promote them.
Standing by the side of her fellow artists is the First Lady of Dreamville, Ari Lennox. The soul singer hopped on social media a few minutes ago to share her thoughts about people claiming that good R&B tunes are hard to find. "To all my fellow RnB friends killing sh*t, I love you and we got this," she wrote. "Back in the day people use to judge and hate on the evolution of soul music as well."
"It's a vicious cycle that every generation of artists goes through," Ari added, "Don't be discouraged because real music deserves to be heard. We have angels that love and support and go so hard for us, which is the coolest blessing. What we are doing now may not be fully appreciated or seen due to a sh*t agenda, but it will last forever. Real music is forever." Check out Ari Lennox's post and Diddy's video below.
View this post on Instagram6lack Responds To Criticism About The Current State Of R&B Music
After artists like Young M.A., Meek Mill, and more complained about the current state of music, 6lack posed a question of his own.
There are a few prominent figures who've aired out their complaints about the current state of music. Meek Mill, for example, hit Twitter to proclaim the death of "wack music" this year, although he didn't mention any names. Young M.A. also had some criticisms about the state of R&B, saying that it isn't bringing balance to music as it once did. "Now everything is leanin one way smh so it gets played out quick," she wrote on Twitter.
This comment may have been the catalyst in a recent video 6lack posted on Twitter where he said that there's too much good music right now to actually be complaining about the current state of rap or R&B. His comments spiraled into a deeper questioning of whether it's the quality of the music or just personal preference.
"There's too much good hip-hop and R&B out here to be complaining about what we don't have. Sayin' that you miss something specific in R&B is the equivalent to saying that you miss substance and bars or whatever in hip-hop," he said. "It's always somebody who do it. The question is -- Do you support 'em?"
The ultimate solution that 6lack had to offer for anyone complaining is to go digging for music they like. There's a lot of it out there.

Young M.A Says Music Today Is Imbalanced: "We Need R&B"
Young M.A gives her opinion on the climate of music today, saying that it feels imbalanced due to the lack of quality R&B music being made.
The music industry today is interesting to say the least. One one hand, artists have never been more diverse with the genre-bending hits we've heard over the last decade — emcees sing just as frequently as they spit bars, vocalists often choose trap beats over melodic instrumentation, and some of today's hottest musicians like Post Malone, Trippie Redd and Rico Nasty for example exhibit a style somewhere between rock, rap and heavy metal. With all that said, the love seems to have been lost on popular radio when it comes to good ol' R&B. Or has it?
Rapper Young M.A brought up a good point recently Twitter that sparked an interesting debate. Check out her tweet below to see what started it all:
"Music don’t feel the same because we barely have R&B," the Herstory lyricist wrote to her over 300,000 followers, continuing by adding, "R&B brung that balance to music.. now everything is leanin one way smh so it gets played out quick! We need R&B for the balance no kap! [sic]." Many were quick to agree that a sound that was so prominent in the '90s and early 2000s is deeply missing at the moment, meanwhile others felt the need to call out some of the artists keeping R&B music alive, with names like Jhené Aiko, Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, Brent Faiyaz and newcomer Arin Ray being thrown out as just a few examples. It's worth noting that a lot of those aforementioned names do their own style of soul music, which at times can sample rap, rock and the occasional EDM vibes as well.
