After a series of cryptic billboards appeared in major cities across the globe, it appears The Rolling Stones have finally revealed the title of their highly anticipated follow-up to 2023’s Hackney Diamonds. The new record is expected to be titled Foreign Tongues.

Images of the mysterious billboards—spotted in locations including the UK, France, Poland, and Australia—were shared to the band’s official Instagram account on Sunday, April 26. The signage features the iconic Stones logo alongside a phrase repeated in multiple languages, strongly hinting at the Foreign Tongues title.
This campaign follows the recent release of the vinyl-only single ‘Rough & Twisted’, issued under the band’s classic pseudonym, The Cockroaches. Fans have been quick to connect the dots, noting that the lyrics to the new track explicitly feature the line: “Why don’t you teach me/ Teach me all those foreign tongues?”

The band’s return to the studio has once again involved producer Andrew Watt, who previously collaborated on Hackney Diamonds. Reports suggest that the creative momentum is high, with the group already having written at least 10 additional songs for future projects.
While the new album is slated for a July release, fans hoping for a massive world tour may have to wait. In late 2025, the band confirmed they had scrapped plans for a 2026 UK and European stadium tour, citing Keith Richards‘ inability to commit to the rigorous schedule. The band last toured North America in 2024, a trek that became one of the highest-grossing tours of the year.
