ASTRO’s JinJin drops ‘Fly’, featuring vocals from late bandmate Moonbin

ASTRO’s JinJin has unveiled a new song titled ‘Fly’, featuring vocals from late bandmate Moonbin.

ASTRO’s JinJin released ‘Fly’ on April 19, which is the anniversary of Moonbin’s death. The song features rap verses by JinJin, pared by a chorus that features vocals from Moonbin. The track dropped alongside a music video that follows JinJin as he walks along a shore, holding a bouquet of daffodils as a tribute to his late bandmate.

“I shine myself under a new light / To the place where the dream is engraved / Fly away, just fly away / Fly higher,” Moonbin sings on the song’s chorus. The song was written and produced by Jinjin himself.

Several K-pop idols paid tribute to Moonbin on January 26, which would have marked his 26th birthday. Bandmate Cha Eun-woo dropped a cover of American DJ duo SLANDER’s ‘Love Is Gone’, after he had previously covered ‘Stalker’ by 10cm in dedication to Moonbin a month after he passed.

Other ASTRO members MJ and Jinjin, MONSTA X’s I.M as well as SEVENTEEN’s DK and Seungkwan also posted tributes in remembrance of Moonbin on his birthday. “It’s very cold. I hope you’re doing well. I miss you a lot. Happy birthday,” I.M wrote at the time.
