Queens of the Stone Age have hinted at ambitious plans for their 2027 live tour, teasing an experience that promises to be “beyond what we’ve ever done before.” As the band prepares for a busy cycle supporting their ninth studio album, Perfecth, frontman Josh Homme has suggested that the upcoming shows will mark a significant evolution in their performance style.
With headline shows already confirmed for North America and Europe, and a UK leg expected to be announced shortly, the band is currently riding the momentum of Perfecth, which was released on October 30. During a recent interview with NME, Homme reflected on the band’s trajectory, noting that their previous, more theatrical ‘Catacombs’ tour served as a catalyst for this new creative direction.

Describing the current era of the band as their “third act,” Homme emphasized a desire to move away from comfort zones and embrace uncertainty. “I think the Catacombs have changed us forever, and so there is no going back – there’s only forward,” he explained. “We’re going to do something that’s beyond what we’ve ever done before. We learned something about the theatrics of all that, almost Vaudeville and magic.”

For Homme, this phase is defined by a search for peace and a willingness to accept vulnerability. He contrasted this with the band’s earlier years, which he characterized as a period of “war and attack” and a drive to push boundaries. Now, the focus has shifted toward allowing emotions—even those that are terrifying—to exist without the need for concealment.
Perfecth has been widely praised for its intimate and adventurous sound, with critics noting that the band has successfully broken out of their traditional rock mold. The album, which follows 2023’s In Times New Roman, features singles such as “Where The Goth Girls At?”, “Insignificant Other”, and “Easy Street”.
As the band looks toward their 2027 tour, they continue to maintain a rigorous schedule. Following a series of international dates throughout 2026, including stadium shows supporting Foo Fighters, the group is set to perform a major co-headline concert with Interpol in Mexico City this coming March.
Tickets for the 2027 European tour are scheduled to go on general sale this Friday, November 6, at 10am local time.
