Sam Fender Vows to Adjust ‘Inflated’ 2027 Stadium Tour Prices

Sam Fender has spoken out regarding the “inflated” ticket prices for his highly anticipated 2027 UK and Ireland tour, offering a direct assurance to his fanbase that the costs are “getting changed.” The singer-songwriter is preparing to embark on his ‘Proper Massive Stadium Tour’ next summer, which includes major performances at St James’ Park in Newcastle, London’s Wembley Stadium, and several other iconic venues.

Following the announcement of the tour dates, fans expressed significant frustration on social media regarding the pricing tiers. Reports indicated that standing tickets in Newcastle were priced near £98.60, while premium seating reached over £110. Similar pricing structures were observed for other venues, with front-standing sections listed at upwards of £120 to £130.

The discourse gained traction after Instagram user Gavin Davis, known for sharing tour leaks, posted the details. Fender took to the comments section to address the backlash directly, stating: “I’m not happy with these prices, they’re getting changed.” He further clarified his position, noting that the costs had been inflated beyond his original intentions. “It got inflated well more than I’d had in mind, it should only be inflated in relation to the cost of putting the show on,” he explained.

Beyond the ticket costs, Fender also criticized the industry practice of splitting standing areas into “front” and “general” sections. “The standing will not be split as well, I had no idea about it,” he added. “I have no idea how this was normalised in gigs. It’s bollocks and it won’t be happening on this tour.”

Fender has a history of advocating for fair ticketing practices. Last year, he joined other prominent artists—including Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and Radiohead—in urging the UK government to cap secondary ticket prices. Additionally, he has previously implemented a £1 ticket levy on his tours to support grassroots music venues, demonstrating a consistent commitment to his audience and the broader live music ecosystem.
