A Suits star has expressed his interest in turning the hit law series into a film.
While attending the Suits reunion panel at the ATX TV Festival on Sunday (June 2), the series’ lead actor Patrick J. Adams – who portrayed Michael Ross – responded to a fan’s question if there was any interest in making a reunion film, per a Variety report.
While series creator Aaron Korsh was unable to attend as he’s currently working on a spin-off series Suits L.A., Adams revealed that Korsh is indeed interested in a potential film. “It’s definitely something he’s interested in doing, in trying to get the band back together. So it depends on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible? I think it is possible,” he said.
Adams then said that he would be keen on a film, while cast mate Dulé Hill also expressed his interest in reprising his role.
Suits L.A. is currently in production, and will include new characters and a fresh setting. Unlike numerous shows now getting prequel or sequel series, Suits L.A. will be neither – it will be an entirely new story set in the world of Suits. It is currently unclear if any character from the original Suits series will appear in the upcoming spin-off.
In August last year, Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter that he’d consider a Suits revival “if someone reached out and the cast was into it,” but only “if I could come up with something that excited me. But if I could wave a magic wand and get another show on the air, it wouldn’t be a continuation of Suits“.
Suits aired from 2011 to 2019 and follows the exploits of Mike Ross (Adams) and Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) at a fictional corporate law firm in New York City.
