Drake appeared on Diddy's Instagram live dance-a-thon fundraiser to discuss his new album, Sunday night.
"I'm working on the album, I've been working on it for a while now," Drake tells Diddy.

"Another silver lining is, when God does get you to sit down, I remember the last time I had to sit down was when I tore my ACL. And I made a great album out of that. Obviously God has us all inside the house right now sitting down, so the amount of focus I'm able to put into this album is probably way different than it would've been if I had to go through the residency in Vegas and be able to go meet up with Justin in Miami or whatever.
"Saying all that to say that, definitely, this is the most excited I've been about an album in a long time," he said. "A lot of little stuff has been trickling out but all the stuff on the album is fresh, it's brand new. I'm excited. This is probably the most music I've ever been sitting on. I'm hyped."
Drake recently went live with Joe Budden as well and hinted at a new album that will be arriving soon. He told Budden the two would do an interview when the music was ready to drop.
Lebron James, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodrigez and more stopped in Diddy's Instagram live event as well.

Gunna Sets Release Date For New Album
Atlanta rapper Gunna appears to have finally chosen a release date for his upcoming album "Wunna."
Ever since he stepped out of Young Thug's shadow as a premier talent from the YSL Records team, Gunna has been on a rocket ship to the top. Through his collaborative work with Lil Baby and his solo efforts Drip Or Drown and the Drip Season series, the 26-year-old Atlanta star has been a favorite for many in the rap game. Coming through with effortless swag, Gunna always manages to make it all seem easy. The Young Thug associate has been teasing his next body of work for the last month, premiering "SKYBOX" as his lead single to the upcoming album Wunna. After struggling to decide on a release date, it looks like he's finally circled something on the calendar.
"Issa Date," wrote Yung Gunna on Twitter, just days after publicly wishing that he could announce the official release date to his fans.
The coronavirus has affected the music industry in a tough way, preventing artists from touring or performing any concerts to make a living. Gunna is one of the stars that has likely been touched by the pandemic the hardest, beginning to roll out his album right when this started. Thankfully, it looks like he will soon be able to get back to business, promoting Wunna and continuing to push out drip anthems.

dvsn’s New Album Features Future, Summer Walker & PARTYNEXTDOOR
OVO Sound group dvsn has announced the features on their upcoming album “A Muse In Her Feelings.”
After releasing their critically-acclaimed album Morning After in 2017, OVO Sound duo dvsn basically dropped off the face of the planet. The Canadian group, made up of singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, has been slowly returning to the fray and they’re about to contribute to the major Toronto takeover we’ve witnessed this year.
So far this year, we’ve got albums from The Weeknd and PARTYNEXTDOOR in back-to-back weeks. The city’s champion Drake is also working on a new body of work. Elsewhere on his successful label, dvsn are plotting their own album release, prepping A Muse In Her Feelings for a release later this morning. Alongside a trailer, the group has just revealed who will be guesting on the project.

Announcing that their upcoming album would be out on April 17, dvsn let the world in on who could be expected on A Muse In Her Feelings. Future, Snoh Aalegra, Popcaan, Buju Banton, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jessie Reyez, Summer Walker, and others were all named as featured stars, allowing fans to imagine what some of these dream team-ups will sound like. dvsn x Summer Walker? Yes, please! dvsn x Snoh Aalegra? Yes, please!! dvsn x Buju Banton? This is just too much.
The new album arrives in just over one week. Are you looking forward to it?
XO’s 88GLAM Break Silence On New Music Amid Break Up Rumors
88GLAM ends speculation that they won’t be releasing a new album after rumors circulate that they’ve been dropped from XO.
The rise of Toronto’s 88GLAM only strengthened the XO roster but fans became widely concerned over the status of the group in 2020. A subreddit dedicated to 88GLAM recently speculated that they’ve split up. In addition to rumors that there’s an internal conflict between Derek Wise and 88Camino, the internet was immediately fueled with rumors that they had been dropped by both XO and Republic Records. Of course, all of these problems combined would mean that we wouldn’t receive their follow-up to 88GLAM 2. With an April 17th release date previously set, we’ve finally received some sort of response surrounding the status of their next project.

Coronavirus has officially impeded the release of Close To Heaven Far From God. The group relayed the message Instagram earlier today, stating that they wouldn’t be able to properly roll out the project.
“We hope everyone is keeping safe and well during this horrific, unprecedented time. Due to recent global events and all touring/festival cancellations, we have decided to delay our album release,” the message reads. “We wanted to release it during a time that would not compromise our roll out strategy. Cant wait to see all of our fans and go offfff to the new music.”
Some people took this as a good sign while others appeared to further question the status of the duo. However, it should be noted that there has been a screenshot of an alleged conversation with 88GLAM’s day-to-day manager Melody who confirmed that things are all good between them and that they are steadily cooking up.
Future Reveals "Life Is Good" As New Album Title
Following the release of last year’s “The WIZRD,” Future is ready to drop off his brand new studio album “Life Is Good.”
Last year, Future made a solid impression with The WIZRD, one of the strongest albums we’ve seen from him in a minute. Yet since its release, it would appear that the Atlanta rapper has managed to find love, filling his dark soul with light and a new lease on life to boot. As such, Future has opted to let art imitate life, revealing to XXL that his upcoming eighth studio album would be titled Life Is Good.

With XXL’s Spring 2020 Future-centric issue hitting stores today, not that anybody is able to go buy a physical copy right now, it stands to reason that we’re looking at an imminent release — barring any coronavirus-related delays, of course. And while the bulk of the details lie within the magazine itself, the write-up does signify that Future has been feeling a notable sense of inner peace, which might signal a thematic direction for the upcoming project.
Given that many have come to appreciate the tragic figure that is Sad Future, it’s unclear as to how the game might willingly receive a Happy variant. Especially after both The WIZRD and Save Me seemed to point to a man deep in the throes of personal darkness. Still, the Drake-assisted “Life Is Good” has already set an interesting tone, proof that Future can celebrate his accomplishments without sacrificing his signature sonic qualities. Are you excited to see a new album from Future?
Lil Baby Delays "Lamborghini Boys" Until Quarantine Is Over
Lil Baby announces that he'll be pushing back "Lamborghini Boys" project until we can all go outside again.
Coronavirus quarantine is putting on a damper on many artists' careers, as they're unable to tour, or go outside in general, whether it's business meetings or a recording studio. Nonetheless, it's fair to say that most mainstream artists have a home studio set-up, and are still able to work on new music during this period. Lil Baby has been prepping and teasing his Lamborghini Boys album pre-coronavirus takeover, and now he's made a new announcement where that album is concerned.
Not that we can really be mad at an album delay, Baby just did drop My Turn at the end of February. It was a couple of short weeks laters that he first announced the project, Lamborghini Boys, an album he said that would only feature fellow Lambo-owners. At the time, he said it would drop in 60 days. However on Twitter today, he said he'll be delaying the album "until we [back] outside."
Good idea or nah? I'm sure we'd all love more music in these quarantined times, but at the same time, it's difficult to promote a new project when going to radio shows, clubs and the like is not a possibility.
We'll keep you posted on new details surrounding Lamborghini Boys.
Kodak Black Announces New Album "Kill Bill"
Kodak Black readies a brand new album while he's behind bars.
Kodak Black has new music in the stash ready to unleash on the world. Though he's been behind bars, he's teased the release of a new album for the past few months. Previously, he stated that his fans would have to get his latest single, "Because Of You" to a platinum certification before his birthday on June 11th if they wanted his new album. Otherwise, he'd make fans wait until his release.
Apparently, there's a good chance fans could get this album even before his birthday in June. According to a tweet on his account, the rapper's new project, Kill Bill will be out sooner than anyone knows it. "#KillBill coming soon!! Until then vibe to these Championships," he wrote along with a photo of his head photoshopped on Kobe Bryant's head with five championship trophies in front of him. Though a release date hasn't been set, perhaps Kodak is hoping to release a new project in time for the summer.
It has been a minute since we've received any sort of new music from Kodak Black but a few weeks ago, as the Coronavirus pandemic began to ramp up, a video of the rapper delivering a verse from behind bars surfaced. We can only imagine that he's been writing a ton of music since the start of his incarceration.
Gunna Reveals Plans For New Album Amid Coronavirus Crisis
Gunna has been having some issues dropping his album due to the Coronavirus.
Gunna has consistently been one of the best up and coming artists over the last little while and has been teasing his latest project, Wunna, for quite some time now. In fact, Gunna dropped the single “Sky Box” as a way to give some fans some music to tide them over before the official drop. Unfortunately, it seems as though things have been pushed back for Gunna due to the spread of the Coronavirus.
There are a lot of different elements that go into an album. You need it mixed and mastered but you also need to be able to do a press run in order to drum up hype. Because of the Coronavirus and the closing of numerous businesses and studios, Gunna is stuck in an impossible position. He explained all of this and more in a recent interview with XXL.
Don’t fret though, as Gunna explains, things will eventually clear up and he will be able to drop his album. It’s just that for now, he can’t do as much as he would like. In the video above, Gunna even explains that he isn’t letting people in his house right now and that it’s making it hard for him to work with producers and the like.
Hopefully, Gunna will be able to get things back up and running, sooner rather than later. We are all going through tough times right now and some fresh music would certainly help lift the mood.
DMX Has A Lot To Say On His New Album
Though it’s been a minute since his last album, the legendary DMX has been putting in some serious work in the studio.
There’s no denying that DMX is one of the greatest rappers in hip-hop history. Look no further than his epic 1998 run that included both It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot and Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood, two classics released back-to-back. Not to mention his “Damien” trilogy, some of the best hip-hop horror penmanship of all time. A legacy act that has no doubt influenced a vast crop of modern-day rappers to some degree, fans have been eagerly anticipating the long-awaited followup to DMX’s last studio album Return Of The Beast, which hit stores in 2015. Now, it would appear the time for a comeback is nearly upon us.

Since we last heard from DMX, the rapper has experienced a slew of hardships, including a brief stint in prison for a tax-fraud charge. Determined to remind the masses what he’s all about on the mic, X took to Instagram to provide an update on the state of his next project, which has been in the works for a minute. “Look thru my eyes,” he captions. “Locked in the studio, there’s a lot I have to say.”
The brief yet exciting update arrives on the heels of an unexpected cameo on Tory Lanez‘ madcap Quarantine Radio, which found X confirming that the album was currently in the works. Given that X has been increasingly active on social media of late, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him kick off a rollout sooner rather than later. Regardless of how you might feel about new DMX music, it should be noted that his return is nothing short of a hip-hop triumph — especially given some of the hardship he’s endured in recent memory. Keep an eye out for more updates on the new DMX album as they surface.
Rihanna Won’t Say When "R9" Drops But She’s "Aggressively Working"
Rihanna’s said she’s “working aggressively” on her forthcoming project but she doesn’t have a release date set.
The wait for Rihanna‘s new album is still high. Following her rare appearance on PartyMobile highlight “Believe It,” fans have been speculating that her forthcoming project isn’t too far away. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case and realistically, we’ll likely have to wait until this Coronavirus pandemic dies down.
Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images
In a recent profile with British Vogue, Rihanna shared some insight on her ninth studio album which is tentatively titled, R9. Though no release date has been set, she did confirm that she’s working on it heavily at the moment. “I can’t say when I’m going to drop,” she said. “But I am very aggressively working on music.”
That being said, she did confirm that the project is indeed influenced by reggae. “I don’t want my albums to feel like themes.. there are no rules. There’s no format. There’s just good music, and if I feel it, I’m putting it out,” she said. ” “I feel like I have no boundaries. I’ve done everything – I’ve done all the hits, I’ve tried every genre – now I’m just, I’m wide open. I can make anything that I want.”
Perhaps this album will arrive this summer but I wouldn’t hold your breath if I were you. She promised that the project would arrive in 2019 which never happened so maybe 2020 is more promising.
