Two of the biggest names in music today, Lil Nas X and Lizzo, enjoyed spectacular nights at the 2020 Grammy Awards. Both superstars performed at the event, bringing home some hardware as well. They ended the night by attending a strip club as a unit, bringing some of their friends along as well. When his hit record "Panini" started playing over the loudspeakers, LNX got pretty hyped and decided to make it rain in the middle of the club, drowning strippers in cash. He did so by distributing racks at the sound of each beat, leading to a humorous video hitting the internet and confusing fans as to why he appears to be so unenthusiastic. He offered an explanation on Twitter, which should already have been obvious.
Alongside Lizzo, Lil Nas X experienced one of the biggest break-out years in music. He went viral with "Old Town Road" before speaking his truth, coming out as gay to the world. Of course, he had to remind folks of that fact when one of his supporters asked why he looks so bored at the booty club.
"Cuz i’m, u know," joked the rapper with his audience, attaching a photo of SpongeBob SquarePants flicking his wrist. That should have been clear from the jump. Still, he likely had a damn good time with Lizzo, Dua Lipa, and company.
Tory Lanez Grinds On Megan Thee Stallion’s Booty & Realizes They’re "Evil Twins"
Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion are cut from the same cloth.
Toronto native Tory Lanez and Houtson-bred rapper Megan Thee Stallion both have the ability to spit absolute bars when they feel like it. As he continues to grow as an artist, Tory has been giving us flashes of his old self, foregoing the melody magic and coming through with some quick-paced lyricism during his feud with Joyner Lucas and in select instances afterwards. Just starting out as a major label highlight, Megan Thee Stallion is making her mark on the industry with her grit, using her hard influences to craft a unique sound that was untouched in female rap. The two were in attendance at the star-studded Roc Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch and they decided to get a little silly with their photos, uploading them to social media.

“At this moment, me and @theestallion realized we were evil twins,” wrote Tory Lanez on a photo of both musicians laughing maniacally. Earlier in the day, he had posted a similar shot of him going wild with DJ Khaled. The second shot has Lanez placed behind Meg, grinding up on her frame and just being a general goofball. Kehlani was a fan of that one, commenting, “the second pic is SENDING. ME.”
Artists continue sharing moments from the Roc Nation Brunch, which we’re absolutely living for right now. Take a look at the photos below.
Post Malone Hopes To Drop New Album In 2020
Post will not let his reign die down.
Post Malone conquered 2019 with his third studio album, Hollywood’s Bleeding. It birthed another No. 1 single for him, “Circles”, and broke all kinds of streaming records. Before that project dropped, Post was already one of the biggest music artists in the world, but it solidified his status as a hit-making machine. After reaching this level of success, it’s understandable that he doesn’t want to let his foot off the gas.
In an interview with Rolling Stone about his new partnership with Doritos, Post said that, after he wraps up the second leg of his North American “Runaway” tour, he “[hopes] to have a record out for the fans in 2020.”
Post Malone is the face of Doritos’ new flavor, “Flamin’ Hot Limon.” Its cleverly-titled campaign, “Post Limón”, premiered during the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. While Post’s song with Swae Lee, “Sunflower”, was nominated in two categories (Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance), he didn’t end up winning either. Good thing he skipped out on attending the ceremony in favor of some downtime. “I’m taking it nice and easy,” he told Rolling Stone. “I needed a little break because I’ve been partying a little hard, so it feels good to be back home and playing Call of Duty. I’m going to take some R&R and get some beauty sleep so my body and voice doesn’t suck on tour. If I go to L.A. I’ll get into trouble.”
Kobe Bryant & Gianna Bryant Honored With Massive Basketball Court Mural
Kobe & Gianna Bryant mural revealed at the Tenement basketball court in Manila.
There is no finite way to mourn the loss of a global icon such as Kobe Bryant.
In the aftermath of the tragic helicopter crash, fans in the Los Angeles area have flocked to Staples Center to pay their respects while teams across the league paid tribute in their own ways. Bryant’s former teammates and coaches, as well as those who played against him have shared their fondest memories, and members of the media have tried their best to shed light on Kobe the father, just as much as the Black Mamba we all came to know and respect on the court.

In addition to all of the written and verbal anecdotes, street artists have quickly erected murals in Kobe’s honor – both in Los Angeles and around the globe. On Monday, graffiti artist Jules Muck unveiled a colorful tribute to Kobe and his 13-year old daughter Gianna in L.A. Shortly thereafter, another massive mural was revealed at the Tenement basketball court in Manila, Philippines.
The image on the court is inspired by the heartwarming photo of Kobe and Gianna captured during the 2016 NBA All Star Game in Toronto, the last All Star Game that Kobe participated in.

King Los Schools Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe After Kobe Bryant Joke
King Los and Tony Hinchcliffe have a debate on the horizon.
The art of Comedy, especially in today's culture, has often led to many heated debates about sensitivity. Some comedians have no qualms with abandoning morality in favor of landing that edgy punchline, Tony Hinchcliffe among them. Following the tragic news of Kobe Bryant's passing in a helicopter crash, Hinchcliffe took to Twitter to fire one off at his expense. "Kobe passing?" he writes. "That can't be true." As of now, the tweet remains up, a testament to his unwavering stance on the matter. Naturally, many heartbroken fans were quick to call him out, with elite lyricist King Los taking the process a step further.
Taking to Instagram, Los voiced his displeasure with the joke, explaining his position on why belittling Kobe's death was a slight against the black community. Given that the majority of the exchange has been deleted, it's difficult to cite his words verbatim. As of now, remnants can be seen on his Twitter, with the beginning reading as follows. "I respect freedom of speech but I also understand that the value of the black family will never fully resonate with oppressors children nor is it their responsibility to give a fuck. I’m a big comedy fan but this…"
He later doubled down on his position, and while the full message has since been deleted, a captured screenshot highlights part of it:
"There's absolutely no reason for you to even care how deeply hurtful this joke is to black culture, I understand. I'm not one of those peoeple who belives that anybody outside of the African diaspora can ever truly relate to the traumatic psychological affects these things have on us considering the past 400 yrs. However we all understand that you used a tragic moment where a man died with his 13 yr old daughter to capitalize for your comedic platform. You did what you felt you had to do and violated us willingly so keep that same energy when the favor is returned. I hope we can all still laugh. #GreenLight"
Also on Twitter, Los implies that his words led Hinchcliffe to feel particularly threatened. "Tony Hinchcliffe gathered that somehow I would be responsible for the retaliation of his inconsiderate behavior. No sir you “make fun of people for a living." The message remains unfinished, and the matter appears to have been addressed behind the scenes.
Following a since-deleted back and forth, Los confirmed that he and Hinchcliffe had settled their differences in the DMs, and would be using the opportunity to stage a discussion on an upcoming podcast. "We decided to bring awareness to the issue by doing a podcast," reveals Los, on Twitter. "I’m going to teach !!!!! I deleted my post and I hope he finds it in his heart to erase his post on Kobe. I can’t change his heart but I can change how we are seen as I represent class and scholarship. I’m coming Tony !!!!"
At the very least, both men were able to find common ground and agree to settle the matter a (hopefully) healthy discourse. Rest in peace, Kobe.
Jimmy Fallon Breaks Down Remembering Kobe Bryant: Watch Tribute
Watch Fallon's moving tribute to Kobe Bryant last night.
Like the rest of the world, Jimmy Fallon is feeling the loss of Kobe Bryant. On Monday night, the Late Night host delivered a heartfelt tribute to Kobe Bryant, recalling a beer run he made with the fallen NBA legend the first time they met.
Fallon posted the tribute video on Twitter with the caption, "I will remember you 24/8.”
"The world was heartbroken yesterday by a helicopter accident in Los Angeles that claimed the lives of nine people, including that of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna," Fallon says in the tribute video.
He then goes onto describe meeting a 17-year-old Kobe Bryant at a party when he was 21. Both were new to the Los Angeles scene and "hit it off" at the party. Fallon says the two drove to a store that was locked and the man behind the door told the pair that he couldn't sell them beer because the store only delivered. Bryant put his ID up to the window and told the worker, "I'm a Laker," Fallon recalled fondly. As a result, they were able to get five cases and Kobe "saved the party," Fallon said.
As he reflected on the 41-year-old's legacy and the friendship that had endured, Fallon started choking up. "We'd laugh at all the good things that had happened since," he said as he fought back tears. "And we'd laugh at how much fun it was to raise kids and all the stupid mistakes we made trying to figure out how to be good dads…and today he and one of his girls are gone."
He continued, "But I think I knew Kobe enough to know that he rose to any challenge by digging deeper and getting back to work. So, let's honor Kobe, Gianna and the other lives that were lost yesterday by following his example. Love your family, love your teammates and outwork everyone else in the gym," he said. Fallon ends by saying, "Kobe, when we meet again we're going on a beer run.”
Offset Uses Eerie Kobe Bryant Speech For Morning Motivation
Kobe Bryant was one hell of a man.
Kobe Bryant conducted business with a Mamba Mentality, believing in himself and his ability to be great on a daily basis. Much of that strength came from within. Bryant’s confidence was unmatched. Watching him run up and down the court with ease, facing off against the toughest defenders and sinking the most impossible shots made it a joy to witness Kobe Bryant as a player. Then, he transitioned to life off the court and showed the world that he’s also a loving, caring, and devoted husband and father. Spending tons of time with his family, Kobe would use helicopters to bypass the busy Los Angeles traffic. As you surely know by now, he has been named as one of the fatalities in a tragic crash in Calabasas over the weekend, which also took the life of his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna. When he wasn’t talking trash on the hardwood, Bean would be spitting motivational facts to anybody who needed to hear it and, this morning, Offset was in need of some Mamba energy.

“WORDS FROM THE GOAT,” wrote Migos rapper Offset on a video of Bryant speaking directly to our souls, reminding us why it’s so important to have passion. “Hello everyone, I’m so sorry I can’t be with you tonight,” says the heroic basketball star in an eerie manner. “However, I couldn’t completely miss the chance to take a moment to share some thoughts with all of you.”
Bryant goes on to explain why we all need to believe in ourselves, detailing how a guidance counselor once told him he didn’t have a future in basketball. He kept pushing toward his goal and, eventually, became one of the game’s greatest minds of all time.
Rest in peace, Kobe Bryant. Revisit his wisdom below.
Sauce Money Warns Diddy & Jay-Z Their Time Is Coming
Sauce Money calls out his former collaborators.
“Backdoor politics” as usual. At least that’s how Sauce Money, former collaborator of Jay-Z and Diddy, feels about their business practices. Having worked with Diddy on songs like “I’ll Be Missing You” and Jay-Z on “Reservoir Dogs,” Sauce Money is no stranger to the megastar moguls. For Sauce, the animosity with Diddy goes way back; he recently dissed Puff on wax with “Love Tap,” accusing the mogul of being stingy with the royalties among other cardinal sins. Now, following Diddy’s recent speech at the Recording Academy, highlighting the importance of “respecting black music,” Sauce has decided to call out hypocrisy.

“Just watched Diddy Icon acceptance speech at the Recording Academy and I can honestly say I respect the message, just not coming from him,” writes Sauce. “He practices the same backdoor politics against his own people. Him and his friend Jay-Z. If the Grammys are on the clock, then ya’ll are too!”
While he neglects to provide any concrete examples, his pot-stirring warning will likely raise a few eyebrows. Especially given that many are inherently distrustful of industry higher-ups. Whether Sauce’s message proves to be foreshadowing for a greater unraveling remains to be seen. Is this man speaking facts or merely spouting bitter musings? Sound off below.
Timberwolves Honor Kobe Bryant By Placing Ball Where He Surpassed MJ
See how the Wolves paid tribute to Kobe on Monday night.
In the aftermath of the heartbreaking helicopter crash that claimed the life of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven others, NBA teams across the league have taken to the court to pay tribute to the Black Mamba. This included 24-second moments of silence before each game, and teams intentionally running out the 24-second shot clock or 8-second backcourt violations, in honor of Bryant' jersey numbers.
On Monday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves honored Kobe by placing the basketball on the free throw line in the same spot where the Laker legend surpassed Michael Jordan on the all-time list back in 2014.
The Sacramento Kings reciprocated Minnesota's violation by running out the 24-second shot clock before the game really got underway. And the game itself turned out to be a thriller.
Trailing by 17 points with under three minutes to play, the Kings went on an unprecedented run that brought them to within two in the final seconds. That's when De'Aaron Fox delivered a missed free throw for the ages and corralled the rebound to send the game into overtime. Sacramento went on to win by the final of 133-129.
Buddy Hield, who led all scorers with a career-high 42 points, reflected on his childhood idol after the come from behind victory.
"That's the reason I wanted to play in the NBA because of Kobe," Hield said. "I feel that he was with me. He never gives up. That's always his mentality. Never give up. No matter what the stakes was, he was always pushing, always pressing. He's making sure guys feel him. That's what I did tonight."
2 Chainz Announces T.R.U’s "No Face No Case" Album Release Date
T.R.U’s new album is on the way.
T.R.U. University is back in session. Dad-tier academia puns aside, we’ve come bearing good news. Following the release of a few January bangers, including the recent “Virgil Discount,” 2 Chainz, Skooly, Sleepy Rose, Worl, and Hott Locked N have landed on a release date for their upcoming group album. Look for No Face No Case to land on February 7th, with many speculating another single bridging the gap.

Tity Boi took to Instagram to showcase the album’s creative direction, which finds each member embodying the album title in a literal sense. Last but not least comes the album cover, which depicts the five rappers standing as a united, albeit incognito, front. As of now, further details surrounding runtime, track allocation, and guest appearances remain under lock and key.
Given how liberal 2 Chainz has been with previewing new music, it’s entirely possible that No Face No Case is a prelude to his own solo album. Either way, it’s always a good thing when Tity Boi enters the fold – has he earned the right to be named among the game’s most consistent? Look for T.R.U’s group album to land on February 7th, 2020. Are you excited?
