Tech N9NE Addresses Fat Joe Saying Eminem Can’t be Touched In Verzuz
Last week, Fat Joe said that DMX wouldn't stand a chance against Eminem in a Verzuz battle and suggested nobody would, because of Shady's fervent fanbase.
"There's something about that white boy, and his fans. Nah bro. That n*gga's David Koresh. That n*gga different," Fat Joe explains. "Eminem was hot when we came out. His fans from day one when he was making "Stan" and all of that are 40, 45 years old. These white people they teach their kids who are ten years old that Eminem is the greatest. You go to the airport ten years are playing his hits ... they keep teaching their kids that he's the man."
Tech N9NE, who a serious music head, was asked about that. He agreed that DMX isn't a good matchup for Em. But he didn't agree that Shady can't be touched. [Jump to 3 minutes]
"Who could battle Eminem," Tech wondered. "Because Eminem can go from the to the mid-90s all the way up to now with "Godzilla". All the Rihanna songs. All the Ed Sheeran songs. The song with Trick Trick ... He can go forever. He can go to D12. He can use his different personalities, like Slim Shady, Marshall Mathers, Eminem, whatever. He can go on forever. Somebody else that can go on forever ... JAY-Z. So Eminem and JAY-Z. JAY-Z's gonna knock him out with the clubbers [like "Dirt Off Your Shoulders.] JAY-Z and Eminem would be a good one. It's gonna be different. You know the thing with Nelly and Ludacris when Ludacris had the club bangers and Nelly had the going-diamond music. That's kind of how it would maybe be with Eminem and JAY-Z because they both got mega-hits," Tech explained.
As for DMX, Tech has all the respect in the world for the Dark Man. He just doesn't think he did it long enough
"DMX, got a lot of them. But when you get up to now though. To go against Eminem you got to sustain from then to now," TECH explained.
Russell Simmons Addresses His Mistreatment Of The Beastie Boys
The Beastie Boys fell out with Russell Simmons and Def Jam after their smash hit debut album Licensed to Ill.
In the new doc The Beastie Boys Story, the two remaining members, Ad-Rock and Mike D, explain how Simmons and Rick Rubin pressured them to follow up Licensed To Ill quickly by withholding their royalties.
“During all this madness, we stopped being paid royalties,” Ad-Rock explains in the film. “We made money for playing shows — big shows like Madison Square Garden shows but zero dollars for the multiplatinum, smash hit Licensed To Ill.”
Mike D had said something similar in a newspaper interview in 2018.
"Russell was like, if you don’t go in the studio, then I’m not paying you…His calculation was that we would all be like, ‘Oh we want our millions. OK, Russell we’re going to do it.’ But we were all immediately, “F*ck you.”
The trio ended up leaving Def Jam for Capitol for their sophomore album Paul's Boutique.
They've since patched things up with Simmons and Rubin. Simmons still took the opportunity to express his regret on how he handled things while promoting the new doc.

Rick Ross Reveals True Nature Of His Beef With 50 Cent In Affidavit
For almost a year, Rick Ross was able to avoid a subpoena from 50 Cent, who needs him to testify in his lawsuit against his former lawyers.
Fif is suing Reed Smith for $32 million because he believes they screwed up his $7 million lawsuit loss to Ross's baby mama Lavonia Leviston, who had sued Fif over leaking her sex tape.
He wanted to depose Ross because an important part of 50's case against Reed is his allegation that they made a pre-trial agreement with Leviston's lawyers that would preclude Ross from testifying.
In March, a judge finally ordered Ross to sit for a deposition in 50's case against Reed.
In Ross's testimony, which leaked this week, he explained that while he viewed his beef with 50 as professional, 50 took it way too personally.
"For years, I have been engaged in what many people in our industry call a ''rap war" or ''beef"' with another hip-hop artist, Curtis Jackson, who is professionally known as "50 Cent," and is the plaintiff in this action.
During and subsequent to the 2009, Curtis and I engaged in this professional rivalry or "beef" in which we tried to humiliate each other, something that is not uncommon between rap artists. May rap artists use these beefs to generate fan interest and to raise their profile in the music industry. It could be said that these professional rivalries have become a music industry custom, at least as far as rap or hip-hop is concerned.
Although I have no ill will towards Curtis personally, I believe he truly dislikes me. Engaging in the beef with him was always supposed to be professional and about business. Our beef was meant to be fought primarily with words and rap artistry ... It is obvious that Curtis and I have had our beef over the years, but enough is enough"
Yesterday, Reed Smith filed a motion to dismiss 50 Cent's malpractice claim and grant them a summary judgment against him.
Boosie Badazz Rages Against Coronavirus Cancellation Of Boosie Bash: Reschedules Soon
Boosie Badazz doesn't care about no stinkin' Coronavirus.
The rapper and Instagram personality was not happy that he was forced to postpone a Boosie Bash for the sake of social distancing. So he raged about that this morning, furious that the schools were still open but the bash couldn't go on.

"How the f*ck you stop a Boosie bash but you ain't stop school, you hating a$$ b*tchs. D*ck sucking a$$ hoes.," Boosie complained.
Since he posted his video, Lousiana has closed its schools. (We're pretty sure the decision had nothing to do with Boosie's rant.)
Nevertheless, Boosie rescheduled the bash for this weekend.
View this post on InstagramIt’s official Sunday Everyone pull up hit up @1saturdays for more information
While the virus doesn't seem to have much effect on the younger folks that would be at a Boosie Bash, Boosie himself has a pre-existing condition and would be vulnerable to it.
Rick Ross’s Lawyer Responds To 50 Cent’s Deposition Request
Earlier this month, we learned that a judge gave 50 Cent and his legal team one last chance to subpoena Rick Ross so he can testify in a lawsuit Fif filed against his old lawyers.
50 is suing the law firm Reed Smith for malpractice related to his notorious $7 million lawsuit loss to Ross's baby mama Lavonia Leviston, who had sued Fif over leaking her sex tape. Fif wants $32 million.
An important part of 50's case against Reed is his allegation that they made a pre-trial agreement with Leviston's lawyers that would preclude Ross from testifying.
As such, he's been trying to subpoena Ross for a year. Ross has been skillfully dodging all of Fif's servers and has used his muscle when they get too close.
"Ross twice personally refused to take it. After Ross’ second personal refusal... Ross’ personal security approached the process server in a manner the service processer interpreted as intimidating, at which point the service processer exited the hotel," 50 Cent's lawyer Imran H. Ansari, Esq said about an incident in Boston.
HotNewHipHop reached out to Ross's lawyer about his client's refusal to help his rival Fif in his case. His response was pithy and a little trolly.
"Our client Mr. Roberts has no problem appearing for a deposition, he just requires that Mr. Jackson follow the law," says John T. Rose, Esq.
If Fif can't find Ross by March 31 the trial will go on without him.

Bhad Bhabie has been having a tough time lately.
We can't say exactly what's eating her -- although when we last heard from her she was beefing with Skai Jackson over NBA Youngboy.

Should Bhad Bhabie's fans be protecting her like Post Malone's fans are trying to protect him?
Cop Tried To Impress Girl At Bar With Gruesome Kobe Bryant Crash Scene Photos
Earlier this week, the LA Sherrif's department informed the families of the nine people who perished in the Kobe Bryant helicopter crash that a number of Sherrif's deputies and rescue personal had photos of the gruesome crash scene on their phones and at least one had shown people that had nothing to do with the investigation.
The Sherrif's department, who has known about this for weeks, reached out to the families because they believed news of the unauthorized photos was going to leak and they wanted the families to be prepared for media inquiries.
In one case, a Sherrif's deputy trainee tried to impress a girl at a bar by showing her the crash photos. A bartender who was disturbed by the display filed an online complaint with the Sheriff's department.
There are also reports the photos were passed around the Lost Hills Sheriff's substation, who responded to the crash, and L.A. County Fire Department.
50 Cent Drunkenly Addresses Snitching Allegations From Ja Rule, French Montana & More
Ja Rule, Irv Gotti, French Montana and (apparently) N.O.R.E. have all recently suggested that 50 Cent is a snitch, citing a long circulated Murder Inc-beef-era order of protection that labels Fif an "informant."
A drunk 50 Cent addressed the allegation head-on in a new Cigar Talk interview. [Jump to 19 minutes.]
"'Cause if you telling, you can't even look forward to going home," 50, who'd been drinking, said about snitching. Where you going after you get out? The neighborhood ain't accepting that. 'Bitch a$$ n*gga we heard you's a rat.' You know what I'm saying like that? They say these things when they want to talk their beef with me, personally. My character–they try to attack my character. They'll say, 'He a rat' or, 'He this and that.' All you gotta do is ask them who I told on? I ain't never told on no n*gga in my life. In the Preme situation, look at his case. It'll tell you who told on him. My name ain't in that case. You see what I'm saying? That talking about, they tried to use that I needed an order of protection, but why does it feels like I'm the bully out here then? You needed protection, n*gga. And your protection gone. That's the truth. N*ggas will try to put a spin on anything to try to make it look good and then when you get in disputes with the younger artists, new artists, they don't know what to use against you so they use what someone else used. So they go back and they go, 'Oh you this.' You heard it when Meek was talking sh*t, you heard it when French was talking and it's like, I don't take offense to it when they do it because I know what they're doing. I took offense where it actually started and you never see. Let Jimmy Henchman tell you I'm a snitch. Let Preme tell you I'm a snitch. Just say it one time. Because Jimmy been snitching since 1942 ... check the paperwork."
You buying that?
Jadakiss Speaks on Mase Calling Out Diddy Over Publishing
Jadakiss jas responded to Mase calling out Diddy last month over their business relationship and said he would have handled things differently.
Mase blasted Diddy in an Instagram message right after Diddy accepted the 2020 Grammy Salute to Industry Icons award and talked about rapper's having control and trying to push the culture forward.
Mase, who was signed to Bad Boy back in the day, said Diddy is full of it and claimed that he recently offered Puff $2 million for his publishing but Diddy turned it down.
"Your past business practices knowingly has continued purposely starved your artist and been extremely unfair to the very same artist that helped u obtain that Icon Award on the iconic Badboy label," read a part of Mase's message. "This is not black excellence at all. When our own race is enslaving us. If it’s about us owning, it can’t be about us owning each other."
Jadakiss — who had his own run-ins with Diddy over business with his group The Lox— weighed in on all of this during an interview with MreckTV.
Basically, Kiss said that Mase should've talked to Diddy personally and not air him out on social media. Kiss also talked about The Lox calling out Diddy over publishing during a 2005 interview with Angie Martinez and explained what the difference is. [Jump to 30 second mark].
"I think Mase gotta good enough relationship where he can go talk to Diddy," Kiss explained. "The way we did it on the radio with Angie Ma was different. We was young kids. We ain't understand business the way we do now being business owners and fathers and grown men about it," Jadakiss continued. "Mase had a better relationship with Diddy than we actually had. He can go talk to him."
"In [Mase's] defense, I don't know how it's going down," added Jada. "He doing what he gotta do. I just know I would handle it different at this point in life. When we did the whole 'Let The Lox Go' campaign we was teenagers or in our early 20s. Everybody's grown men now... But I don't know what happened. He might have tried [to talk to Diddy] and it ain't work."
Former 112 singer Quinnes "Q" Parker, who was signed to Bad Boy, also criticized Diddy and called him a hypocrite for saying one thing in his Industry Icons speech and doing another.
What are your thoughts on all this?
View this post on InstagramAngela Yee Explains Why She’s Not Friends With Charlamagne tha God
Angela Yee talked about where her friendship with Charlamagne Tha God stands during a recent interview.
They're relationship hit a snag when Charlamagne interviewed Gucci Mane in October. Gucci and Yee have been going back and forth since 2016 when the rapper visited The Breakfast Club, and Gucci had recently reiterated that Yee wanted to sleep with him back in the day, which she denied.
Gucci said he's been banned from The Breakfast Club because of that claim and when Charlamagne interviewed Gucci without his radio co-hosts, Gucci called Yee a "b*tch."
In her interview, Yee said that she and Charlamagne are just co-workers these days and nothing else.
"We’ve always been the same. We work together, it is what it is," she told Variety. "Like he said, we’re co-workers. A lot of people have jobs where they don’t necessarily love the people they work with, it’s just a part of life. That’s not the person you’d hang out with in real life."
Yee said that she's had issues with Charlamagne in the past too.
"There’s been a lot of experiences. The important thing is I’ve always been a responsible person. As a woman, too, you have to be a lot stronger," she said. "Things are always happening that if you let it bother you, you’ll be mad all the time. It’s hard not to [take things personally]. It sucks because sometimes you feel so numb. You used to get so upset over things and feel so much, after a while sh*t keeps happening, you’re just numb to it now."
Do you think Charlamagne was wrong for interviewing Gucci?
