Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry is reportedly plotting his return to the court just after the NBA's All Star break, despite the fact the team's playoff odds are bleak. According to The Athletic's Marcus Thompson II, Curry is targeting Golden State's March 1st home game against the Washington Wizards for his return to action.
The two-time MVP appeared in just four games this season before suffering a broken left hand. There were rumors that Curry would opt to sit out the remainder of the year as the Warriors' season continued to slip away, but it no longer looks like that will be the case.
Curry, who underwent a second surgery on his broken hand on November 1st, just recently returned to practice.
"Rehab is going great, every day is tough,” Curry said Saturday during Golden State's victory over Orlando. “When you're hurt, and we've all been there in some way shape or form, its a grind, every day kind of being monotonous with the little strength workouts you have to do, and you understanding that it takes time and patience to get back to 100 percent.”
The Warriors currently hold the worst record in the NBA at 10-34. For those scoring at home, that puts them 11 games back of the Memphis Grizzlies for the eighth seed in the Western Conference. Up next for the Curry-less Warriors is a Monday night road game in Portland, which will air on TNT at 10pm ET.

Richard Sherman Decimates Darelle Revis Over Twitter Slander
Richard Sherman had time.
Richard Sherman is one of the best cornerbacks in the entire NFL and is known for being able to get big interceptions when it matters. Last night was no exception as his San Francisco 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Sherman finished the game with an interception that sealed his team's fate. Now, Sherman will be headed to his third Super Bowl and his first with the 49ers.
After the game, retired cornerback Darelle Revis took to Twitter where he talked about Sherman and how he's not the best pound-for-pound corner out there. Revis questioned Sherman's abilities when it comes to man-to-man coverage which was something Sherman didn't appreciate. Sherman is a very active Twitter user and immediately saw Revis' tweets. That's when Sherman clapped back with a retort of his own, calling into question Revis' credentials.
Revis was one of the best cornerbacks in the game during his prime although Sherman is correct in saying he didn't have much playoff success. Sherman is a hard guy to talk trash to because he always holds his own. 49ers fans were quick to defend Sherman while other NFL fans thought Revis made some interesting points. Regardless, Sherman is off to the big game and at this point, that's all he should really care about.

15-Year-Old Coco Gauff Defeats Venus Williams At Australian Open
Coco Gauff beats Venus Willaims again.
Coco Gauff has repeated history as she returned to the Australia Open and issued out a win against Venus Williams just half a year after defeating the older Williams at Wimbledon.
"That was really difficult. She played really well," Gauff said post-match. "[...] I definitely was more confident this time. I think I was used to playing on big courts, so the crowd - I guess the size of the crowd didn't startle me as much as last time. Definitely, a bit more positive coming into this match.''
With her win, Gauff now becomes only the 4th woman in the past 30 years to win 6 or more major matches before turning 16.
Elsewhere in the tournament the favorites of Roger Federer, Noami Osaka, and Serena Williams all come out on top in their respective matches as Osaka took down the Czech Republic's Marie Bouzkova while Williams defeated Russia's Anastasia Potapova. Federer claimed his victory by beating out Steve Johnson of the USA.
