Billy Joe Saunders has been making quite the name for himself in boxing over the last couple of years although he has recently gotten himself in some trouble. During his Coronavirus quarantine, he decided to try his hand at being a comedian and ventured into some dark humor that we certainly won't condone nor agree with. In the video below, Saunders teaches his fans how to hit women in certain instances.
"I just wanted to make a little video for all you dads, husbands, if you’ve got girlfriends etcetera," Saunders said. "Obviously this COVID-19 is getting very serious and we are isolated away in tight spaces. If your old woman is giving you a little bit of mouth and you try to be patient, you try to be calm, cool, but after the 7th day or 6th day you’re just about to explode."
The British Boxing Board of Control immediately took notice of his comments and have decided to indefinitely suspend his boxing license until he has a hearing to decide what should happen next. This suspension comes at an awkward time as Saunders was set to take on Canelo Alvarez in May.
Saunders maintains he was trying to make a joke although very few people found it funny. Stay tuned for updates on this story as we will be sure to bring them to you.
Zion Williamson Offers To Pay Pelicans’ Workers Salaries During NBA Suspension
Zion a real one.
In response to the coronavirus shutting down the NBA season for now, Zion Williamson announced last night that he'll cover the salaries of all Smoothie King Center workers for the next 30 days.
Taking to Instagram, Zion wrote: ”The people of New Orleans have been incredibly welcoming and supportive since I was Drafted by the Pels last June, and some of the most special people I have met are those who work at smoothie King Center," Williamson wrote. "These are the folks who make our games possible, creating the perfect environment for our fans and everyone involved in the organization. Unfortunately, many of them are still recovering from long term challenges created by Katrina, and now face the economic impact of the postponement of games because of the virus.”
Williamson said the donation was inspired by his mother, and is a small way to express his support and appreciation for their hard work.
“My mother has always set an example for me about being respectful for others and being grateful for what we have, and so today I am pledging to cover the salaries for all of those Smoothie King Center workers for the next 30 days. This is a small way for me to express my support and appreciation for these wonderful people who have been so great to me and my teammates and hopefully we can all join together to relieve some of the stress and hardship caused by this national health crisis,” he wrote.
The Pelicans responded to Williamson's actions, tweeting out:
In addition to Zion, Giannis Antetekounmpo is also giving back to his Milwaukee family. He tweeted out that he and his family will donate $100,000 to those who work at Fiserv Forum, while Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love said on Instagram he was doing the same for those who work at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
MLB And NHL Reveal The Fate Of Their Seasons
Drastic times call for drastic measures.
Last night, the NBA decided to take drastic measures as two of its players were diagnosed with the Coronavirus. Those two players are Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz. It was a horrible situation that led to the complete shutdown of the league for at least 30 days. For now, the entire state of the Association is in jeopardy and fans are at a loss.
As you can imagine, this decision has led to mass panic around the sports world and now, multiple leagues are following suit. Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League recently announced that their seasons would be suspended indefinitely. The NHL is in the same situation as the NBA as their playoffs were supposed to go down next month. Meanwhile, Major League Baseball is suspending Spring Training and is also delaying the start of the regular season.
It feels as though every single league in the world has suspended operations. For the ones that haven't, a suspension is certainly on the horizon. Based on these latest actions, it truly feels as though the virus has taken on severity that many were unwilling to believe in over the past few weeks.

MLS Suspends Season Due To Coronavirus Fears
The MLS is the latest league to take matters into their own hands.
Coronavirus has taken over the public discourse over the last few days and now, sports leagues everywhere are being forced to take drastic actions. For instance, the NBA suspended all operations last night after it was revealed that Rudy Gobert tested positive for the Coronavirus. Now, his teammate Donovan Mitchell has the virus which makes this situation a lot worse. Teams around the league are being forced into quarantine and now, other leagues are following in the footsteps of the NBA.
According to Grant Wahl of Sports Illustrated, Major League Soccer has decided to suspend all operations until further notice. The MLS season had just begun so if they have to cancel it entirely, it won't be so bad compared to the NBA which had some teams already at the 65-game mark.
It will be interesting to see what other leagues decide to suspend their seasons. The NHL is expected to make a decision soon while Major League Baseball is in a position to be proactive. The season hasn't even started yet which gives them plenty of time to act now.

French Soccer Player Bites Rival’s Penis, Lengthy Suspension Ensues
You can't be doing that.
No man should ever bite another man's private parts. While this is a rule that probably shouldn't be spoken about, there are times where it bears repeating because of the few people who do it, out of sheer ignorance. Back in November, an amateur French soccer game occurred between Terville and Soetrich. At one point, two players began to get into an altercation. That's when a Terville player stepped in to break things up. According to Sports Illustrated, the Soetrich player retaliated by biting the interfering player on the penis.
The Terville player was rushed to hospital where he got 12 stitches to close up the wound. After months of deliberation, the soccer governing body for the league ruled that the player who committed the foul act would be suspended for five years.
What's interesting about this whole ordeal is the fact that the victim has been suspended until June 30th of this year. According to the report, his conduct in the parking lot after the game was deemed inappropriate, hence the suspension. To be fair, if you get your private parts bit, you're not going to be very happy about it.
Needless to say, this league has a lot to worry about moving forward.
Delonte West Video Leads To Suspension Of Maryland Police Officer
The officer could be subjected to harsh penalties.
Delonte West has been struggling as of late and fans are both upset and worried about the former NBA player. Earlier this week, disturbing footage hit the internet of West being beaten up in the middle of a street while people drove past. There was also a video of West being handcuffed and interrogated by police. Since the release of the video, fans and former teammates have hit social media to give their opinion on the ordeal and are calling for measures to ensure West's safety moving forward.
According to Complex, a huge development in the incident has come to light. In a recent press conference, Prince George's County Police Chief Hank Stawinski spoke about how the department is doing an investigation into how the video made it to the internet. In the meantime, the officer who took the video has been suspended and could face harsh punishment if he was the one who released the footage.
