On Tuesday (April 26), they hit Newcastle’s O2 City Hall, where they performed album tracks ‘2am’, which was released as a single back in February, and ‘2001’. Both tracks were given a live debut when they kicked off the tour at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on April 20. Drink spiking in clubs will remain “invisible crime” without help, report finds

Drink spiking in clubs will remain an “invisible crime” without help from police and venues, a new report has concluded. An inquiry into drink spiking by the Home Affairs Committee found that “nine in 10 victims did not receive support” after they had their drink spiked. The findings said that drink spiking is “widespread and dangerous” and have urged the Home Office to make drink spiking a criminal offence by law in the hope it will act as a deterrent. Advertisement “The creation of a new spiking criminal offence, currently under consideration by the Government, would help improve the response to incidents and effectiveness of prevention strategies”, the committee stated. The committee also completed a survey in response to an increase in drink spiking that was reported in 2021. Some 1895 respondents said they’d been victims of drink spiking while 1413 people said they’d witnessed drink spiking. Improvements suggested by MPs include more support for victims of drink spiking, more practical action from police and venues where there is a higher prevalence of drink spiking are being urged to take a more pro-active response to prevent future occurrences. Travis Scott has appeared on a widely-available single for the first time since last year’s Astroworld festival, where a tragic crowd crush led to the death of 10 people and many more injuries. ‘Hold That Heat’ is a collaboration between 808 Mafia producer Southside, rapper Future and Scott, and arrives alongside a Philip Andelman-directed video that features Scott holding an alligator on a chain. The collection, titled Came The Lightening, contains 20 poems that Olivia penned to George following his death in 2001. Mac Miller: drug dealer sentenced to almost 11 years in prison

One of the three drug dealers charged in the death of rapper Mac Miller has been sentenced to 11 years in prison today (April 18). Ryan Michael Reavis, 39, who appeared in federal court in Los Angeles today, had previously said he had no idea the counterfeit pills he provided to another dealer before they were handed to Miller had been laced with fentanyl. Today he was sentenced to a total of ten years and 11 months in prison by District Judge Otis D. Wright II. In addition to the prison time, Reavis also was sentenced to three years of supervised release with drug testing.
