Sasha Keable Delivers Soulful Performance on Saturday Night Live UK

South London singer-songwriter Sasha Keable brought her signature blend of grit and grace to the stage of Saturday Night Live UK last night (October 10). Serving as the musical guest for the fourth episode of the show’s second series, hosted by Danny Dyer, Keable delivered a compelling performance that highlighted her status as one of the most exciting voices in contemporary R&B.

Keable opened her set with her recently released single, ‘Options’. The track, which arrived on October 1, offers a candid exploration of the complexities of intimacy following a breakup. Speaking on the song’s origin, Keable shared: “When I walked into the studio Eddie had already been working on the melody. I started singing back to him the first thing that came into my head: ‘breakup sex’ – and that became the lyric, I was like, right, that’s what we’re talking about.”

Following the opening number, she treated the audience to ‘Why’, a track originally released in 2024 and featured on her acclaimed 2025 EP, Act Right. The performance underscored the soulful depth that has earned her widespread critical praise, including a five-star review from NME, which described her work as a “stunning reintroduction to the world.”

Keable’s appearance on the show marks another milestone in a breakout year. Beyond her recent television spot, she has toured with GIVĒON, supported Olivia Dean, and performed at the Roots Picnic festivals. Looking ahead, she is set to join a star-studded lineup—including Jorja Smith, FLO, Corinne Bailey Rae, and Lianne La Havas—for a special 20th-anniversary celebration of Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black at London’s Roundhouse on October 21.
