Popeyes really got all the free promo when they released their much-talked about chicken sandwich. For whatever case, the world was all too excited to try the sandwich, and with social media helping keep the sandwich in constant conversation, it meant that it was sold out almost immediately when it first debuted.
Well, it seems like KFC wants a piece of the chicken sandwich action, and really, why shouldn't they? The fast food restaurant is, after all, also all about fried chicken. Lo and behold: the "KFC Chicken Sandwich." A name that tells you exactly what it is.
Andrea Zahumensky, KFC's chief marketing officer, says this new chicken sandwich "boasts an upgrade of every single component" from their last sandwich debut, the "Crisp Colonel."
Apparently, it took a year to perfect their chicken sandwich, and now they're finally ready to let the world have a bite. The sandwich is debuting at certain locations in Orlando, Florida for a trial period, while there are plans to roll it out at more than 4,000 KFC locations if all goes well.
KFC Pulls Finger Lickin Good Campaign Amid Coronavirus Outbreak
KFC received several complaints about their irresponsible "finger licking good" campaign.
In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Kentucky Fried Chicken is pulling an advertising campaign after receiving complaints about their irresponsible message.
The fast-food giant has suspended it’s “Finger Lickin Good” campaign in the U.K. according to a report from TheBlast. The campaign focuses on extreme finger-licking and included KFC’s famous “finger-lickin' good” tagline. The commercial includes people who were so impressed while eating KFC chicken they had to lick their fingers fully after the meal.
With the coronavirus spreading through Europe and the world, some viewers found it downright irresponsible to air that commercial. More than 150 people complained to the U.K.’s advertising review board, and therefore on Thursday, KFC pulled the ads.
A spokesperson for Advertising Standards Authority said: “We have been in touch with KFC, who had already taken the decision to withdraw the ad before we had informed them of the complaints. On that basis, we won’t be taking any further action on this occasion.”
The fast-food chain isn’t alone however. In recent days, Coors Light and Hershey Co. have also pulled ads over fears that depicting hugs and handshakes or making jokes about working from home could be seen as insensitive. We’ll continue to keep you posted on the coronavirus pandemic moving forward.
Kim Kardashian Shows Off Her KFC Crocs
Kim Kardashian West was gifted a pair of the Fried Chicken Clogs designed by KFC and Crocs.
Kentucky Fried Chicken, also known as KFC, has been making some increasingly strange moves as of late. In addition to their major Beyond Meat announcement several weeks ago, it was revealed that the Colonel would be collaborating with Pizza Hut on a Popcorn Chicken Pizza. If that wasn’t enough to fill your stoner cravings, they’re also testing out a Fried Chicken Sandwich enclosed with doughnuts… Finally, KFC is also getting into the shoe game, oddly pairing up with Crocs to design a limited-edition chicken-scented clog, which is truly the weirdest shit ever. In case that wasn’t WTF-worthy enough for you, they gifted Kim Kardashian West with her very own pair of the shoes after she and her husband, Kanye West, posted up at the restaurant during Paris Fashion Week.
“So I woke up this morning to a delivery from Kentucky Fried Chicken,” said Kim on her Instagram story. “They are Kentucky Fried Chicken Crocs and they are introducing new Beyond Meat chicken.”
Showing off the platform clogs, which have a fried chicken design on the top and the iconic red and white KFC stripes on the midsole, Kardashian didn’t seem too keen on actually placing the kicks on her feet. How much would you bet that she never slips these on? After all, Kim Kardashian has a reputation to uphold in the fashion world and a pair of KFC Crocs ain’t exactly suiting her glamourous lifestyle.
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West KFC Kiosk Immortalized With Plaque
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are immortalized at a KFC restaurant in Paris.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were recently seen hanging around in Paris enjoying some time together. The couple was on their way to Jean Paul Gaultier but first stopped at KFC to fulfill their hunger requests.
Kim captured the entire moment. Kim shared a video on her Instagram story showing both her and Kanye ordering from a touch screen machine at KFC. Moments later Kim shared a picture of her posing in the mirror and Kanye on a fancy bench chomping down a bucket of chicken.

It appears when Kim captured the moment, it went viral and fans rushed to the KFC to see the celebrity couple. The next day, KFC France shared with a tweet the moment the couple ordered from their Strasbourg St. Denis branch alongside a picture of a custom made bucket with Kanye’s lyrics from his song “Take The Sky.” Not only did the couple receive a custom branded bucket, but they also received a plaque on the exact machine they ordered from for future customers to see when they walk in. The plaque reads, “Kim Kardashian and Kanye West ordered at this station” in English, according to a Kanye fan page on Instagram.
KFC is not only handing out plaques but they will soon come out with a chicken sandwich with donut glazed buns in March.

“Chicken & Donuts is the newest fried chicken trend we’re bringing to all of America,” said KFC U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Andrea Zahumensky in a press release. “But not just any donut would do. Only a donut that’s glazed-to-order and served piping hot every single time can stand next to our hand-breaded fried chicken. It’s a finger-lickin’ good dish filled with glaze and glory.”
The menu will include three new options: Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Basket meal; Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts Sandwich; a donut add-on to any meal for an additional cost. The prices of these options will range from $5.49 to $7.99.
In celebration of the new items, KFC is opening a pop-up store in Los Angeles titled "The Colonel's (Chicken &) Donuts Shop," which will open for one day on Saturday, February 22. The first fifty guests will receive free chicken and donuts.
KFC first tested the "Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts" items in 2019 at limited locations.
In other KFC news, earlier this month, the fast-food chain teamed up with Crocs for a new pair of chicken-themed shoes. Check out the crocs, which retail for $59.99 here.
The "Kentucky Fried Chicken & Donuts" options will be available nationwide through March 16.
Kanye West Gets Jokes For Leaving Kim Kardashian In Elevator With Bags
Kanye West & Kim Kardashian West's Parisian shopping spree was the center of attention following a chuckle-worthy elevator video clip.
Another candid moment between the Kardashian-Wests has captured the attention of the masses. Days ago, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian went viral after an NBA All-Star Weekend game clip of the two lovebirds surfaced online. On Wednesday (February 19), the K couple was once again a trending topic, but this time it was over brief elevator video.

On Wednesday, The pair were parading around Paris as they shopped at high-end stores, including Jean-Paul Gaultier where Ye chowed down on Kentucky Fried Chicken. The couple shared a few images of their French vacation while they stole away a few moments without their four children. Kim gave her 160 million followers a brief glimpse at the shopping-filled afternoon, but it was a video of the couple in an elevator that made the rounds online.
In the clip, the Wests are seen descending in a glass elevator. They're captured giving each other a smooch before they realize people are watching them. Kanye exits the elevator all smiles and the video ends showing Kim left alone picking up two large bags of clothing by herself as the elevator doors attempt to close with her still inside. The public couldn't help but chuckle at the video and leave their reactions about Ye leaving Kim to fend for herself, so we've included both them and the video below.

Haute Couture meets Colonel Sanders as Kanye West & Kim Kardashian take a break from their Jean-Paul Gaultier fitting to get some KFC.
Kanye West famously rapped, “Closed on Sunday/ You’re my Chick-Fil-A” but it appears that he fancies KFC above all and that shouldn’t be shocking.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West paid a visit to Jean-Paul Gaultier, a high-end fashion designer, where she was seen rocking a bodysuit at the France office. In typical Kim Kardashian fashion, she took a few photos and strutted her stuff while Kanye was presumably kicking it. Kim hit the ‘Gram sharing photos of herself rocking the bodysuit before sharing a video of herself and Kanye at a KFC somewhere in France. Business wasn’t done, though. Kim and Kanye shared a photo of themselves back at the office while she poses for mirror selfie and Kanye chows down. Perhaps this is their way of trying to say “we’re not all that different after all.”
It doesn’t appear that there were any Chick-Fil-A’s or Popeye’s available seeing as how he was overseas but his love for KFC has been documented in the past. On “Touch The Sky,” the rapper previously recounted eating at KFC with his dates before he ever ran into large amounts of money in his music career. “Before anybody wanted K. West beats/ Me and my girl split the buffet at KFC,” he rapped. Apparently, his love for KFC is unconditional, even when everyone wants a K. West beat.
KFC x Crocs Launch Chicken-Scented Clog Collab
KFC and Crocs are prepared to release an exclusive run of clogs equipped with chicken-scented drumstick jibbitz.
Crocs and KFC have teamed up for one of the most ambitious crossovers in the history of fast food and footwear, much to the delight of all the clog-wearing, Famous Bowl-eating, fried chicken enthusiasts of the world.
The KFC x Crocs Classic Clog comes equipped with a crispy, golden brown upper, highlighted by red and white stripes just like the buckets that KFC's goods are delivered in. If that's simply not enough to showcase your love for all things Colonel Sanders, these clogs also come with removable chicken-scented, drumstick Jibbitz.
"Combining the unmistakable look of our world-famous fried chicken and signature KFC bucket, with the unparalleled comfort and style of Crocs, these shoes are what fried chicken footwear dreams are made of," KFC CMO Andrea Zahumensky said in a news release.
The KFC x Crocs Classic clog, available in unisex sizes, is slated to drop this sometime this spring for the retail price of $59.99. Fans can sign up on Crocs.com to be the first to receive a reminder when the limited-edition chicken clogs drop.
KFC & Pizza Hut Join Forces To Concoct "Popcorn Chicken Pizza"
Just in time for National Pizza Day.
Finger-lickin' chicken joint KFC has called on Pizza Hut for the crossover of the century: "The KFC Popcorn Chicken Pizza." The fast food chains are pulling out all the stops to celebrate National Pizza Day on February 9th in the U.K., by combining all the elements that make both of their signature dishes so popular. Pizza Hut’s crispy pan-style crust base is drizzled with KFC’s classic gravy, coated in mozzarella cheese, topped with sweet corn and, of course, we can't forget the pieces of Popcorn Chicken. This unusual pairing will be available as a menu option for a limited time at Pizza Hut locations across the U.K. until February 16th.

After Pizza Hut teased the collaboration in a tweet last week, both fast food companies took to Twitter to make the official announcement.
Earlier this month, KFC announced the soft launch of a new plant-based meat menu option called Beyond Fried Chicken. This option will be available at 100 select locations across North Carolina for a limited time from February 3rd-23rd. The launch is their way of testing the success of offering plant-based alternatives to their famous fried chicken.
